rip off gits
I am owed money for 2 phones which I up graded last summer. 2 HTC phones and was told I would get £69.40.
But I never got a penny. It's a shame all of us who were ripped off can't track these ars×holes down and do something about it. If they are not paying us they should at least send phones back. They can be traced by imei numbers. I am gutted I am sick and unable to work for sometime now due to heart and kidney problems, I needed that money.
Never ever ever again !!!!
Same as you guys, had the 'excessive scratching' report, eventually after an eternity settled on £145.00. Been waiting for payment for 2 months and still nothing. I have a confirmation email from them to say they have recycled my handset and payment is 'on the way' but nothing! It's theft, pure and simple . I will never stop trying to get my money because if we stop, then they have won! This was a company handset too on a company tarrif so we have Vodafone going after them.
Con artists, ripped me off
I posted my mobile phone off at the end of October, and was excited to be receiving the values '£90' for my handset. After a good 5 or 6 days had passed and no communication had come from the company or a bank transfer made I checked the website, to find the had decided the handset had 'excessive scratching to screen' - which isn't correct at all. If anything the dent to the top left corner is more factual but they had reduced my valuation to £31. However I accepted the reduced valuation anyway. I tried to contact the company via the email service where I require the barcode that came in my recycling pack ... Which was attached to the slip that went in the post with the handset? So how does that work? There are no other ways to contact the company for me to even demand I have my handset back!! Absolutely diabolical service. DO NOT USE.
Don't think il ever get my money!!!!!
I sent my phone to them beginning of October.....I phone 4 8g, they had said £114 but after assessing it offered £47 due to "excessive wear and tear" which I knew was not right. So I rejected offer then a 'piers' wrote to me to say they had re assessed and they would offer £87.00 which I accepted & as I had paid £8.95. For the phone to be returned they said I'd get this back too.
On 25th October they said they were paying the money but to wait up to 10 working days ...... No money
Since the 8th November I have written about 6 times- no response
I sent an email yesterday after finding these reviews and I got a mail failure email...... So have they gone bust??? Changed their email??? Has anyone found a contact number for them?? Anyone had a response? How can we get our money!!!!
Never got paid
Similar experience to other reviewers. Sent 2 perfect phones in expecting over £50 based on website details. Was actually offered £32.40 due to 'excessive wear and tear' but decided to accept it anyway. but then I never got paid - sent numerous emails and used the comments section on the website to complain. Initially I got standard email saying wait up to 14 working days (even though a bank payment never takes longer than 3 days), and after that got no responses at all. Found a phone number but it was never answered - just a recorded 'you are in a queue' message - held on for over 30 minutes on several occasions, still no answer. I wrote to them (you can find their address in the Terms and Conditions section of the website) last week setting out the facts and explaining that I would start a small claims court action next week. It s not actually the money, its the principle - so I shall go ahead and do it if they dont pay up, although I dont have that much faith in our legal system to actually get me paid either. Have complained to Watchdog and am going to contact Trading Standards. Clearly this is a rogue company and should not be allowed to trade.
ROBBERS - stolen my mobile phone
Please don't use this company, they have stolen my mobile phone. I was told I would be paid a much lower price than originally agreed for my iPhone and told I would receive payment within 48 hours, that was 17 days ago and I can't get in touch with this ridiculous company. They don't respond to emails or answer the phone. Do not use!!!!!
What a rip off
I really wished I had seen these reviews before, I sent my phone off a week ago via recorded delivery to ensure it got there. I have heard nothing from them despite checking on parcel tracker and seeing that my phone arrived with them 2 days after I posted it and was signed for by 'Tony'. I have messaged them twice using the facility on there website again nothing! surprise surprise there is no phone number for them on their website but I found one online and its just a continuous message that's played.
I am soooo angry they were quick enough to send me my pack! The option to track your phone via there website is a load of rubbish and doesn't work...for the last 5 days the status is pack sent to customer. I have already reported them to watchdog and will be taking a action via a small claims court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM AND A RIP OFF!
VISIT THERE PERSONALLY TO GET YOUR MONEY.
Visited them personally at 15 GATEWAY MEWS today and I was promised that the money will be in my Account by the end of the day. In fact an email confirmation was sent to me while I was there. And here it is, I got the money in my account now. Feel sorry for people who wont be able to visit there personally as it seems that this is the only way you can get your money from them.
Bandits!!!
Wish I'd had the savvy to read their reviews first because I've been caught out. Sent off a fully working and in good condition Blakberry Torch 9860 and was originally offered £80 only to be given a revised offer of £28.25 due to 'excessive scratching on screen' which 1. Wasn't stipulated as being grounds for a revised offer and 2. Simply not true!!! I naively accepted this offer and then got told payment could take 10 odd days which of course has never materialised. My account status states that I've been paid though which simply isn't the case and I've found contacting them impossible due to not having the pack barcode number(who would save that) anymore and there not being a phone number. The only email address I can find is a sales email which they ask you not to contact(convenient) and actually isn't valid(shock) because I've tried it. I'd write but judging by other reviews this would be a waste of trees and I already feel ripped off enough without being environmental unfriendly!!! It all seems geared up to make it near on impossible to contact them so will settle for dragging their name through the gutter and making sure anyone I know doesn't get found out like me!!!
Cash4phones are thieves
Foolishly I trusted the Compare and Recycle comparison site when they included cash4phones in their results, I sent off my wife's Samsung Tocco lite, was quoted £13 and as nothing wrong with it expected the full amount, about a week after sending it I got an email "due to excessive wear and tear blah we are now offering £3.66" I didn't agree but as only a cheap phone I agreed as didn't want to pay £9 to get it back.
