Very poor service

Very poor service. Ordered though web site. I did not realize the web site is not live so you can order and pay (plus I paid for next day delievery) for an item that is out of stock. Apparently they then send out an email advising this. I did not receive this so they keep your money for an item that will be back in stock in maybe three months. Had to chase them to vent my anger and ask for a refund.

We are sorry to hear you have been left disappointed with our service.

With regard to stock levels on our website, we do understand your frustration but as we are a relatively small company, we currently do not have the facility to tie our stock levels with the site. As part of the order process, we aim to send a follow up email within 1 working day from an internet order being placed to update our customers of the status of their items.

An email was sent on the 7th February to advise that the cashmere leggings that you ordered were out of stock and due back into us on the 14th March. If you haven’t received the email in your inbox, we would kindly ask you to check your junk folder.

We can see on your order notes that you have spoken with one of our customer service advisors and requested a refund, which I can confirm, was processed for you today.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Dubious business practice with a failure to respond to customers' queries

I ordered 2 cashmere stoles on sale. After payment was taken for both, I received a confirmation email. A second email was then received stating that the one stole was out of stock. There was no indication as to when it would be back in stock or any offer of a refund for that item. I emailed the company 6 days later and to date I have not received a reply. Taking customers' money for an unavailable item and ignoring their communications is highly dubious. They have failed to provide an item I paid for yet are sitting with my money whilst I have to pay a credit card bill for an item not received! Is this even legal? No other companies operate in this manner. When I order online from M & S, John Lewis or Amazon it is made very clear if an item is out of stock and the customer is not able to order it.

As part of the order process, we aim to send a follow up email within 1 working day from an internet order being placed to update our customers of the status of their items. When you place your order online it mentions you will receive a follow up email confirmation of stock availability.

On the 13th December we emailed you to advise the rainforest cashmere pashmina stole was out of stock. The pashmina stole is due into us on the 24th January and we have upgraded your postage to 1st class, so your order is dispatched on a quicker service. We will never charge any additional postage if your order is sent in more than one parcel.

A response to your email was sent to you by our Customer Service Manager on 6th January, so I do apologise if this did not reach you or went to your Junk Folder.

If we can do anything further to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact us by calling 01908 522 455 or emailing customer-services@cashmerecentre.com.

Pleasant company to deal with

I sent a cardigan to thus company to be repaired, it wasn't their product but they were happy to repair it.

The service of the repair was quick and efficient as was the receipt of the garment back.

My only comment is that although the lady did warn me that the repair wasn't an exact match, I would have thought that there us a difference between blue and turquoise, my cardigan was the latter colour. Hopefully it won't be obvious in wear and also that the repair will remain sound. However the ladies I have spoken to in this company from time to time have been very friendly and helpful.

I have purchased pashminas from them in the past and always found their products of good quality and would buy again, though they are rather expensive.

Bought a scarf

Bought a scarf, nice colour selection, so I bought a second, then third. The third I bought for myself for Mothers Day, unfortunately when it arrived it had a glaringly obvious flaw in the weave. I emailed the company, they said return it and they would send an exchange one out. Not only was this a disappointment as I wanted to wear it for Mothers Day lunch, but the inconvenience of having to return, without much apology. I notice now that the scarves have returned to their full price (another £15) so I definitely won't be paying that much as they're not worth £45.

Gorgeous scarf

Gorgeous scarf, will go with many outfits. Was advised there would be a delay in despatch but arrived ahead of schedule. Very pleased with purchase.

Very efficient service.

I ordered a cardigan - it was too small so I ordered the next size which came very quickly. I have since returned the smaller size and you have received it and are refunding me. Thank you, you have provided a very efficient service.

A long wait for a rather underwhelming garment

I ordered this on 1st February, when the payment was taken. I eventually received it on 11th March, after prompting. Nothing wrong with it, other than no label showing back/front. A smallish medium, quite fine cashmere, and quite expensive for what it was IMO. Will probably stick with Pure and Lands End for high quality cashmere delivered extremely promptly.

I bought a scarf

I bought a scarf after looking for one to wear under a coat that is a bit’draughty’ round the neckline.As I have a few colours in the pashmina range I decided on a pink one. I am very happy with my purchase
