Fantastic Staff
Had a wonderful experience while selling our car to Cars24 dealership. Not taking certain cars any more
I gave cars 24 a one star rating because I went through the process of putting my car up for sale and I got to put in all of my car details and also had photos put in and then I got to the bit where it asked me to get a report done and to pay the $34 and it would help with selling my car so that’s exactly what I did and I couldn’t go any further for some reason so I contacted them. I need to be told that they’re not buying cars at the moment and I said well why wouldn’t you say that before people spend all that time putting up their car and loading putting hold information in and then buying a report for $34 only to be told you’re not purchasing that type of car or any cars at the moment as you have too many I would never have bought that report for you when I can get them for $25) elsewhere have I had known that you would not be interested in buying my car which is A1 mechanical interior and exterior your loss will be taking this further

The report is intended to provide an independent assessment that can assist owners in understanding their vehicle’s condition and can also be used when selling privately, trading in, or discussing the vehicle with other buyers.
Vehicle purchasing eligibility is determined separately and depends on factors such as vehicle type, age, condition, retail suitability, and current buying requirements at the time of enquiry. In this instance, the vehicle was not eligible for direct purchase through our retail buying program, however a trade-in pathway was discussed as an alternative option.

A total disaster
A total disaster. They initiated contacted with me. They offered a fair price for my car and it was all downhill after that. They set up a video call to view and inspect my car. Technology didn’t work and they said they would arrange alternative inspection. They never did. I called them on 3 successive days and they indicated they would return my calls. They never did. A very non/professional organisation. Avoid st all costs.

A virtual inspection was initially arranged for your vehicle; however, repeated attempts to complete the assessment were impacted by connectivity and reception issues during the call.
To explore alternative options, arrangements for a physical inspection were looked into, but unfortunately your location was outside the serviceable area for third-party inspections. As the vehicle required a proper assessment before proceeding further, we were unable to move ahead without a completed inspection.

Don't need to look elsewhere
Amazing! They made test driving and car selection super easy and stress free. They let me fully check out the car! When I had to cancel the purchase, they refunded the full deposit in 2 days!! Their website and app are so easy to use; sounds like nothing but having an easy to use website and app means that they care about the customer experience. I tell people don't even bother going elsewhere if they're in Sydney; go to Cars24 and they'll look after you.

Beware of the sales techniques these scammers use to buy your car.
They commit to one offer but back out once you have agreed to the offer price.
They seem to lack the Australian way of doing business with integrity and honesty.
I have asked for an escalation of the complaint to have no further explanation or comment from Carsales 24.

Absolute Time Wasters
Except for their initial contact with me offering a price for my car which I had advertised on Carsales the whole process was a waste of my time.Cars24 initially contacted me regarding the purchase of my car , which I had not offered directly. From the outset, the process was inconvenient. The first scheduled video inspection did not go ahead as planned, as no one attended at the agreed time. Although the inspection was later rescheduled and completed, the experience did not improve.
Following the inspection, I received no communication. I had to follow up myself to determine whether there was any interest in my vehicle. At that point, I was asked to upload additional photos of the service book, despite the fact that the representative conducting the video inspection had already reviewed and discussed these documents with me.
While I was open to selling my car, whether through Cars24 or another buyer, I expected a basic level of communication and professionalism. Even a simple acknowledgment or a “thanks, but no thanks” would have been appreciated.
After emailing them with my complaint I amazingly had a text message from them saying that I hadn't responded to their offer! I had no such offer!
The whole process was an absolute waste of my time.

Mazda Sale
Cars24 closed on the sale in good time. They are a licensed car dealer so while the price is lower than retail they have a reasonably efficient process that largely eliminates the hassle. Note their dealer license no. does not require the first zero for lodging the notice of disposal in NSW. Yes would use them again.
