Horrible customer service. Demanding we pay cash so they don’t get taxed on it, gave us a car with the entire right side scratched up, refused to refund us one extra day that we were not even in the country and charged us $400 for a small scratch. Didn’t help us with our bags and we had to call them to come pick us up. Overall they were very rude and unprofessional! Do NOT recommend!!!! Pay a little more and go with someone else. It’s worth it!!!!!!

I rented a car on 11 October 2022 from their branch in Skopje Macedonia. They took deposit from me as in every business.But afterwards the money was never returned to my account.When I talk to the company they do not provide any solution or help. While they used to look at my phone or e-mail 2 times before, now they don't even condescend to it!They told me that my deposit would be deposited immediately, but now it's been months and I still can't reach my deposit.I was not at all satisfied with this company and it made me suffer a lot. My money still has not arrived and this is very frustrating.

Worst company ever together with Priceline who does business with them . Scam extra charges nobody wants to return any money . Stay away

If you have babies or young children who require car seats DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
The quality/standard of car seats they were providing were disgusting! I was so upset and worried for my 12 month baby. The manager strugged his arrogant shoulders and walk away. I sobbed. There was to support myhead padding so my babys head was just sliding about.
It was filthy dirty, ripped with zero padding. Horrendous experience and disgusting people!
Do your research, pay more for a reputable company!

Had to wait 5 hours for our car. Great start.
They agreed to refund one days rental as comp.
It’s January now (no refund yet but we live in hope) and they continue to say that their banking is causing “problems”. I’m not sure if they think we are stupid.
We are going back to Athens this year and if these clowns were the only ones with a car, we’d walk instead.

I'd give 0 star if there is such a choice.
We recently visited Athens, a great trip ended with terrible experience at Carwiz rental return, our car was never damaged and in the same good shape as it was taken out. Service agent came out with a rag, walked through the car by wiping dust off and very purposely looked for 2 specific areas of the car: one on the door he said was some kind of paint scratch, the other was inside the door frame also as paint scratch (who, in their right mind would inspect inside the door frame!) After we protested, he checked with the manager and told us the scratch on the door was already recorded in their system (never mentioned that when we rent the car). But the inside door frame scratch he insisted it's our fault and would cost 236 Euro. They would not listen to us and we paid and left to catch our flight. We later filed insurance claim and was covered by our policy (bought at discovercars.com). What Carwiz did was clearly a SCAM!!! Please avoid them, pay a little bit more for bigger name car rentals and you can get the car at the airport, don't have to go offsite to save a few euro and end up have deal with these scammers!!!

There is a reason they are cheaper. They will con you into paying more later. So you better not bring back the car with even the tiniest of scratches (good luck it's Athens).
I got the car for 7 days with their premium insurance package. On the last day i noticed there was a scratch on the front left wing (the car was full of them before anyways). When I brought it back to my surprise they charged me an additional 230e for that. So my amazing Gran total for the week went to 500e. I could have rented a new car for that price.
To add to that, on the day of the pick up they were 30min late, and I had no contact from them.
They are in general pretty slow with everything so definitely not worth it.

In August 2022 I rented a car in Carwiz and my experience has been awful. Their treatment is extremely rude. I considerer that they are "legal swindler". I had a parking fine of 80 and they charged 200 more, as "traffic fine processing". Believe me ,It has been one of the most dreadful experience of my whole life ¡¡¡¡

I'd like to share a terrible car rental experience I went through with Carwiz. I don’t recommend you ever book with these company.

I rented a car in advance online and when I arrived at Carwiz to pick up the car, there were dozens of people waiting for about 3 hours without air conditioning or water.

When the customer service staff finally received me, the order was canceled automatically because I did not ‘show’ within 1 hr of the nominated pick up time. This very critical information is hidden very well in the long and tedious policy, not stated evidently.

In my instance I arrived well on time, but unfortunately the queue in front of me did not allow me to meet a representative ‘on time’ and so my car was cancelled. Something completely out of my control and in fact due to not enough staff members to service their customers.

The staff were incredibly unhelpful.
I have not received a full refund, nor have either companies been supportive with my case.

All in all this was an incredibly disappointing experience, costing me a lot of time, energy and money. I have never in my dozens of car rentals experienced this. I would not recommend using this company at all.

Absurd extra charges for things like using a ferry (we were fully insured), second driver (we had a minivan, duh),…. The car is scratched up completely, after some driving we noticed cooling fluid below minimum, problem with lights,…. Personnel was friendly but these are aggressive and doubtful policies.

Personnel was good, but my whole experience was TERRIBLE. On car delivery, the fuel tank was not full (my reservation was full to full). On car return, they didn't provide me a proof that I returned the car in the state I picked it up, they held my 1,100 euros guarantee for a MONTH and I had to contact them 3-4 times in various ways to get it back. Never again!

