The M/L mask did not fit either of us so it was a total waste of money- filters and all!

I love this mask and the Castlegrade customer service!
This mask is great and definitely keeps you more protected than any standard surgical mask. Although this mask isn't NOISH certified, it is approved by the Australian equivalent of the FDA, and is FDA registered like some surgical masks and the KN95 mask. However, unlike those masks, this mask hold a solid suction seal around your face making it much better than most other masks, probably including some N95 masks. But be aware that this masks is harder to breathe in than most masks. With this in mind, while it's not great for exorcizing or speaking, it is great for times when exposed to a lot of people or pathogens like in a mall, store, or public bathroom.
The style of the masks looks a little post apocalyptic which is why in retrospect I should have gotten the grey one, but I also looks kind of cool looking like Bane.
Initially when I got this mask I liked it, but there was a slight defect in it. Only one side clicked closed on the front of the mask. However, after emailing Castlegrade about this, they immediately sent me a new mask with 5 filters.

I am sorry to say that I find your G-9 mask too uncomfortable to use. Once in possession of the 2 masks I purchased from you, and as a retired Industrial Designer I take issue with the design of the mask. First, the silicon head strap consisting of 2 straps of the same length results in a bad fit. The measurements around any head, above and below the ears are not the same, and the stretch in the silicon banding appears to be less then with typical elasticized fabric banding. In my case the top band from the mask is quite tight around the back of my head whereas the bottom band actually drapes loosely around my neck. The result is that the top of the mask is tight at the bridge of my nose (coincidently pinching the sides of my nose shut to a small degree) but the bottom of the mask is somewhat loose against my chin. I can feel air escape with every exhale.

My second, and more critical problem with your design is with the size of the breathing port - approximately a square inch. The small size of the port makes drawing a breath noticeably difficult with the 4-ply filter in place. I also notice a majority of the customer review complaints, most of them dated after I purchased the mask, involve breathing difficulty associated with the small breathing port. A typical surgical mask provides up to 12 square inches of breathing surface with the added benefit of more area to capture unwanted particulate moving at a slower velocity. Had I been on your design team I would have strongly advocated for enlarging the breathing surface. As it is, it is a real deal breaker for me!

At about $40.00 per mask I can’t help feeling deceived by your website’s very thorough advertising campaign. With that high a price I regret admitting to feeling confident that I would be buying a well designed, well thought-out product. I was wrong.

Mask is too small. My nose bumps into the end and the mask does not seal around it periphery. I had hoped it would eliminate my fogging glasses but that is still a problem too.

Expensive mask that I can't use.

I ordered medium/large and it was too small to wear. Not even close. Even if it had fit it sits on the face in an awkward manner that makes it uncomfortable to wear and easily knocked out of position. Junk.

These masks are great. I needed one for a 14 hour flight during COVID. It was way more comfortable and way safer than a paper or cloth mask.

Customer service was great too! I bought mine early and could have used more info on sizing and getting the fit right, which now seems available on the site. I emailed to ask and the company owner talked me through everything.

My 4 year old son and I both wear them. He is able to play at the playground for 1-2 hours no complaints. I feel the safest at work (pharmacist) while wearing my castlegrade mask. Provides a more reliable seal than other n95s.

It’s a very good mask that feels secure on the face and doesn’t fog glasses. Would highly recommend it. The only thing I wish is that it came with an extra strap, but it does feel well made. Would buy again and recommend for anyone wanting something a little more medical grade.

I am enjoying wearing this mask, very comfortable and secure.

This idea looks soo coolon the pretty models in the pics. Im totally satisfied with the item and with covid cases surging with out shutdowns this will be handy for maximum protection. It’s comfortable and fits well. No strange smells and it comes in a sterile package. It’s aesthetically pleasing, between my Mohawk and spiked clothing it completes the Apocalyptic look for me. Onward mad max.

Works great. Easy breathing and no foghing my glasses.

This is a great mask, very easy to use and replace the filter. When I ordered the mask they were out of matching ear straps but customer service kept me informed and shipped everything as soon as the straps were available which was greatly appreciated. Overall I had an outstanding experience.

Product arrived quickly and seems to be quite well-made and as if it will be comfortable to wear over time. I haven't given it a real try yet as I purchased them with an intent to wear in more "risky" situations and/or if someone in my immediate family gets sick, as opposed to everyday use. That said, I'm happy to have something more effective on reserve should either of those situations arise.

I use this mask to work out at the gym. Can't work out with a traditional mask cause I would probably pass out and die. So wearing castleguard mask allows me to breathe without dying. The more I sweat the more the mask sticks to my face. It's like it's hermetically sealed and doesn't move around which is great especially when I am doing the circuit training routine. So glad I decided to invest in this mask.

Picked wrong size because at the time did not see any videos on the site to explain how to measure for the size. Last week saw videos showing how to wear and determine size needed, so from that found that i had ordered one too large ane wasted my money getting one too small plus all the extrra filters I orded for it, so I wasted my money and so last week I orded a new one which is the smaller adult size and the side straps! Otherwise I think it is a great product. So glad to be able to get one.

Worst piece of garbage I have ever seen. Absolutely worthless. Whatever you do, don’t buy it.

I am so impressed with these high quality masks that I bought everyone in my family one to keep them safe. Tightest seal, very comfortable to wear and no fogged eyeglasses. I recommend it to everyone I know.
