This company is ridiculous !! they asked me my van Vauxhall combo 15 Reg ,if have any issues, and I explained to them , is just clutch issue and nothing else, and they offered me 400£ and the next day when they collected the van , called me and they say we inspected the van , had so many issues and the price dropped to 100£ , if you want come and collect your van , if you want leave it, completely ridiculous !!!! I don’t recommend this company, is totally scam!!!

The entire thing was so simple and quick it was all completed in less than 72 hours and was also the highest valuation offered. Collection was quick professional and polite.

The whole process was completed on line, the price was accepted and a collection date was fixed. The driver was prompt and polite. Due to other reviews of similar companies, there was the fear of being 'knocked back' on the price, but there was no hassle and the price was paid as agreed.

I accepted the offer 900£, after few days they called me and offered for my car Only for 160£. Alone engine cost over 1000£ , the car drivers and start. Only minor fault easy fix. They want in good condition car for nearly free..

This is a genuine review based on my own experience with CarTakeBack / Copart Direct UK. My vehicle was a Volkswagen Touran. The invoice/booking details include Lot/Reference Number 52629506 and Lead Number 2315220, dated 05/05/2026.
The agreed valuation before inspection was £855, but the overall experience left me feeling seriously misled. In my opinion, the online offer did not feel like a reliable final valuation. It felt more like a way to get me into the process, with the possibility of reducing the amount to 500 £ later once the customer is already engaged.
The most disappointing part was the pressure and the attitude. I did not feel treated like a valued customer. I felt like I was placed in a “take it or leave it” position, where the customer has very little room to question the process or challenge what is happening.
For a company advertising a simple car selling/scrapping service, I expected transparency, fairness, and clear communication. Instead, my experience felt stressful, unclear, and one-sided.
I also did not receive a Feefo review invitation, even though I am a genuine customer and have an invoice/reference number. In my opinion, customers should not have to chase a review link just to leave honest feedback.
My advice to anyone considering CarTakeBack is: do not rely on the initial offer alone, get everything confirmed in writing, keep proof of every message, and be prepared for the experience to be very different from what you may expect.
Based on my experience, I would not use them again and I would not recommend them.

The car was collected without bother and the instructions I received beforehand were very clear.
My only issue was that I believed that I had been given a guaranteed quote which made me turn down other offers, only for the company to offer a lower quote on the phone. Nevertheless, they did return to the previous offer after I questioned this choice.