First- lady at office told us this is brand new car, no scratches.
Car was dirty and parked in the shadow. I spoted few scratches and told this lady to write it down.
She did , but she put wrong place.
Secend- She put that is full , but was only half.
Before I gave back this car, I have clened it so they did not charge my for returning car dirty.
When I wanted to return , they wanted to charge my for petrol.
But I showed them pictures that when I picked it was only half.
But they charged my 350€ for scratch I did not make. I told him that this lady put wrong place , but hi did not care. He said , don't worry I have full insurance . Insurance will pay you back.
I thnik that is the way they do extra money.
But still if you want to use this company , take full insurance , make sure car is clean and you take a lot of pictures and write down in papers every single even the thinist scratch.
But I would recomend different company just to avoid stress and waste of time.

We rented a car from Carwiz (Fort Lauderdale Airport) in June 2022 for a week. We had to wait more than half out outside for pickup where as all other rental company cars come and go every 5 minute. The office of the company is in a remote location and we had to pay more than USD200 for insurance because they don't accept insurance from our Canadian provider. We rented car from other rental companies in FL before so think we were ripped off by this company. We booked through Rent A Car, so we couldn't cancel and go to a different rental company. Returning the car was more time consuming, if your flight is leaving soon you will be in trouble. Don't recommend this company to anyone.

Arrived a little late on 25 .6.22 at Rhodes airport. The baggage was delayed and we couldn’t find the car rental office. Directed by airport staff in the wrong direction.
Anyway as we were over an hour late the lady advised that our booking was cancelled and no longer on the system
She did not care that we were stuck late at night with no car to collect. Told us that the deposit was commission by the company Car Wise and nothing to do with Car wiz

Scam. I hired a car in Greece at Diagoras Airport Rhodes with a specific 'full to full' petrol clause. This is the only reason that I chose this company as it stated that this would be adhered to. I got to Greece and received a car with very little fuel in it (barely enough to get us to the hotel). I accidentally over filled it (how do I know what 3/8 of a tank of fuel is on a car that I don't own??) therefore making me out of pocket despite paying for a specific service. The Greek company CarWizz weren't interested and nor were Auto Europe who tried playing the 'we are only the agent, you need to speak to CarWizz' scam angle. Terrible car (had been in an accident, door didn't close properly and panels all misaligned at the front) and appalling customer service from both AutoEurope and CarWizz who were evasive and disinterested once they had my money. Misrepresentation in their advert and breach of contract in actuality. Trading Standards in the UK notified. This company are cheap but that is reflected in the quality of car and the lack of service / adherence to contractual points. I would have given 0 stars but couldn't. Do yourselves a real favour and avoid. Rhodes is a great place to holiday with mainly wonderful Greek people - don't ruin your experience by booking with this company.

We rented with Carwiz at the airport in Athen for 8 days end of May. We got a C3 with 24000 km in a very good condition.
As I often rent cars I‘m aware about all the pitfalls.

- Creditcard instead Debitcard with a credit limit that is high enough
- Alert the agency if your flight has a delay
- Film the car when it‘s handed out and take some photos.
- I normally take a full insurance with rentalcover (a third party provider) as it‘s cheaper as if booked directly with the rental company
- Return the car on time or before.

Perfect service from a young man when we gave the car back at Carwiz. He drove us to Koropi, as the train to Athen city is only 1.20 Euros from there whereas it‘s 10 Euro from the airport.

Service can’t be better and I have the impression that many people with a bad experience are not experienced rental car users.

We went to crete, Chania Airport in April and had pre-booked a car through Norwegian system. It was Carwiz.
I have used carwiz once before ( sep 2021 ) so I felt confident when we picked up the car. The guy apologised that car was dusty. Blaimed rain during the night with dust from "sahara sandstorms". It seemed legit, many locations around the Mediterranean had this in April.
The car, an Opel Astra from 2019 was full of scratches on all sides, scratched rims and so on. The steering wheel was very worn for such "new" car. The tank was not full, only three quarters. The guy said it shall be returned with same level of fuel.
We went around filling up the form with marks of the scratches, took some photos, and went off using the car for day to day transport around Chania area. About 700km in a week.
When returning the car I was still confident since we had no issues. I filled fuel right before ( more than we got in the first place ). New guy checked the car inside out and suddenly looked concerned. He "found" a new scratch amongst all the hundreds of scratches of the dented Opel. I didn´t have a photo of this spot so it was a debate I had to give up since our flight was approaching.
400 Eur they charged me. Obviosly this is their business idea. Total scam.
If you really want to rent their car, you have to demand it is 100% clean and you have to photo / video every inch of that car.
If you arrive after sunset you will have no chance to avoid this.

Very bad experience, the person at our arrival was impolite and mysoginistic and rude. One day, the car stopped working, the battery was full and they claimed that we needed roadcar assistance and made us pay 150 EUROs additional. When they came, the car started functioning again. We are pretty sure that it was a scam and that they immobilised the car to make us pay more. No answer from customer support on our claims to be refunded of course....
