11 Night Best Of Japan Cruise April 26.
Inside cabin was clean and very acceptable. The steward did a first class job. Entertainment was mediocre and some so bad we walked out, but the Baker, Rohan was first class in preparation of daily pastries, more entertaining than the Theatre!. Poor signage for restaurants and theatre locations when coming out of lifts meant longer walks to get the right orientation. The food overall was acceptable but not anything special., except near end of cruise, when the better dishes came out! They wanted good reviews! The waiting staff were excellent as were all the staff generally, trying to make it a cruise to remember.
Should be called a 10 night cruise as last two days were in Tokyo going nowhere.
As a "premium" cruise it was disappointing.
We upgraded our room
We upgraded our room, The first day went fabulous easy check in, no problems. But the next morning we noticed all of our stuff in the bathroom was wet, and it was coming from the ceiling. I took it all out and reported it to the person in charge of cleaning the rooms and in charge of that floor. I did so again the next day, and the next day. I talked to the ship person in charge that wears white. I talked to the service people downstairs. after 5 days they moved us because I called the person who booked my cruise. I will never use this ship again.
Maybe this will help the next person.
The Celebrity agent was dishonest and…
The Celebrity agent was dishonest and misleading. They accepted a deposit of $1510 for a suite only for us to learn the next day that it was to be paid in full initially. The original agent claimed to have received an authorization from management to complete the booking, however that wasn't true.

I arrived at Incheon Bay , Korea to see the magnificent Celebrity Millenium waiting for me.
I alighted the taxi and my suitcases were immediately taken from me and delivered promptly to my cabin.
I had selected an Oceanview cabin. It was spacious and extremely comfortable, and well serviced twice a day.
The ship is run by an American line and dollars is on board currency. I was aware gratuities were payable so I elected to pay them upfront. No getting away from that so I simply cleared it.
On board I had taken the "All Inclusive" and "Basic WiFi and drinks package". I elected to upgrade the Wifi to Premium for an extra £5.07p a day for one phone only. Sufficient for me. Drinks..I found the basic drinks package adeqate to be honest and as for the meals, !!10/10..amazing choices and all delicious !
There is more than enough onboard entertainment even when remaining onboard when in dock, and as for offshore excursions , a little expensive I thought , but all well organised and I saw what I wanted to see. You don't go to Japan and penny pinch..it costs what it costs..
It can be argued that prices onboard are expensive for purchases but isnt this common on all cruise liners ?
Overall, Celebrity Cruises earned 10/10 from me, so I will say it as I see it, a good cruise company and recommended.
Very disappointed with Celebrity
Celebrity cruises severely disappointed us on our Equinox cruise this summer. This was only our second ever cruise, we previously enjoyed one on Celebrity Beyond in 2023 which was an amazing trip. Despite advising them that I was in a wheelchair, the doorway to the sky suite was not wide enough for a narrow wheelchair. Luckily for us an accessible cabin became available on day 2 and a staff member assisted us to move our things. The exclusive retreat sun deck at the top of the ship did not have lift access - we were given a private pod to use instead but the waiter service was intermittent. We booked the accessible trip to St Sofia museum in Istanbul which promised a limited number of steps, only to be faced with 300 steps which our tour guide advised us was a recent move. Our panoramic Ephesus trip was just a carpet selling opportunity. We were given a voucher against a future cruise but the chances of us using Celebrity Cruises again is negligible. We took this up with our travel agent, only to be advised that Celebrity were informed of required wheelchair access but did not accommodate us. On the plus side, the shows were fun to watch, the food in the Luminae restaurant was amazing and the staff bent over backwards to be accommodating, there was absolutely no complaint with the level of service we received on board.
