I've been using cellar rats for about 6 months now. Always great products with a luxury feel to the packaging. I look forward to my delivery each month to see what different wines I can taste. Wo... See more

What a shame! I thought this was a good idea. I haven't had a bad experience with the customer service, but the wine quality has been awful. Many leaking bottles and others, especially the reds, ferme... See more

Mouldy Bottles
The wine was fine but now the bottles are moldy and gross.
I have been a customer for years on and…
I have been a customer for years on and off with these guys and it is really sad to see that the company has ended. They have done everything they could to keep it going but it just didn't last. I've had freebies off them (earned for recommending people but also just given to me because they were awesome!) and amazing customer service including Interaction from Matthew and other members of the team.
Some of these reviews are blatant lies because the company stopped taking orders on dates that some of them are claiming to have ordered. They were crystal clear in emails and on the website about what had happened.
People choosing not to check these things. And not to read their emails is not the fault of a company. It is the fault of the person. And the leaving negative reviews for a company that has ceased to trade is absolutely pointless. And it just shows how low some people will go to get the attention they crave so badly.
Gone Bust
Hi,
Cellar Rats (Wine Delivery Online Ltd) has ceased to trade and has engaged an insolvency practitioner with the aim of closing the company into liquidation in the next couple of weeks.
We have tried everything within our power to remedy the situation over the past few weeks but to no avail. We really wanted to give our customers the experience they deserved but we fell short for which we can only apologise.
All subscriptions and transactions have been stopped, however we are unable to directly refund or fulfil orders. For any claims please contact:
Best,
Cellar Rats Team
No wine received
Received a gift card for my birthday. Handwritten code to redeem the gift was almost impossible to decipher and multiple attempts to contact cellar rats all went answered. Eventually I guessed the code and placed my order. More than a month down the line, no wine received.

I've had an email saying there closing for good. Happy days. 😁😁😁
Still taking money and no wine!!!!
I paid £73.99 in July and have just had another £98.99 come out of my account and I have never received a bottle. I got the samples and that was it! Now the web site is out! Shocking! I went through an offer I received from my Gin club, so I didn’t think for a second I would need to check trust pilot.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID I got a free offer through an online purchase and paid £9.95 postage for the 6 small bottles but after 2 months of waiting, numerous phone calls and ignored emails, they finally arrived. (My husband signed up and got his before me and they couldn't explain why!) I had friends sign up which gave me 6 free bottles but again after months of waiting, numerous calls, no stock and ignored emails, the wines arrived. Low and behold 3 of the 6 weren't what I ordered!! I complained via email but it was ignored. They then tried to take £34.99 from my bank even though I paused the subscription but luckily I had changed the bank details to one I don't use so they were unsuccessful!!! I made several attempts to call and cancel and even sent an email to their support team for the attention of their CEO but this was ignored. When i eventually got through on the phone, the girl said she had cancelled it so they ARE seeing the emails but just ignoring them!!!! I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. Even for free wine! Their service, or lack of it, is appallingly bad.
Don’t sign up it’s a SCAM
Don’t sign up it’s a SCAM
Money has been taken from my account and nothing arrived.
You can find the CEO of Cellar rats on LinkedIn- Matthew Davies… probably better to message there than to the email or phone number provided to cancel a subscription.
I wish I’d have looked here before…
I wish I’d have looked here before signing up to this subscription service. Phone line doesn’t connect, emails go unanswered. Can’t cancel the subscription online you have to ring. Calls ring out so you email, emails are unanswered and round and round in circles you go. I’ve contacted my bank to get them to stop the next payment and they said that isn’t a 100% guaranteed! Absolute scam!
Unfortunately I didn't check the…
Unfortunately I didn't check the reviews before I made the horrific mistake of placing my order. I received the equivalent to 1 full bottle of wine for £10; I initially thought this was a courier issue, but after reading the review on TP I'm not sure that they didn't deliberatly leave 2 bottles out! Anyway, I gave the chance to address this and got no reply. I then tried to suspend the subscription, but their site keeps giving a error message; I also tried calling several times and have emailed repeatedly to request they now cancel the subscription. Due to the lack of any reply I now have to block my credit card and order a new card. DON'T GO THERE
An absolute joke of a company
An absolute joke of a company. What other people are saying about them not answering the phones is completely true but they also do not reply to emails or messages on social media. It's amazing they're allowed to exist. I am still waiting for my subscription to be cancelled as these do not deserve a single penny from anyone
Do not be fooled
Absolutely agree with the other reviews, other than to say I have had a few good wines in the boxes I received. However the latest box has not turned up and the money has been taken. As with others experience absolutely nobody answers the phone, which is the only way to cancel. Very dodgy I’d say- don’t get tangled up with them!
Wouldn't even give one star
Wouldn't even give one star. Got free trial like so many have and now can't cancel. Have received damaged wines. No customer support. No one answers there phones.
It's a con.
Have no idea how to cancel my subscription as noone answers the phone which is only way you can cancel.
Absolutely disgraceful I've been…
Absolutely disgraceful I've been waiting over an hour on the phone to cancel as you can't cancel any other way. Product is crap and service is shocking the company is just trying to get you to sign up for a trial then they make it impossible to cancel. Avoid at all costs.
Unable to cancel: avoid
Unable to cancel; they never answer their phones or reply to emails when questioned about the of value in paying £35 for 6 qtr bottles of wine; equivalent to 1.5 standard bottles, equating to £22 a bottle? Cannot see the value in this; what am I missing here?
order came damaged
order came damaged, no reply from Company then money went back into my account. Closed membership as service wasn't good. Over 3 months later a large amount of money taken out of my bank still no reply as to why from Company, I've not ordered or received anything,
Beware - company doesn't send product!
I signed up through Vodaphone rewards for a free box. I have had money taken out my account last week as per the subscription however when I looked on my account it stated next payment and delivery would be 22 November and nothing for the payment that has just been made.
I have tried phoning over the past few days and been held in a queue for over an hour with no answer.
Today I have went on the website and it states error - doesn't exist! Social media pages also seem to have disappeared. I am now concerned this company will continue to try and take payments without sending any product. I have put a stop on my bank account and will try and get previous money back but I think it will be unlikely!
I really like the concept and the wine…
I really like the concept and the wine selection was great. Great value if you like sampling different wines and don't want to drink a full bottle mid-week!
Do not sign up
I signed up for a free trial through Vodafone rewards. The order was significantly delayed and when it arrived 3 out of the 6 wines had leaked and were undrinkable. I emailed them straight away and have never heard back. Keep trying to cancel the subscription but they never answer the phone.
