I'd definitely recommend CarSupermarket.com Birmingham because I had an excellent experience buying my car. Abdul was knowledgeable, honest, and never made me feel pressured. The staff answered all my questions, kept me informed throughout the process, and made everything straightforward. I would definitely buy from them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality vehicle.

Having previously left a positive review upon purchasing my car from CarSupermarket in Birmingham, having been on the end (and still ongoing) of some very poor customer service I would definitely think twice about purchasing your car from them. I drove my car home on the motorway after purchasing and thought the steering felt a bit funny but thought it was just me not used to the car. However two weeks in, it was definitely the car’s steering. I emailed Alex who had sold me the car and who said that if there was any help I needed to contact him, I did and got no reply, I chased up and got a call from someone called Dan asking me to get some quotes for inspection, which I did do and again got no response. Conveniently for them my 30 days consumer rights to reject the car had elapsed. I chased again and someone called Kevin called me back to tell me he had booked my car in at a local kwikfit that day at 3pm, no consultation, but I said I would try my best to get the car there. When collecting my car they advised that although the alignment was slightly off it wouldn’t be affecting the steering as it was and that a suspension arm had been replaced on the vehicle, the car is 2 years old. Worse case is that the car has been in an accident. I called and was told that Alex was in but when giving my name conveniently he wasn’t available and Kevin had left 30 minutes prior to me calling. I explained the situation to someone else who was going to get Kevin to call me. I’m still waiting 4 days later. I had such high hopes with a positive purchase originally that the customer service would follow through but apparently once you’ve brought the car they don’t want to help!

Phenomenal experience. I will try to keep short.
We reserved a car, and had it transferred, whilst on holiday in Egypt, to Birmingham; the guys in the call center were friendly and super helpful, and a shout out to Jack Burton is warranted. It was freshly MOTd, and had a video sent over for us to look over. The process to do this was simple, and efficient.
When we came to view the car, the condition and prep was outstanding. They really made an effort, which is a rarity nowadays. Freshly cleaned seats, proper valet, parked ready to view at the front, and with a full charge. All paperwork present. Utterly phenomenal. We have been to many dealers over the years, who cant even do one of the above, let alone all of it.
We bought the car there and then, and took it home, with the assurance that we had a 30 day 500 mile, return it if you dont like it arrangement, due to distance selling regs combined with their own policy. Awesome.
The buying process was simple, and friendly. Jon was brilliant, and a really helpful and normal bloke to deal with. Didnt feel fake at all, and the chat felt genuine. Everything was explained to me, simply, and coherently. New keeper registration, and taxing, all done in front of me, super quick. Additional products were offered, as expected, but it was quick, and ZERO pressure.
We have had the car a couple of weeks now and it is a gem. We love it. Exactly what we were after, in great condition. We had one small issue, which can happen with ANY used car, and this has been dealt with and refunded for already (brake fluid change, no biggie).
The ONLY thing i would say that could have improved it, was if we had a better PX valuation so we could have done a single transaction when changing our cars, however, that being said, they have to price their cars competetively.
Overall, i would highly recommend Carsupermarket.com, and will definitely consider using them again. Honestly, we have bought many cars (usually once a year at least), from a whole host of different traders, and this absolutely is up there as one of the best experiences. Thank you to all

I did a part exchange of my old Toyota Yaris for a nearly new Aygo x which has been the best thing I have ever done! Lauren Wild at the Stockport CarSupermarket was brilliant throughout the whole process and problem-solved with me at tricky moments .... she was an absolute star!

I visited the car supermarket in Birmingham macadown lane.
I past exchanged my car for a newer model.
I dealt with Joe who I found very professional and was
happy to help and answer any questions easily, and was highly knowledgeable. The customer service was excellent with tea and coffee provided for customers who possibly could be there a couple of hours. I have always used this company and will continue to do so.

I was walked through the whole process from start to finish also with a follow up phone call. Was no more difficult than popping to the shops for a loaf of bread.

Two parts to the review, hence the 4 out of 5 stars. The sales rep was faultless, very helpful and bent over backwards to get me the deal I wanted, at the time I wanted, so for him, 5 out of 5 all day long.
However, the way the car was prepped leaves a bit to be desired. There were still stains and marks on the inside, they had used silicone spray on the dashboard which fogs up the MID display area, and took a while to clean off. However most annoyingly, the person they have fitting the number plates has drilled two holes DIRECTLY INTO THE METAL BODYWORK to mount the number plate with tin screws, when there are two dedicated mounting lugs just above it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'm going to have to have them filled and painted to stop the area rusting over time, and get new number plates to mount correctly.

I was mis‑sold DuroCare and the whole refund process was a nightmare. Their own system showed I was entitled to a refund, but it was delayed for weeks and caused a lot of stress. When I gave honest feedback on JudgeService, they closed the thread without resolving anything. The customer service and refund handling completely ruined the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them based on how they treated me.