Then on 27th September 2013 they 'Processed payment' it's never reached my account and they either ignore my emails or blame technical problems.
A lady I work with had same issues too, phone perfect (screen protector on since new) but excessive wear and tear for her too and 4 month wait for reduced payment.
Utter thieves, don't use these cowboys.
Just don't. .....
I sent my phones with an offer of 120 each, got a reply saying they would only give 48 each, I did not accept and got counter offer of 100 each which I accepted to end the matter. That was 15th September. I have been fobbed off with 'extreme technical difficulties' but gave them plenty of chances and have now reported them to action fraud, watchdog and taken county court action. I have had no response to this so will be taking it further. Even though they changed the registered office address the day before my court summons was deemed issued. They will probably report this post but if you read it dont believe any of the positive ones they are blatantly made up by c4p
Absolutely diabolical
I sent my phone to them in September and got an email saying I would receive £94.40 within the next few days. It is now November 9th and despite emailing, writing to them and phoning them, (with no success getting through) I am still getting nowhere. I am now contacting Citizens Advice about them as this is ridiculous. The worst company I have ever dealt with, they are just awful. Can't think of enough bad things to say about them. DON'T USE THEM!!!!!!
Untrustworthy and the worst customer service I have ever had!!
So basically, Cash4Phones have 2 of my phones and I have no money for them. The money they offer is then way below what they want to really give you. I had a BB9790 that they said it had excessive scratching on the phone screen and were trying to knock me down to £24 from an original quote of £72. Luckily I had taken photos of the phone and there was no excessive scratching at all, it had a screen protector on it for time we had it. I've took other people's advice and gone to my lawyer, I've also wrote to Watchdog and my local newspaper as in my eyes it is theft, they have 2 of MY phones and I have nothing to show for it, they never return emails and never answer the phone, so disappointed, total scam!!
TERRIBLE SERVICE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I sent my phone to after I was quoted a fair price. When they received it they came back with another offer £100 less saying that the phone had considerable wear and tear, which was total rubbish. I paid for the phone to be sent back to me. They then came back with a better offer although not the original price. I did accept the second offer as I wanted to get it sold. I was told I would receive my money within 72hours. 10 days later nothing. No reply to emails, cant get through on the phone. I will now put in a claim through the small claims court. They will not get away with this. I have also been in contact with Watchdog as they featured them on their programme last week. Sadly, after I had sent my phone in
Absolute scam artists!
I've not heard anything back at all since sending off my phone at the end of October (Royal Mail even confirmed delivery on the 28th), not even a sniff! I've got no other details as they were all on the slip that needed to be send with the phone so I've got no "barcode" which is needed to contact them via their website (the only way to contact the company). My account has magically disappeared so I can't track my order either. That's a very much needed £175 down the drain that I'll never see all because someone thinks its right to scam innocent people.
I sincerely hope that someone shuts this company down and I can only hope that all of the innocent people affected by them are paid the money that they are owed (doubt it will ever happen though). I will NEVER go near this company again and intend to let everyone I know how much of a scam they are. It's about time someone did something about this.
SCAM ARTISTS
I sent my phone to C4P in September when I upgraded my Blackberry Bold to an iPhone 5c. The phone was in very good condition and had very minimal wear and tear (normal for a 2 year old phone). The original offer I had was £110 and when they received my phone they said it was damaged and revised their offer to £40. I declined and then saw it was £9 to return my phone so to save hassle I accepted the offer. They claim to have sent the payment and told me to wait 3-5 working days, when it was still not received I emailed them again and they said 7-10 working days. It has now been over 30 working days and I am getting no response from them at all.
I am at a loss as to what to do!
Legalised Theft
Im still wating on my payment from C4P and this has been since the end of September,
Have never been able to get through on the phone and any emails they do reply to they say they are having technical issue and the payment will be with me soon,
Its a shame as I used them at the beggining of 2012 and had no issues
UPDATE 15/11/13 NOW HAVE SMALL CLAIMS PAPERS BEING SERVED
scam artists. want my money or my phone back.
My partner sent off two phones at the beginning of October. Firstly they reported the first phone was damaged (perfect condition) so were going to only pay £20 for the phone which was quoted as £50. Called them a few days later and managed to agree the original price as first stated as they couldn't prove any damage. Well that was over two weeks ago, still no payment (even though it was supposed to be paid on 18th October) after several emails sent and guess what we've spent thirty minutes on hold awaiting someone to answer to no avail. Clearly a scam and a con do not use at any cost
Terrible - stay away at all costs
I traded in an iphone 4 - which incidentally was only two months old. Like almost everyone else who has reviewed on here, payment was reduced due to "wear and tear". I eventually agreed the sum of £115 for my phone. Payment was allegedly processed on 25/10/13 - today, at the point of writing, still no payment received. it does not take 12 days to process and make a bank payment. This company are an absolute rip off. I will be taking a Small Claims Action against them.
Company steals phone
After sending my near perfect handset off to cash4phones.co.uk, they replied with failed handset! I did think this was a load of rubbish, but they already had the handset and it would cost me to get it back. Being close to Xmas and needing the money I agreed and arranged for a money transfer, which has still not happened. I left it til after the specified time length and then contacted them, to no avail! They have left me so angry and upset that I let myself get ripped off and definitely knocks confidence when dealing with the internet
