This review is based on my experience…
This review is based on my experience of two "services" from Cash for Invoices LTD - the "fixed fee" cash for an invoice and a loan of £3,000. I'd like to offer you a stern warning if you are considering it. Please don't. There are so many other services available to you and the stress and the toxicity that you would experience dealing with this business is not worth it.
Basic timeline:
- Jan 2018: Cash for Invoices LTD loaned £3,000 to be repaid in March 2018. "Fixed fee of £600".
- May 2018: Cash for Invoices LTD granted CCJ of £3,732.22.
- July 2018: My company paid Cash for Invoices LTD approx. £3,356 in total by July 2018.
- December 2018: Cash for Invoices LTD allegedly instructed bailiffs to our premises. Goods removed from shop.
- April 2019: Cash for Invoices instructed High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOS).
- April 2020: HCEOS requested £900.68 to settle the matter. Payment made. They closed the case. The following week, the County Court marked the matter settled.
- January 2021: Cash for Invoices LTD is now requesting £500+ in costs (including Court fees already included in original award, travel costs to an from Court & photocopying charges) from High Court.
The problem with this company is that it is not solvent enough to offer this type of service and I presume is uninsured. This causes the owner to - if you choose to assign invoices to him - chase your clients using such desperation and urgency that is toxic to your existing commercial relationships. No invoice is too small eg. He repeatedly hounded a customer - a hardworking nurse - for payment of a £300 invoice and it wasn't yet due. A business owner in this industry also needs to have really sound communication skills in order not to alienate the customers that he is collecting from, but unfortunately this business owner lacks those as well. In his own words, one of our clients was "irate" after a five minute conversation with him. Having used banks and invoice finance companies in the past, this is unheard of.
You would be taking a dangerous risk by exposing your customers and contacts to this business. I sincerely hope for your sake that you do not take the chance. Furthermore, he seems to think that his behaviour is absolved by the fact that he had a County Court Judgement against me personally because I provided a personal guarantee for the £3,000. That's true and he obtained it by claiming that he hadn't been paid even after he had been. In sum, I learned the hard way to properly vet lenders like this. At the time I contacted him, his business had no reviews and I was convinced by his faux-politeness - to the point where I sent him misguided positive feedback (A Recruitment Firm in London) that he's since manipulated for use on his website.
I sincerely hope that if you're considering it, you don't make the same mistake that I did and that you choose a proper funding channel.
In sum, I borrowed £3,000 and repaid approx. £3,350 within 4 months. Paid a further approx. £900.68. Total approx. £4,250.68.
He's now hassling the court for an additional approx. £500 for fees including photocopying, train travel and other fabricated expenses. Do yourself a favour and stay away.
Update: Read for yourself the replies of this "lender" and his definitions of a "bad debt" despite the fact that he has been paid more than the amount originally agreed. He was paid more because the payment was late. Further, the reason that I have left warnings on other review websites is because this "lender" is unregulated and, therefore, dangerous to the credit of the unsuspecting. To anyone reading the review, his reply is a preview of the kind of "person" you're dealing with. I urge you not to find out the hard way.
