We're unsure whether the active ads had any impact, as we checked multiple accounts but found no posts or updates related to our missing cat. Thankfully, the cat returned home on its own.
Catfinder must improve its service and ensure value for money for their customers as the above explained.

Wait of time and money. Their post did not receive barely any recognition and was not informative as it should have been. I would not recommend this service!!

We found our kitty hiding behind the furnace in a deep closet.

Quite easy to upload Whiskers’ profile and we did get a couple of neighbourhood tips, but the alerts were glitchy—one ping sent us across town for a look-alike tabby. Nice safety net, yet the real breakthrough came from the old-school laminated poster by the bus stop. Probably handy to pair both.

really good to be able to post about our missing cat and it being sent all over the place, so you dont need to stress on how to get it out and about on Social Media - Brilliant app

I think it is a good service but in the end, it is more the posters glued on mailboxes that can help. I am sure this service can be useful in the sense that it will reach more people, but it stays an online service and I am not sure everybody looks at those ads.

Paid for an ad on Facebook and Instagram. I got the notification they were active- but the Facebook one does not exist/is broken.

I emailed them twice, and no response. It has been 26 hours since my first email and no one is responding. Considering this is a 72 hour ad - a response time that has (so far) eaten up over a third of my paid time is ridiculous. What's more, when you have lost a cat every hour counts, and over a full day delay in my expensive ad being posted is BS.

I gave 2 stars because the Instagram ad posted- but none of the description I entered or details are included. Just a photo and "Missing".

Update: 48 hours and the Facebook ad is still not up and despite their stats saying my Instagram one has been viewed THOUSANDS OF TIMES it has 1 single like. The comment on it is mine. I have a screenshot by cant figure out how to update it.

My Cat actually came back of his own record. I guess he got lonely and hungry. It was good to know that Services like this were available, but they didn’t actually find him.

It seemed to reach a lot of people according to their stats l, but I didn't get contacted once. I appreciate the service.

Easy to use; reaches broad network area; sense of comfort

I got lots of clicks, but no real responses. Not sure if this was effective, but I was desperate. In the end she returned on her own. I think local posts on FB were more responsive.

If your pet is lost you do everything to make sure the word is out and to get them back. I am so grateful that I found this tool and it was so cheap for me to have the ad played in such a large area. After two weeks and one day, my cat was seen and reported, and I was able to go find him today. My baby is home!

To be honest, I saw no value in the $50 I paid for this. Luckily, my cat returned by himself. He was injured and had been hiding away somewhere. I have no visibility of what, if anything, catfinder did to help. I did not see any social media posts related to my missing cat (other than the ones I had posted myself to local missing pet pages). I feel like I threw the $50 away - while my cat was missing, I was prepared to try anything, but I would not recommend this service to anyone else based on my experience. I am currently unemployed, so would like value for every $ I spend - for these $50, I saw no value.

Great emergency contact for animals in general. Good idea ! I found the cat behind/under the fridge in the trap hole , couldn't believe it ! 4.5 /5 (not an option) somewhere along the lines, there must be a way to slightly improve, i'm just not sure. Thanks !

They stole my money… didn’t make a post and won’t acknowledge me. Pretty messed up way to get money..

I paid $150 for an ad and on August 6th and it’s now the 20th and they won’t even respond to me… saying someone will reach out in 24 hours.

My cat just went missing today, Apr 13, 2023...in a panick I use this site paid $35, they took my money but none of my neighbors got an alert. I called my bank, closed my account...it was an added stess in an already stressful day losing my pet. Please beware! I got scammed big time!

I liked and disliked the commercial aspect of it - there is no such thing as a free lunch, so I gladly accepted to pay some money to widen the radius of potential eyes on the lookout. There was pressure to buy into more and more other services though, so I felt solicited, however it wasn't too obnoxious and I like the approach of using social media directly to carry out the search.
