Extremely poor refund process - refuses to follow EU Consumer Law
I would like to share my very disappointing experience with Carpe Omnia Lifestyle, in the hope of warning other customers who are considering buying from this store.
On February 28th, 2025, I ordered 4 pairs of jeans through their website. I decided to return 2 of these items (both size 34) and followed their official return process exactly as instructed.
The returned items were delivered and signed for at their warehouse on March 13th, 2025, proven by tracking.
However, this is where the real problem began.
Despite being fully entitled to a monetary refund under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (which gives consumers the right to a full refund within 14 days of a return being received), Carpe Omnia Lifestyle refused to refund me to my original payment method.
Instead, they insisted on only offering store credit because I had purchased the items with a discount — something that is completely against EU law for online purchases. Discounted items are not an exception to your legal right to a refund.
My efforts to resolve the issue:
I contacted them multiple times by email, clearly explaining my legal rights.
I provided all proof of return and payment.
They continued to claim that "refunds on discounted items are not possible" — which is misleading and false for EU consumers.
They delayed any response and processing for weeks — far beyond their own stated 15 working days return handling time.
As of today, despite clear legal obligations, I still have not received my refund.

The European Consumer Centre (ECC) Netherlands, who handle cross-border consumer disputes.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) Ireland, to report this breach of EU consumer law.
My honest advice to other customers:
Be extremely cautious when ordering from Carpe Omnia Lifestyle.
If you are not 100% sure you want to keep your items — think twice.
Their refund policy is misleading and does not respect EU consumer rights.
Their customer service is slow, unhelpful, and dismissive of legal obligations.
Even after returning items within their rules, you may have to fight hard to get your money back.
I truly hope my experience helps other customers avoid going through the same frustrating process.