I have had two cars from these. One was rejected due to having an engine light on within a few days of arrival, they were happy to pay for repairs and diagnostics at the start, they they sent me to KwikFit to get further repairs completed. Who didn't manage to fix numerous other issues so I rejected the car.
My replacement was then sent within a few days of my other being returned.
Issue were as follows!!
Engine Management Light issues (reported 2 days after receiving the car) Reputable local garage had 2 attempts at fixing, Expert VAG specialist seems to have fixed the light issue, but now have a whirring noise at approx 40mph.
Constant loud brake noise (reputable garage advised they were lipped and needed replacing, was sent by carsupermarket to KwikFit again who wouldn;t replace even though they could hear the loud noise, went to KwikFit 3 times and carsupermarket did not replace brakes. Just had an MOT and advisory was replace brake pads! Which I am now expected to pay for!
Air Con/fans not pumping any air (Issue was fixed)
Rear Parking aid fault when first using the car. (Still have issues on and off now, but not every time I get in the car)
Rear washer jets not working. (Jets did work after repair, however, now front and rear washer jets not working)
I have since reported the following;
Front and rear washers inoperative (maybe linked to previous repair, but not sure)
Whirring noise at approx 40 mph
Passenger-side mirror not deploying when starting car
Loud brake screeching (been advised in report needed replacing, KwikFit disagreed but could hear the loud noise!)
Again, I have been to garages 10 plus times with this car to try and get issues fixed, every time I think the car seems to be okay a week later there is another issue. I have lost time from work, the car for probably longer than a month of the 6 months, i've borrowed another car, got lifts to and from numerous garages, without much thanks, considering I could have just sent the car back. I was also advised to wait a month or so before fixing the brakes to check the EML issue was resolved (I hope this wasn't to drag me past the 6 month period) This issue still hasn't been fixed, even though a reputable garage (not Kwiks**t) reported a week after buying the car that the brakes had a slight lip which was causing the noise, KwikFit advised nothing wrong but could here the very loud screech but couldn't change them as understaffed, carsupermarket then sent me to a KwikFit 15 miles away who said they couldn't find a fault. So this issue is still outstanding from the first 6 months also.
As soon as 6 months passed the aftersales team become completely uninterested in you, requested me to pay diagnostic fees and see if warranty would cover the issues! I had to report to the finance company also and pay for engineer reports from my own pocket even though I have all the evidence that this was reported in the first few days after receiving delivery of the car.
I'm now left with a car that has issues and is going to cost me thousands, the way it's going there will be another problem within the next couple of weeks too.
Considering the numerous issues with the rejected car, I would have hoped this car would have been thoroughly checked considering the previous issues, but within 2 days EML on. Very unlikely that 4 issues appeared within 3 days of having the vehicle! And none of them were there when the car left the garage.
I could not tell you how strongly I would say do not use this company if you want to buy a used car!
Also, they are not accredited to the Motor Ombudsman, so they can not take over your complaint either. Which I think speaks huge volumes!
CarSupermarket, please do not reply to me with sorry for your experience please email us. You do not care and have not helped me for 8 months! So do not pretend you care about the customers as you clearly do not.
In response to the ridiculous reply that I knew would come! I think anybody looking at buying a car should twice. They say my car didn't have faults present on arrival but I have all evidence to show I reported these within 4 days of the vehicle being delivered. The engineers report I personally had to pay for (more costs to me!) showed that the fault that is currently there, AdBlue pump reductant was linked to previous faults of DPF and EGR cooler. You then got your own report done to state the opposite!
With regards to the previous car you accepted in rejection. This was within a month, you had no choice and knew I was getting another car from yourselves so it didn't matter. My current car is over 6 months so you do not have to legally take it back under consumer rights. So that's another load of rubbish! You are not fair at all, but I knew you'd make it look like you've done all you could. By the way I reported a brake issue within 4 days and they still haven't been replaced!! Thanks!

The car I was interested in purchasing was moved to Barnsley which was easier for me to travel to. All the staff at Barnsley were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. I had a lovely sales executive called Kasia. The car was spotless inside and out. A little more information on how some things worked would have maybe helped without the use of the handbook, until I have familiarised myself with all the controls. However, the following day , a warning light came on, which when I rang Carsupermarket they asked me to return to Barnsley straight away and the car needed a new sensor, which has been ordered. Unfortunately, this is an 80 mile round trip for me so not one I want to be doing on a regular basis. The following day the coolant warning light came on. Checking the level I found it was way below the minimum mark. Although this was something I was able to do myself, I was disappointed that these things under the bonnet had obviously not been checked before the sale. This is something that needs addressing. I was surprised to find that no one noticed the car didn't have a parcel shelf, discovered after my test drive. Kasia immediately ordered one to be delivered to my home address to avoid another trip to Barnsley. Yes, some of these things could have been avoided but the service I have received from Carsupermarket has been very good.
