Simple process and way better offer than anyone else I called!

After info was completed about my vehicle on the website I was promptly contacted, asked for a few more questions, sent a few pictures, then an offer was made and accepted, a few pictures of title and transaction was done in less than an hour. Vehicle picked up at my location next day.

They insisted I take dozens of pictures, then offered less than scrap iron. They did not offer their location, but since Im in Dayton, and there is not one there, I assumed its Columbus or Cincinatti.

Unfortunately, I had issues with this company at nearly every turn.

PRIOR to pick-up there were issues with communication over what paperwork was needed in order for me to relinquish my vehicle to them.

I was unable to be at the bodyshop the day they came to pick-up my vehicle due to the fact that I live 3hrs away and was unable to get off work for a full 24 hour window to go wait 3 hours away from home all day without a specific pick-up time; they were kind enough to arrange for me to be able to relinquish the vehicle without me being present. I made sure that the signed title and ALL proper documents were waiting at the body shop for the driver to pick up my vehicle. I confirmed this with CashForCars as well as with the body shop.

On 09/05/24 my vehicle was picked up from the body shop, I called both the body shop and driver after the vehicle was picked up to confirm that things went smoothly and that everything that was needed for the transaction has indeed been picked up and taken with the vehicle. Both parties confirmed that the vehicle, keys, title and ALL proper documents that I have provided were picked up that day.

I was not made aware until 09/10/24 that CashForCash seemingly did not have the proper paperwork (that I provided) and still had not processed my check. They had possession of my vehicle, keys and title for 6 days at this point, 4 business days.

Upon finding this out I was incredibly confused and concerned. I explained to CashForCars how thorough I had been in this process due especially to my not being able to be present for the car pick-up. They insisted this was my error and not theirs and requested that I submit the correct papers again.
I did, and it still took them nearly 36 hours to communicate with me and make this right.

In the end, it was deemed that I had submitted the proper documents and they should have gone out with the vehicle on the day of pick up (09/05).

Everyone I spoke to at this company, whether on the phone, via text message or over e-mail, gave me different information, different policies and different requirements for what was needed throughout this process. I did my best to comply, and at every turn felt like I ran into a wall again and again. Ultimately I did receive the check for my car but I absolutely will never be doing business with them again or referring anyone that I know to their services.

The women at the local COPART in Customer Service and dispatch were wonderful and helpful. So was the tow driver.

However, Cash for Cars did not include a street address which caused the vehicle to be picked up one day late.

Also, Cash for Cars kept repeatedly contacting us via calls, voicemails & texts after the accepted offer. This came from many different phone numbers and people. This was just disconcerting and very overwhelming. They wasted a lot of our time.

Excellent and fast service, very pleased with the entire process. They came with a check and picked up my car within 48hrs of my submission!!! Would highly recommend especially with a broken down auto.

Pretty flawless experience/transaction. I was surprised.
