Tod and the Carrington Leigh team were recommended to me by my kitchen supplier and the project started as a simple strip out, and kitchen refit. It included taking up old flooring and it soon became apparent that it was going to be much more complicated. Tod and the team quickly came up with solutions to a number of problems thrown up by the house and its previous occupiers throughout the project. Additional costings were also speedily supplied, providing me with alternative solutions where possible, so that there were no surprises. Once I had a new floor (with underfloor heating) the team then worked seamlessly alongside the kitchen fitters to complete the job.

Tod’s team were exemplary, in their professionalism and, at times, going beyond the job at hand to ensure the job ran as smoothly as possible and to minimise delays.

We contracted Carrington Leigh in September 2023 to reconfigure our first floor, including adding an ensuite bathroom - and we are absolutely delighted.

Communication was first rate throughout. Tod spent time with us to define the project, linking in professional advice (e.g. architect, surveyor) where appropriate. The quotation provided was detailed and extremely well considered. As the project developed, Tod kept us updated daily. When decisions needed to be made, Tod was able to effectively outline the situation and define possible solutions in layman's terms - detailing the pros and cons.

We always felt confident that the highest building standards were being adhered to, and that regulatory and safety considerations were at the forefront throughout. Tod had a keen eye for detail and was committed to ensuring that snagging items were promptly identified and dealt with.

The various workstreams (plumbing, construction, etc) were very effectively coordinated by Tod, leading to a really efficient delivery. Everyone who worked on the project was unfailingly polite and respectful of our home - which makes a real difference.

Outstanding customer service and all aspects of the job completion to an excellent standard

Todd and his team re-redesigned our back garden with new surfaces, decking, fencing and raised beds, on a very tight time schedule. Not only did Tod work very hard to meet the deadlines but he also helped in the design, adding extra style, and suggested good value material options. We were very impressed with his managing skills and his team who were punctual, reliable, hard workers and executed tasks with care and attention. Tod was very hands-on and transparent about the process and pricing as well as making it an enjoyable experience and the result was fantastic. We are looking forward working with him again on our future projects.

A delight from start to finish. Thanks to Carrington Leigh we have a new garden office, and re-landscaped front and back gardens that we love.

Tod (building works) and Kalpna (garden works) paid attention to what was important to us, made us part of the team in problem solving, and dealt with any subcontractor issues in full so that we didn’t have to. All of Tod’s tradespeople were equally professional and respectful throughout.

There were known challenges around our limited access and a very small site, surprise challenges around material shortages and in amongst all that, the arrival of our second son; all expertly managed by Tod.

Tod spent a reassuringly long time on the quote, ironing out the most challenging aspects of the project in advance, and making sure we got the best solution to balance out our expectations with our budget.

We would 100% use Carrington Leigh again and couldn't recommend them highly enough.

A really excellent service. Carrington Leigh came in after a previous builder botched the job at the start - Tod took over and he and his team of workers were really excellent. Everything was explained to us and there were clear communications throughout regarding what was happening, when they would need access, what decisions we needed to make, etc. They were very efficient, tidied up after themselves, and were flexible and accommodating around family life! The resulting work and finish is incredible and looks way better than I had expected. It has the 'wow factor'! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Tod took on a number of jobs for me, from the simple to the complex, and each project was treated with the same high level of care and attention to detail. He was as comfortable in executing precise requests as he was with helping to fill in the detail of more basic ideas. The level of communication was excellent from start to finish, and his team carried out all the work to a high standard.

Carrington Leigh was a delight to deal with from start to finish. Tod is a great project manager and coordinator of the various tradesmen and has assembled a truly professional set of workmen delivered to a very high standard.

He ensures all the snagging is done until you are happy with everything and has a fine eye for detail himself which is a great asset. He understands where you are coming from as a client and often makes suggestions on options you haven't thought of for the better.

They installed a new front door, pathway and glazing, and some custom built cupboards, TV storage and shelves in our loft eaves room. Highly recommended for any job big or small.

Thank you so much for all your hard work with our daughter's room. It is so nice to know that the room will be nice and cosy for her come winter time. We really appreciated your leadership with the work Tod. You were so communicative and attentive. We felt very reassured by this and grateful too as we have our hands pretty full at the moment with a baby and toddler. Having to manage all the trades ourselves would have been quite stressful and the work probably would not have gone so smoothly. Your team members all did great work and were extremely conscientious so please pass on our thanks to them too. We will be in touch when we are ready to move onto the next room!
