Absolute scam

Absolute scam! We were constantly rescheduled on, no one ever came, we were told $1000 for our car and then a guy showed up when someone was supposed to come tow it and instead took pictures so they could give us a quote. Mike, if that is even his name, started screening my calls and would hang up when he heard my voice. Do not waste your time with this company

Lowballed way too much. Scammy.

Offered me 800 to drive my car to them, 500-600 for free pickup. I went to drive my car to them and they offered me 100-200, I said no as I was told 800. “Mike” eventually brought it up to 400 to which I still said no as I was told 800. Ended up leaving with my time wasted. Scammy.

Scammers!

Scammers! Told me over the phone that they would give me $1200 if I delivered my car to them - $800 to $1000 if they come to pick it up. My brakes were going so I told them to come get it. Mike offered me $600. I told him what the offer was over the phone. He said the rims are not the original. I bought the car new and those were the rims it came with.

Con man

Like everyone else offered a price then they give you 1/3 tried to say cat was not original I pulled cover off to show factory markings and then he said the car is old I needed the car gone but I feel ripped off and turned down better offers as they had promised $1000 but paid 300

They are lying thieves

My interaction with them echoes many of the reviews: promised a price in writing by Mike, who said they'd pay more if the car was delivered to them (1000 vs 800 picked up).
Malik or Adam (who know if either names are true) proceeds to drop the price to 300 because it's missing this and that and the OEM catalytic converter isn't OEM, stating it's ceramic vs metallic - complete lie.
They will promise you a price only to make up anything to bring the price down.
This is a very misleading and almost criminal enterprise - they are not to be trusted.

Mike or Igor

Mike, AKA Igor refused to honour the $1,000 for our car, and then sent me inappropriate texts after I called him out on his shady dealings, with “I knew you would like it”, and kissy face emojis.
I am not interested and I don’t want anyone else to waste their time being scammed by him.

This company is a waste of your time

This company is a waste of your time. Mike called me and gave me a quote of $1200 for my used car. He didn’t ask any details. He offered $1000 to pick it up, or $1200 if we brought it to him. I drove 40 minutes with my partner and 7 month old baby to what I thought was a scrap yard, which turned out to be a parking lot.
The guy offered my partner $600 because it didn’t have a catalytic converter or aluminum rims—none of which items he had asked about when he gave the quote, and all cars have catalytic converters.
We sold him the car because it was a similar offer to other scrap yards, and the thought of doing this again with a young baby was unappealing. It wasted a perfectly good afternoon. I don’t know why these guys can’t just be honest about what they’re willing to pay.

Don’t waste your time!!!

Scammers!

Igor Gomelyuk (going by Mike for some reason) offered me a price for a scrap car. His employee named Adam showed and started inspecting the car for some reason, checking km’s etc (it’s scrap, remember). He then looked under the car and said it had no catalytic converter, and reduced the price. I told him he obviously doesn’t know what he’s talking about as I pointed to the catalytic converter, in the exact place it should be. He then said because it was a six cylinder car, it should have two, in-line, which isn’t a thing. I tried to explain that only dual exhaust vehicles would have two in that configuration, and I even pulled up the exhaust diagram to prove it. He then raised the price, but was still short of the promised amount. I told him to leave, after which he begged me to sell him the car as he wouldn’t get paid otherwise, which I said is not my problem as they are trying to scam me. He then showed me hundreds of pictures on his phone of catalytic converters, and explained that every one was “aftermarket” and he had to reduce the price on all of them. I asked him how he knew they were aftermarket, he said because they are “shinier” than the rest of the exhaust system, meaning they “must” have been replaced at some point. I asked how he could tell aftermarket from OEM by just looking at it, he said “from experience”. I had enough and told him to leave, and then he said his “boss” approved $50 less than the original quote. I took the amount to be done with the situation, otherwise I would have said no based on principle. They are scamming thousands of dollars from unsuspecting people

Don't let Max access your vehicle

Mike (AKA Igor Gomelyuk - for whatever reason) sent out Max (apparently the manager) to view my car which I was originally offered (by Mike) $500 - $600 if they came and towed it (although it runs perfect), or $800 if I drove it to them (which I did). Once Max looked at the car he offered me $300 because he said it didn't have a catalytic convertor. I walked away - got back home - put it on ramps and confirmed that indeed it does have a catalytic convertor. In my humble opinion this company is a scam or at the very least has a manger that doesn't know what a catalytic convertor looks like.

CashForScrapCarsGTA.com is a SCAM!

Terrible experience with these scammers. I got a quote over email for $1500 for my scrap car or $1200 if they send a tow truck to me. They said their quotes are guaranteed.

When I towed my old car to their shady yard on Islington, I realized that this isn't even a scrap yard. Some eastern European with an accent came out and said they can pay a maximum of $600 for my car, not the $1500 they initially quoted.

He came up with every excuse in the world. I already spent $400 towing my car, hoping to get $1100 in profit. I was scammed.

These people have no reviews anywhere and obviously it makes sense. They hide their identity so that nobody can reveal what actual scam they're running.

I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and Ontario Consumer Protection.

The guy calls himself Mike, but when he e-mailed me, the email said Igor Gomelyuk.
