We stayed at Casa Lua for 15 nights and genuinely couldn’t recommend it enough. It is such a special place, made even more special by the incredible hosts Christel & Martin without a doubt, the best hosts we have ever come across.

From before we arrived, they went above and beyond. They recommended so many places to visit and things to do, helped us arrange trips and activities, had shopping waiting for us when we arrived and even lent us a pram when we needed one. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They were always on hand if we needed anything, without ever being intrusive.

The villa itself is absolutely beautiful and was spotlessly clean on arrival. There is so much space, both inside and out, and despite being a large group staying for over two weeks, we never felt on top of each other. The property is incredibly private and peaceful, yet somehow never feels isolated or secluded.

We honestly never got bored. There is so much to explore in and around Galera, Castril, Huescar and the hosts’ local knowledge meant we experienced places and activities we probably would never have discovered ourselves.

We also had chefs come to the villa during our stay, which was amazing and made a brilliant holiday even more memorable.

The housekeepers were great too!

Casa Lua is one of those places that is difficult to sum up in a review. The house and surroundings are beautiful, but it was the thought, care and hospitality from the hosts that really made our stay. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having the best possible experience.

After 15 nights, it really did feel like our little Spanish home and we were genuinely sad to leave.

A very special villa, in a very special part of Spain, with truly exceptional hosts. We would return in a heartbeat. ❤️🇪🇸

If I could give Casa Lua more than five stars, I absolutely would.

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday here with a group of 18, and it exceeded every expectation. The setting is simply breathtaking—completely secluded and private, with spectacular mountain views, yet only minutes from the charming village of Galera.

The property is beautifully designed, perfectly accessible, and offers every modern luxury imaginable. The naturally temperature-controlled cave rooms are unlike anywhere we've ever stayed—peaceful, beautifully appointed, and with some of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. The upper suite is equally stunning.

There was more than enough space for our entire group, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating for over 20 adults. We even watched Spain win the World Cup together on the two large TVs—a memory we'll never forget! The extensive indoor spa and outdoor pool were the perfect places to relax between celebrations.

Our hosts, Cristel and Martin, were exceptional. They arranged private chefs, wine tasting, an unforgettable flamenco performance, and massages, all seamlessly organised with incredible attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble.

Casa Lua is a truly special place where luxury, comfort and authentic Spanish charm come together perfectly. We're already talking about returning in the winter to experience the caves in another season.

A truly exceptional experience! Casa Lua has it all, and even more, for an amazing luxury get-away break. From the elegant design of the house and the outside areas to the incredibly comfortable beds in the cave bedrooms and the relaxing spa room and outdoor hot tub, no detail has been spared. Our group also booked a range of high-end services through the owners such as a flamenco show, top quality catering and professional massage during our stay. Thanks to the very hospitable owners, Cristel and Martin, for an unforgettable few days with friends in Casa Lua!

We had a fantastic experience with Casa Lua, not only as our wedding venue but also with the hosts as our wedding planners. From the very beginning, they took so much stress off our shoulders. They handled a great deal of the planning and helped us coordinate with all the people involved in our wedding, including caterers, the baker, the photographer, and the florists. Without their dedication and support, our wedding weekend would never have been such a tremendous success.
Throughout the entire weekend, the villa truly felt like home—not only for us but for all of our guests as well. The atmosphere, the stunning location, and the personal attention made everything feel incredibly special. The aftercare and thoughtfulness shown by Martijn and Cristel were also so heartwarming and demonstrated just how much they care about their guests.
Casa Lua, its breathtaking surroundings, and the charming village of Galera transformed our wedding weekend into a dream we will never forget. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue and its amazing team!

We have stayed the whole family, 20 people, in this spectacular house in Galera, we have all loved it, young and old because its creators have thought of every detail with special attention.- Both the rooms, spacious, with private bathroom, as well as the common areas, the jacuzzi, the saunas ... are very comfortable.-The children have enjoyed it enormously because they have thought of everything, even the games and toys.

The exterior is super luxurious, and allows overwhelming views of the Geopark landscape, of extraordinary beauty.-

The hosts make you feel at home from the first minute, they are attentive and willing to help you at any time, they have not stopped being aware of us so that nothing is missing; kindness is their norm.

It is absolutely recommended a 10 is short.

Since Martin asked me for some improvement, my children suggest that a small gym would not be bad.

For the rest, the cleanliness and equipment of the house is impeccable.

Villa Lua was just the perfect location for our holiday. The house is tastefully decorated and the surrounding scenery is spectacular. Martin and Christel’s relaxed nature made everyone feel at home. They really went above and beyond to cater for us organising meals, yoga and airport transfers Thank you again!

Casa Lua is an absolutely stunning villa in a truly beautiful location. Christel & Martin really went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible, helping us with airport transfers, catered dinners and a number of other services. The Villa itself has so much to offer, all the spa treatments options are fantastic, the kitchen is great for catering to large groups and the cave bedrooms built into the hillside are cosy and cool in the hot summer months. If you’re looking for a memorable experience for a large group in an idyllic location, then look no further than Casa Lua!

Swimming pools, bedrooms in caves, multiple saunas and very friendly hosts. What's not to love!

Amazing experience. The attention to detail, little features of the house and help with our stay was perfect 👏

Our stay included 17 people and we had additional services from the hosts such as airport transfer, yoga one of the mornings, 2 catered dinners, and loads of home grown veg was left for us to use, the hosts put in alot of effort and were very hard working, welcoming and understanding of any of our needs. I have stayed at alot of these big group houses but nothing has come close to how well thought out, luxurious and comfortable Casa Lua was 💖 I think we will be coming back.

Our 20 strong walking group spent a fantastic 4 days at Casa Lua.
The spa facilities went down a treat after a full days walking and the food, both breakfast and evening meals were excellent.
The icing on the cake though are the owners. Martyn was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

This beautiful, luxurious accommodation is set in the most stunning of surroundings with views of the pretty village of Galera and mountain views surrounding it.

The spa area, swimming pools and jacuzzi are wonderful and there are outdoor and indoor sunbeds, shaded and sunny seating areas and a large barbeque, so something for everyone.

The hosts Cristel and Martyn were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive, friendly and professional.