(As an aside, Celebrity quickly amended the wording on their accessible Istanbul excursion description and used this as a reason not to refund, I screenshotted before and after the description)
UPDATE- Celebrity Cruises contacted me personally, addressed all my concerns, apologised and offered a monetary gesture of goodwill once I made it clear that we would not use the vouchers we had been given on board. Thank you, it is very rare to come across this level of customer service once you have used a service
Avoid Celebrity Cruises
Was on a Celebrity cruise on July of this year . The ship broke down in Kusadasi Turkey we were stuck in this port for 4 days and missed all the other ports we were planing to call at . Belive you me you dont want to be stranded in Kusadasi for 4 days it full of con men and thieves. With loud music playing all night . Celebirty refunded us some money but nothing that would make up for our ruined holiday they also conned everyone by giving them a 50% discount which was a con as they are giving 30 and 40% as standard for anyone making a bookings so they really gave us nothing . I have contacted there so called customer service by email to complain and to try to get some genuine compensation but they never reply . If booking a cruise dont be fooled by Celebrity hipe book another honest cruise line there are plenty out there
Best Cruiseline Ever
Best Cruiseline ever! Wonderful staff, which includes the cleaners, restaurant staff and customer relations. The entertainment is always topnotch. This is our 3rd time with Celebrity and would not cruise with any other cruiseline.
No loveitbookit experience
First time using Love It Book It but a regular cruiser with Celebrity Cruises.
On 7th December 2024 I booked a European Fly Cruise, it was a very exciting booking as trying to surprise my husband but he joined in call, it’s for our upcoming 40th Wedding Anniversary, Cruise Date 27th September 2025.
I enquired during call re deposit which was a Thousand but when booking we were charged 1600 despite online advertised 1000. Furthermore I had enquired re WhatsApp but reply received after booking, their response was that deposit could be split into two 500 payments.
However, booked we did on 7th December 2024 On 26 th December I suffered a heart attack totally out of the blue. I contacted by email Love It Book It a few days later re my situation. An automated response returned stating 3-5 business days reply.
Their response blew me away, given no mention of holiday insurance when booking The options faced are.
Cancel holiday loose full deposit
Or
Change to an equally must be fly cruise Celebrity.abd pay 150 each to do so.
Or
Contact holiday insurer for help
Honestly it’s just made me feel so upset, money money money at the helm of this.
I have replied stating, naturally I don’t know situation given tests ongoing, no one wants this.
Is this how they are? They appear different on screen.
So upset . I contacted them on 3rd January as soon as feeling well enough to do so.
Date of experience: 03 January 2025
Celebrity Cruises are Fraudsters!!!!
Where do I start with Celebrity cruises. The issues we have are not really with the staff they were really good. Our issues started when we were at the airport when we arrived then the debarical continued when we disembarked.
We had paid for a transfer from Miami airport the transfer didn't arrive that wasn't just us Celebrity left 12 other guests stranded at the airport.
When we left the ship they took over £700 from our account but we left the ship with a zero balance yet Celebrity are saying we can't hear you when my husband calls them.
Honestly I would never book a Celebrity cruises again we are now taking Celebrity Cruises to court to get our money back absolutely disgusting customer service.
Beware..Celebrity Equinox...Worst cruise experience perience Equinox
My husband and I are regular cruisers (40+) and have significant loyalty to RC and Celebrity.
First day of cruise had an accident in cabin when large heavy object fell onto my head.
The whole situation has left me feeling traumatised, vulnerable, shaky and mistrustful of the senior staff on the Equinox ship... to say they treated this incident as a trivial matter is understated.
Beware you cruisers, everything is fine if a trivial request, like getting your safe one or your TV working, but any matter which requires more thought care and attention, forget it. So when you see that statement on your daily newsletter which promises help and assistance to enable you to have the perfect cruise experience..all is not what it seems!!
Why does it take 45 Business days to…
Why does it take 45 Business days to refund excursion money when you cancel a cruise?
As a business that operates 7 days a week and can take my money in seconds, why does it take this long to refund £2800?
If you had handled my query appropriately, I wouldn't have had to cancel.
As a guest that always cruises with Celebrity, I will think twice before booking again.
Worst casino experience ever
Worst casino experience ever. Told dealer I had to go to the bathrooms and he said I can’t hold your spot. As I saw some one else behind me. Mind you I have been playing all week. Horrible!!!
Absolutely the worst cruise we've had…
Absolutely the worst cruise we've had for the following reasons:
1. Crazy crazy drink prices, the cheapest bottle wine was $40. The same could be bought in our local store for $9.50 i.e. some 400% more expensive. On checking afterwards it seems most prices were between 450% and 185% more pricey than locally bought.
2. Reductions the Captains club loyalty "benefits" results in paying more for less.
3. Excursions a complete rip off. On the first one we had a guide with a high pitched voice speaking very quickly in English translation. No one in our group had any idea what she was saying. Unfortunately none of the posters in the venue had English translations so we just looked around and wondered.
