Sent phone away, got the usual lower offer nonsense that every one seems to get. Phone is barely a year old, due to getting new handset halfway through contract. Rejected offer 9 days ago, phoned 2 days ago and was told phone would be with me by the next day. Also e-mailed them 3 times without reply, who writes their barcode down for future reference!

Still no phone back btw..........

Phoned twice the past two days and was assured someone would phone back. No calls returned. If this is not resolved I will also be seeking legal advice, I am prepared to take this as far as I can (It helps having friends with law degrees specialising in contract law).!!!

Plus they have tried to get this removed, still no phone or payment back, asked for a BACS a week ago (25th?)....still nothing!

Also claimed excessive wear & tear (a common theme) but could not provide evidence or detail any further on this

I was offered £40 on the website for my phone which was in good working condition. Once I sent it off I had an email saying that due to 'excessive scratching' they would only offer my £12. It most definitely did not have excessive scratching, so I complained and asked for it back, then they asked me to pay a £8.95 return postage fee. There was no clear mention on their website that the offer may change. These are con artists.

I was quoted £130 for my phone which was in perfect condition when i sent it to you. It had a protective cover which i sent it in, and i polished the screen,which had no scratches on whatsoever.

I received an email from you offering me £42 as the screen was severely scratched, same line you use a lot. I have not received my phone back, as your company have refused to return it to me until i pay a £8.00 fee, which i have no intentions of paying.

I have left messages on your contact page, but nobody has got back to me. I will be going to a solicitors tomorrow.

I have tried getting through on the phone, had no joy, and you have not answered any of my messages on your contact page.

Used a comparison site that showed this company were offering the most cash for my iphone. Dont let this fool you! My phone had always been in a case and only had a tiny scuff on one edge. When the received it they knocked £30 off the offer for moderate wear and tear. Then they would charge you money to have your phone sent back! They received my handset on 09/08/13, showed on the website that they paid me on 18/08/13 but the money never appeared in my account. I received my payment into my bank account 19/09/13!!! Over a month later! What happened to faster payments? And whenever I emailed I was told I had to wait 14 working days before I could query it!! Then they told me they had system problems. No offer of compensation. Absolutely shocking will never use again.

I had not used this company before, but found them on the internet.
The easy to use website quickly gave me a value for my old phone.
The bag to return my phone was with me the next day. The return was simple; an e-mail then arrived to say my phone had been tested and was ok.
The money was in my account within 4 days of receipt of the e-mail.
An excellent service.

very slow in processing the order. even slower at responding to customer's query. Query posted 8 days ago. No reply yet. Not impressed.

Went on the website that stated a £132 price for my iPhone4 which was the best price at the time so decided to go with Cash4phones. When I got my assessment they offered me a value lower than any of their competitors, I decided to reject the offer and get my phone back, but the reject button on the link they provide does not work! I had to email and use their contact us form, after which they offered me the full value. My wife had exactly the same experience about a year ago. On balance I would rather had got £10 less and had the no hassle quick payment from one of the other comanies of this ilk. I would not use again.

NEED TO DEAL WITH YOUR PARCEL AND PAYMENT A BIT QUICKER

I sent my iPhone4 to them on 16/8/13, valued at £130. They immediately said there was 'excessive wear and tear' and offered. £52. The phone was in absolutely fine condition.

It was a ridiculously low offer, but as they incredibly cheekily wanted £9 to post it back, I accepted what I thought would be hassle free cash. If you've got that far DO NOT ACCEPT. From since reading other reviews they apparently always to this, then will offer a more reasonable price if you ask for it sent back.

It's 18/9 now, and I'm still awaiting payment. I'm being given the utterly unbelievable excuse that 'our payment systems are down' and I'll get paid on the 27/9. So I assume all the cash4phones staff are also not getting paid as they can't make a BACS payment? I doubt it.

I've demanded my phone back, but am being fobbed of so am making a small claim, as I doubt I will get my money.

To make the situation even more irritating, in what appears to be a block to free communication to their customer service department, you cant respond to their emails. Each time they fob you off and you want to respond, you have to fill out another 'contact us' form from their website. Incredibly irritating.

I've seen a number of reviewers calling them crooks, and I'm inclined to agree.

Did exactly what the web site said it would...Sent envelope, posted envelope, acknowledged receipt, advised payment was sent then payment received. Couldn't have wished for more...thanks

Overall the system was good but the standard of payment service leaves a lot to be desired. These days bank payments are instant and why it should take a week to receive payment is beyond me.

The minute I went online to check out how to sell my phone, cash4phones came up with the best price, the form was easy to fill out, the envelope arrived in 2 days after me filling out the form online, then it was only days that I was pleasantly surprised with my quote and money that went into my bank... The whole process from beginning to end was Fantastic... Fast and keeping you up to date with the whole process.... One very happy customer... ;-)

C4P offered the best price for my Nokia Lumia 800 (£63) when I compared online, so decided to go with them. After sending it in, I started reading all these horror story reviews about the company and their customer service (or lack thereof). I sent it recorded delivery on the 6th Sept and was received by them on 9th Sept, it was processed and then shown as paid on 14th Sept. The money (as quoted) was in my account 18th Sept. I don't know if I was just lucky to have received the right amount and within time or if C4P have improved their customer service, either way, I am happy.

I did manage to receive the full amount quoted in the end, but after I had explained that I had recorded the mobile phone conversation before sending off.

HAPPY TO HAVE RECIEVED PAYMENT FOR MY PHONE, AND HAPPY TO HAVE RECIEVED £40 MORE THAN ORIGINALLY OFFERED.
WOULD HAVE RATED 5 STARS BUT FOR SLIGHT DELAY IN RECIEVING PAYMENT. WOULD HOWEVER USE CASH 4 PHONES AGAIN.

Efficient service. No issues from filling in the form to the money being in my account. Emails keeping me up to date on the progress. I was offered what was stated on the website. I was dubious as a first time user but would recommend to anyone. Prices paid are extremely competitive! Thank you very much Cash 4 Phones

Very pleased with the service. Unfortunately my grandson filled in all the information and filled in my name as Betty (as I am known as this) but my official name is ELIZABETH ANNE BENTLEY. Our fault I realise!

I sent an old iPhone in that was in perfect condition, on inspection they found " excessive scratching on the screen" and re-offered me £20.65 from the original £59.00 and i had 5 days to accept or reject this offer and if i didnt they would just send me the £20.65.Now I knew that there was not a single scratch on the screen so I complained about this revised offer . I found a number online for cash 4 phones but they do not answer the phone. Ever, automated voicemail all the time that is really frustrating, after my complaint, fair play to them they did re-check the phone and eventually sent me a cheque for £59.00, which I was happy about but if I did not complain they would off just been happy to scam me and say my phone was damaged when it wasn't, I would not use cash 4 phones again due to this and there are better company's to deal with than this crowd.
