If I could give it zero stars I would. They are awful. They have erroneously reported late payments, which have sent my 800 credit rating to barely above 700. It has also affected my other revolving credit. Their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. They are not only unhelpful but aggressively rude. They have multiple numbers purporting to deal with all issues, but it all funnels back into the same people who are rude and unhelpful. I alternately get told the only option to resolve this is to write to a PO box in Indiana or various fax numbers but never both in the same call. The one constant is there is no way for a customer to contact anyone who can actually help with a dispute directly. If there is any way I could avoid dealing with them, I would. My mortgage was sold to them, so I have no choice.

I'm infuriated. I've been w Carrington for over a decade. Every payment on time. Carrington made a simple mistake pulling a transaction, said it was taken care of... and that it wouldn't be on my credit. Except. It wasn't taken care of. They still railroaded my credit as a serious delinquent. Shocker. I was denied a big loan because of this negligence. Meanwhile they are leaving messages all the time trying to get me to take one of their loans. Is this payback for not taking their loan? Who knows.

We had a flood in our home. Our insurance company recommended a restoration company, which we approved to do the repairs. Our insurance company mailed us a check for the repairs, to be indorsed by our mortgage company, Carrington and then dispursed to the restoration company to start the repairs. That was in August and this is January. Carrington refuses to endorse the check, rejects the bids, everytime they're submitted, and does not communicate to us or the restoration company. We've called and called and requested a supervisor, left messages as instructed and received no communication. It is my opinion they've committed fraud against us and will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Financial Bureau.