The second trip was the worst. Celebrity gave two guests a sticker for the wrong coach, resulting in our coach guide getting a call telling us to stop on the motorway while they caught up, a delay of 30 minutes. On arrival the tour guide admitted she didn't know much about the place, and after walking around for an hour looking at streets and objects she admitted didn't know what they meant, left us in the pouring rain for 2.5hr free time! She had told us churchs did not allow touring parties, but one we entered to shelter from the pouring rain and counted 5 touring parties being shown round, two holding boards from our ship!
4. To cap it all, as a result of having to walk around for such a long time in the rain to find our way back and wait for our coach to arrive, coupled with guests onboard coughing and sneezing in public areas without face protection or any policing by Celebrity, we ended up with Covid midway through our holiday, which made the rest of the cruise very uncomfortable and a nightmare journey home, not expecting to have to recover from Covid afterwards our only souvenir.
I could go on, poor / uncaring staff service in some areas, (I heard a guest ask 3 different staff members to lower sun blinds, they said they would, but didn't). I checked before leaving, they were in the still in the same position.
Never again.
Shortly after posting my Celebrity…
Shortly after posting my Celebrity review, I had a call from the Celebrity head office in Miami Florida from a member of the executive office. She, or someone from that office had read my latest email and wanted to know more about my complaint. She said she would discuss my situation with the UK Customer Service team after the weekend and get back to me with the result of that discussion.
However, only an hour later, she called me again after accessing the email thread between Celebrity UK and myself between 1st and 4th October and was able to identify that on the timings of my booking and the forwarding of the cheaper Iglu price to them Celebrity UK should have reduced my cruise price to the Iglu level.
And I am happy to say that that reduction to my outstanding balance has now taken place.
And I can upgrade my star award level to 4 stars. Not 5 because I should not have had all this problem to get from Celebrity Cruises what they publicly promise their customers in their website.
Poor guest experience , request for items ignored in drive to streamline
Recent 4 day cruise with celebrity fell way below expectations. When you book a holiday and pay for food and drink , you would hope that the staff would provide what had been paid for,. Sadly my recent experience was not anywhere near what i had hoped. I consistently {multiple times daily ) had to return drinks as what i ordered was not provided. This does not make for a very relaxing holiday as staff are clearly trained to just give you cheaper alternatives and management hope you don't notice. The staff work very hard and it must be as difficult for them as it is annoying to the guest. Its just a shame that guests preferences are washed away by the need to strip the bones of service to the point of ignoring what guests ask for.
Absolutely amazing cruise with great service
Absolutely amazing cruise with service being great. We had many employees on board going out of their way to help. Cannot mention them all but would like to say thanks to Aries and his team in the restaurant and Trace and Krishna in the Passport bar. Have travelled with Celebrity a few times and have never been disappointed.
Sailed on the Apex what an amazing…
Sailed on the Apex what an amazing experience the staff, ship, entertainment and food was absolutely marvelous. This was my fourth Celebrity cruise and honestly cannot fault them in any way
Terrible Service
Cruise from Singapore through Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia on the Celebrity Millenium.
On arrival found the floor of the cabin covered in masses of blond hairs, reported this and was immediately hoovered. This is after an email that the ship was undergoing a deep clean due to some previous passengers suffering from gastroenteritis. Queuing hours just to get onboard the ship, seemed to be the norm for the next 12 days queuing for everything, meals drinks etc. When complaining the excuse was, its because the ship is full. Ship is now very tired, in the 12 days onboard were never able to get a sunbed, always busy. Paid $140 for an indian night, should of gone to the self service restaurant, indian food is much better there. If you like queuing for everything and being ripped off on trips this is the ship for you.
Not impressed
We haven't actually embarked on our Norway cruise for mid May but as we were given very little advanced information we have discovered all the restaurants included in our package are booked out. We therefore have to pay to eat. We ended up paying for WiFi when we didn't need to and drinking is prohibitively expensive. The lack of information is shocking
My wife had $100 cruise credit…
My wife had $100 cruise credit (confirmed in writing), but on her return she was charged $152 instead of $52. No cruise credit allowance. Issue raised by telephone, email and letter. No response from Celebrity. A court claim has now been issued to recover the money. What a hassle!
