Bought a Cannondale from CCACHE…

Bought a Cannondale from CCACHE recently and had a really good experience, so thought I’d leave a review because there seem to be a lot of negative ones around.

Before ordering I emailed the custom bikes team (separate inbox) and they were really helpful with sizing. I was also able to change a few things on the build, including going to 165mm cranks and a 38cm bar. I’m pretty sure you can change the stem length as well. Paid the deposit and I think it was about a week and a half before the bike was ready.

Got an email when it was ready to collect, went into Marrickville, paid the balance and the guys there gave me a few tips before I left. Also got 1% back in rewards points, which I wasn't expecting.

I’d actually read a bunch of the ProductReview/Reddit/Google reviews before buying and was a bit hesitant because of some of the stuff people were saying. But honestly, my experience was pretty much the opposite.

One thing I noticed in a lot of the reviews was people complaining about bikes being listed as “supplier warehouse”. I took that to mean exactly what it sounds like the bike is at the supplier's warehouse, not sitting at CCACHE ready to go. So I knew it would have to be ordered in. Maybe I’m interpreting it differently to other people, but I thought it was pretty clear.

Same with the complaints about waiting. Mine took around 2 weeks, which I thought was totally reasonable. It's a bike coming from a supplier, not ordering something off Amazon and having it turn up tomorrow.

The customisation was probably the best part for me. I liked being able to actually talk to someone about the bike and make changes to the spec rather than just accepting whatever the standard build was.

The Marrickville staff were good too. You can also tell they do a pretty big volume of online orders.. there were packages constantly coming in and going out when I was there.

Anyway, just wanted to add a positive review because I nearly didn't buy from CCACHE after reading some of the other reviews. Glad I did. Had no issues and would happily buy from them again.
