I purchased a Lexus NX 350h through CarVector to Cyprus— it was my first experience buying a vehicle from a Japanese auction, and everything went exceptionally well.
At first, I contacted several companies to explore the market. I reached out to both Mark and Victor at CarVector, and Mark was the first to respond. From that moment, we began working together closely. He calmly and clearly explained the entire process — how the auctions work, what potential costs to expect, how shipping and customs clearance are handled, and which details are important to pay attention to. This was especially valuable since it was my first time, and I wanted to understand each step with confidence.
Before placing a deposit or starting to bid, I wanted to verify everything. I requested CarVector’s trade license, and they provided it without hesitation. I also asked to speak with actual clients, and they connected me with several people who had previously imported vehicles to Cyprus. I spoke to a few of them directly and even met in person — this gave me complete confidence in the company.
After that, I placed a deposit and began participating in the auctions. Mark was always in touch, helping me monitor listings, explaining differences in trim levels and VIN numbers, and guiding me through the nuances of the bidding process. I was looking for a specific model in a certain color and configuration, so it took some time, but the support was steady and respectful — never pushy.
Eventually, we won the desired vehicle in late April, and the ship departed from Japan in May. I paid exactly the amount we had discussed beforehand — even slightly under the budget I initially set, which was a pleasant surprise. After that, Kristina took over the logistics and documentation process.
About a month after the auction win, factoring in Japanese holidays and weekends, Kristina prepared and sent me all the documents via DHL. I received them well in advance, long before the vehicle arrived, which gave me time to organize everything locally. I also received access to a tracking system, where I could follow the ship’s location via a mobile app — that made the wait much easier.
The car arrived in Cyprus in July — on my birthday, coincidentally, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The vehicle came in excellent condition, without scratches or damage. The jack was missing, as I had been informed in advance — a common situation with Japanese exports.

CarVector left an overwhelmingly positive impression — this is a team that works honestly, patiently, and respectfully with every client.
If you’re thinking about importing a car from Japan and want to feel confident at every stage, CarVector is a great choice. They’ll explain everything clearly, help you make informed decisions, and support you from the very beginning to the moment you receive your car. Special thanks to Mark for his professionalism and steady guidance, and to Kristina for her careful handling of logistics and documentation. I’m genuinely happy I chose this company.

Carvector helped me get my dream car from Japan to The Netherlands! It started with a thorough search on the auction with the help of Kosta to find a car that fitted my demands. The first few bids unfortunately were close calls but after some tries we finally won a bidding! Kosta sent me multiple listings every few days from which I could choose to bid on. He was very good at spotting problems or potential problems on auction sheets and probably saved me from buying a disaster. He was truly a massive help! From the moment I won the auction I came into contact with Christine who is the logistics manager at Carvector. Christine was very nice and helpful. The whole buying a car in Japan was really exciting but also very new for me so I had a lot of question but no matter the question, Christine answered all of them without any problem. She informed me every day about where the car was and when it would be loaded on a ship. She updated me with photos from the harbor and she even arranged for me to go look at the car (coincedentally I was in Japan at the time it was waiting to go on the ship). In the end it was a little too far away from where I was but it still showed the amount of effort she's willing to put in her customer, much appreciated!! During shipment I received all the necessary documents through DHL (export certificate, invoice etc) and the car arrived withtin 2 months in the Amsterdam harbor. Everything they promised they delivered and the whole contact with them went amazingly smooth and truly personal. I would like to thank the Carvector team and especially Kosta and Christine for all their help. Hopefully we meet again!

recently purchased a Toyota Estima through CARVECTOR JAPAN. I was impressed by the selection and detailed information provided. Tim Novak car sales manager, kosta salas bid manager and and Logistics Cristine Carvector Department were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, answering all my questions about the import process and the vehicle itself. The car arrived exactly as described, in excellent condition and with all the paperwork handled efficiently. I highly recommend CARVECTOR company for anyone looking to import a car from Japan. They made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.

