LOST ALL MY SAVINGS

I did not deal directly with this company, however my experience with them cost me over $200,000. I sold my house in Florida to an investment company in company in Las Vegas. Center street was the lender,
The buyer borrowed $625,000 from Center Street and I wrote a second mortgage for $225,00. So the buyer paid almost nothing out of pocket. What lending institution allows this. The buyer didn't pay anyone so the bank and myself foreclosed. Center Street lending sold the property to a company called Second Chance for $7000. thus getting me out of the picture. I have since spent about $20,000 in lawyer fees trying to collect on my note.
I'm sure the borrower will hide all his assets and I will probably get nothing. I think this whole thing is a scam.

Draws department and land gorilla and awful combination for Center St Lending

Working with Center Street Lending and their partner Land Gorilla has been one of the most frustrating lending experiences imaginable. The draws department at Center Street, particularly under Christine Flores, has been a nightmare to deal with. Communication is poor, timelines are ignored, and instead of resolving issues, Christine and her department routinely create more delays and confusion.

The situation is made worse by the complete lack of transparency between Center Street Lending and Land Gorilla. Neither side seems to know what the other is doing, and both are quick to shift blame rather than take responsibility. Borrowers are left stranded, forced to chase down updates while projects stall.

And then there’s Land Gorilla’s Onesite app—a clunky, unreliable platform that adds more problems than it solves. Instead of simplifying the draw process, it creates constant headaches with bugs, poor usability, and no real support.

The result? Missed deadlines, wasted time, and unnecessary stress. Between Center Street’s disorganized draws department and Land Gorilla’s dysfunctional system, the process feels broken from top to bottom. If you value your time and sanity, steer clear of this partnership

Terrible company

Terrible company. Did a big loan with them. They charged extension fees as per agreement we did with them. Then suddenly in the middle of the loan they increased the interest rate without informing us and started withdrawing higher interest form the bank. This was not specified in the extension agreements. So they were technically doing a fraud.

Very poor communication

Very poor communication. Cancelled my loan without telling me, I found out through the builder. I can't get straight answers from anyone, they pass me around to different people. Another person will say the loan is not cancelled. They passed me off to Luis Montero who I've left messages with and sent emails to requesting to call me for clarification. No response...yet this is the guy that's supposed to give me answers. I called someone else and they said sorry he's slammed right now. Well, I did reach out to this guy 2 months ago to check on the status of the loan and he never responded then either. Supposedly they sent out letters to others like me notifying that the loans are cancelled, somehow no one got their letters. I am out closing cost fees which I've asked for but told too bad.

No Follow-Up

Had a great first call with Justin, went through the details of my 1031 exchange, he said everything sounded good and would follow up with next steps. He never followed up - I tried calling and emailing for a week straight with no response.

Poor operations

Sales rep has always been great but the loan processing has been a disaster. Furthermore, I paid off a loan and CSL is suppose to refund you the money in 30 days and that didn’t happen. I had to follow up multiple times (I have the email chains) and finally got a reasonable answer after 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I had to move on from using CSL even though my sales rep has always been helpful.
