I recently left an academic role in Higher Education looking for a rewarding change of career that would utilise my years experience of education and create a. better work/life balance. I was fortunate enough to come across the Catchup Academy in my search, and enquired about working as a 1-1 tutor .
I cannot sing the praises highly enough of my fabulous agent / manager Bianca Edwards. She has been professional, supportive, empathetic and patient with all the questions I have to ask. Bianca has been understanding about my needs and tailored the tutoring experience to my requirements and skill set. Bianca’s commitment and dedication to the young people we support is so inspirational.
I was registered within a few days , received suitable work straight away and have always been paid on time. I cannot fault the experience I have had with the academy, I have received free safeguarding training and the team processing my recruitment process were professional and super efficient.
This role has been transformational for me, creating a work/ life balance, so grateful to the Catchup Academy and Bianca for giving me the opportunity!

Working with CatchUp Academy has been incredibly rewarding, we’re truly on the frontline shaping students’ futures every day. Bianca and Gurleen have been phenomenal from day one: supportive, accommodating, and brilliant at matching tutors with the right students. Their dedication and warmth make everything seamless and genuinely inspiring.
Couldn’t recommend them more, an outstanding team doing incredible work!

Terrible company.
Keeps giving you jobs then at a later stage says you were not chosen after all.
Sent all documents to register and 3 months later sill was not registered. Feel very badly treated and messed about. They recruit more people than they need and then never ever give the work.

Was encouraged to register. I am based in Nottingham. Then the person who I was dealing with me was unfair when I put myself forward for a role. Then she never contacted me again. Since then I have contacted the academy twice but nobody has replied. Not a good experience nor professional.

My experience working with Catch Up Academy has been incredibly positive. I’ve worked in a range of educational settings, but what stands out about Catch Up Academy is its dedication to reaching students who truly need extra support. The roles I’ve taken on have been both fulfilling and rewarding, and I genuinely feel that I’m making a meaningful impact.
A big part of this experience has been thanks to my consultant, Bianca Edwards. Truly, she has been consistently supportive and is super supportive in finding roles that match my skills and interests. I always feel comfortable communicating with her as she’s approachable, professional and genuinely cares about both the tutors and the students.
I would highly recommend Catch Up Academy to any tutor looking to make a difference. It’s a fantastic way to use your experience to support learners who really benefit from it!

Great source of reliable and well matched opportunities. Brilliant starting point for anyone looking to get into tutoring or their foot in the door within education. Bianca has been especially helpful in finding me work that fits my skill set and experience. She always goes above and beyond to keep on top of communication which is not easy when you’re in education and checks in regularly and works in collaboration.

They got me into work really quickly, decent hourly pay and good communication

This company lacks honesty, compassion and communication. They are not interested in your well-being or how great you make the children feel - instead - they penalise you for your humanity and fixable mistakes. They will leave you in the dark and then drop you no matter your circumstances.

Working under Fabiola has been an incredible experience. She is approachable, supportive, and always willing to answer my questions promptly. As this is my first time tutoring in a more structured setting, her guidance has made the process both enjoyable and stress-free. Her encouragement has given me the confidence to develop my skills and grow in this role.

I’m incredibly grateful to The CatchUp Academy for their outstanding support and professionalism. From the very beginning, they made the recruitment process smooth, easy, and stress-free. Their team was always supportive, guiding me every step of the way into my first role at an exceptional specialist private school.
What truly impressed me was how seamlessly the transition happened—just about two months into the role, I was offered a one-year fixed-term contract with the school. This incredible opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and efficiency of The CatchUp Academy and its amazing team.
If you’re an educator looking for a reliable and supportive agency, I highly recommend The CatchUp Academy. They genuinely invest in your success and open doors to fantastic career opportunities. Thank you once again! Special thanks to Fabiola and Amelia.