From the day we started talking with Car Vector management, everything went on smoothly as planned right from creating time and meeting our needs…… the interaction was professional and got back to us in case of adjustments regardless of the time zone.
Everything fell in our equation as planned from when our car was purchased, cleared, shipped and delivered to the agency at the final destination. It was nice doing business and will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

The car arrived in excellent condition Mercedes Benz G500 – exactly as described, clean, no mold, really top-notch! Communication with Carvector was consistently fast and helpful. The only small downside was the payment process, which could be a bit smoother, but we’ve figured it out now.
The bid manager can be hard to reach at times, probably due to being very busy, but overall communication was great. Shipping from Japan does take a while (around 3 months), but that’s just the nature of the distance – not Carvector’s fault.
Overall, a very good experience. I’ll definitely use the service again!

The car is in good condition overall. The only disappointing part is that the integrated dashcam system (both front and rear) was stolen during transport

I brought the past 4 years a AMG CL55 and. CL500 with Carvector on auction. The communication was always good and quite fast on the spot, I want see external pictures to get a better impression from the car. Depent on the place of auction the expertise can be different that’s what I recognized therefore it’s better to request additional pictures. Carvector is flexible in kind of how to create the invoices and they also organized the transport. Here I must say that Christine from the Logistik department is a great help, she schedule the freight and I be got informed regulary where the vessel are during the freight process, all in all I can recommend Carvector as a trustful partner to buying Japanese cars on Auction !!

Everything, from bidding, to receiving the car was smooth. They are the best when it comes to communication. Each one of Carvector's staff understands their task, and they do it perfectly, while updating the customer regularly on each step.
I'd gladly do business with them again.

I sent 8,243,318 JPY to Carvector and they stopped responding to my WhatsApp messages and emails (and they paused the logistics for sending the car). The dont answer to my questions. They took the car I paid for and put it for auction to another auction house and then for sale without my knowledge or aprooval (found it through CarVX reoort). They didnt send me auction translation, wheels pictures and all the available pictures from the auction or inform me that the car i palced bid on was the one I cancelled my bid on previous week and that because nobody bid on it previous week the seller reduced its starting price by more than 1.5mln. The car was sold to me at 7.15mln by an ultra high bid from Kosta (2 mlns above the start price and with only 3 bids based on the report from Japanstat). Kosta wasted my time and money and now they dont reply to me or return my money. At the auction they put the car without informing me and after paying for it, I can see damages that didnt appear on the auction I bid on. The car was auctioned in the past as Graded 4.5 with these marks and on the auction I bid was Grade 5 without these marks (Kosta said probably they washed it and the W2 and A1 marks were washed). These marks appeared again later in the auction they put the car on behind my back after I paid for it.
I lost over a month waiting for non-USS auctions to be available to me (they were showing me only listings that from auction houses that dont publish their last bid price). I wanted to bid on non-USS auctions so I would be able to verify the last bid price but I couldnt find any for over a month (very weired). After many complaints they magically started showing. The last bid prices of the USS auctions were far from the past statistics (too far to seem real). When last bid was lower than my maximum bid (maybe he was not even bidding) the negotiated price was too far (very far from the statistics, about half millon JPY in many cases). I asked Kosta not to do any negotiations on my behalf because I could never verify that price (and he got angry and found opportunity for revenge by wasting my money). They dont return the money and they dont send the car. The car has damages not shown on the auction sheet and also damages on the tires that were available on the auction by Kosta didnt send me. I dont want a car with hidden from me damages. After the 0.847 mln they pushed me send over 6 more million JPY threatening me that they will charge me penalties when they didnt yet clarify what I would be charged finally. They pumped all the expenses and charge hidden expenses not appearing on their website. I contacted their German office and they responded that we are just partners refusing to take any responsibility. Also I find their reviews weired. I see someone from Cyprus that did 5 reviews in total on Trustpilot and 4 out of 5 reviews were for Carvector... Also its too many reviews from accounts with a single review (someone did trustpilot account to leave a single review only for Carvector?)
Following is my reply to your answer:
-------‐-----------------------------------
When judging a business you judge them on how they respond when something goes wrong. You disappeared, you blocked me on WhatsApp, and never came back to my emails to answer my questions.
Instead of loading the car from Kobe port (it was at USS Kobe inside the Kobe port) you selected to tranfer it over 600km to Yokohama to put it on auction behind my back without my knowledge or approval. Then you want to charge me for trasnfering it to Yokohama port when the Hoegh vessels coming to Cyprus pass from Yokohama and then from Kobe (it was no reason to be sent other that charging me). If I was not asking analytical invoice probaply you would just send it from Kobe like you said initially but when you stated the big transport fees that you couldnt justify you decided send it to Yokohama to justify the charge. Until now you never send an updated invoice and suspended my account so I cant see balance or my bidding history on your website (probably to block me from getting evidence). You pushed me to send 1 more million JPY without even sending me a final invoice that I asked over a month ago. You asked for a full payment of an unknown amount a few hour before the departure of the vessel (probably you just took the money and you will still not ship it). On the pictures I can see cut on the front driver side tyre and dimple on driver door and front bumber. On the auction there were pictures of the tires but you decided to hide them from me. On past auction sheet in November it was Graded 4.5 instead of 5 and the dimble on drivers door and front bumper were marked but they were missing from some reason from the Kobe auction and the car was upgraded to 5.
You may have many happy customers (many with single review and some leave multiple only for you) but i am not happy.

Everything started with big hopes and excitement to import a car from Japan. I found CarVector online, filled in their form, and shortly after, a guy named Dusty contacted me. At first, he seemed professional. That is, until the moment he received my €3,000 deposit. After that? Total nightmare.
Enter Kosta – allegedly some kind of sales manager, but honestly the most clueless, disconnected, and useless person I’ve ever had to deal with in any business. The man’s English is barely functional, his communication skills are non-existent, and he treated my time and money like absolute garbage. I literally had to wake up in the middle of the night in my time zone just to try and catch a response from him. Did he care? Nope. Silence – until I had to chase Dusty just to get Kosta to lift a finger. Pathetic.
My budget was €14,300 C&F for a Toyota C-HR to Ireland. Suddenly, without asking, Kosta tried to push that up to €16,000–€18,000. What kind of scam are they running? At that price, I could buy a better car locally in Ireland for €22,000–€24,000 with all the fees included!
I was bidding on more than 10 cars – all within my budget – and I could see that these cars were sold well below the limits I had set. Still, he didn’t bother to try winning a single one. Lazy and clearly only interested in pushing whatever garbage he wanted me to buy – probably the ones with the fattest profit margin for him and his boss.
After realizing the whole setup was shady and totally in their favor, I gave up and bought a car locally. Best decision ever. I told them I wanted my deposit back and filled in the required forms. Guess what? It took TWO MONTHS to get my €3,000 back. Two months. In 2025. Are we kidding here?
This company is a complete scam. Unprofessional staff, terrible communication, hidden costs, and a system that pretends to give you control while they manipulate everything for their own benefit. If I can convince even one person to avoid this joke of a company, my pain won’t be for nothing.
Avoid CarVector like the plague. Zero stars.
Extremely disappointed.

Meanwhile I have bought six Mercedes-Benz R230. The last three of them arrived in March 2025 in the port of Zeebrugge. Viktor was of great support during the purchasing process and seems to work 24/7 and Christine always kept me up to date of all the logistic process. So from the side of carvector clearly a 5 star experience.
In regards to the cars you rely on the available information, especially the auction sheet. Here I can tell that there are differences between the various auction places. Some are very precise while others are missing important information.- But this is the risk of buying a car unseen and also carvector has no influence on this.

I had a very good overall experience with CarVector team, they are quite responsive and helpful, I would recommend confirming the final cost before you make the acquisition. Myself in particular I had an issue with the car during the RORO shipment to Cyprus, but that is not under CarVector's control and could happen with any exporter, the car was forcefully opened which left dents above the door and also bended the door itself...
Except that, the RORO shipment insurance is absolutely useless, unless your car is completely lost or stolen during the transport, so I would recommend against it.
Thank you Ms Christina and Mr Victor from CarVector in particular for the collaboration and support during this process.

I bought a Toyota Prius plug in hybrid, it was nice, starting from Mr Kosta who helped much to find me the car I wanted and it was great and in a perfect condition when I received. Then Ms Christine who was more than helpful and helpful in everything, replying anytime, tracking the vessel and informing me step by step.
Both were very passion as it's my first time and very polite.
Thanks alot for both of them.
Great experience.
