I have attended the 10 week Sunday Foundation IMA course at CSMU.

Overall, i would recommend this course for beginners looking to get into makeup. The course was well structured, informative and a good foundation step to getting into makeup.

I just wanted to share that I really enjoyed studying at CSMU. The foundation course that I had was really very well balanced - we had theory and practical part every class. Teachers were very helpful and were able to answer on any question that we had. If you are not newly qualified mua I would still recommend you to check this school as they have lots of different courses.

I cannot emphasise enough how amazing my experience was at CSMU. From start to finish, the course exceeded all my expectations, and I owe it all to the incredible, Laura.

Laura's teaching style is truly exceptional. Her passion for makeup is evident in every lesson, and her knowledge and expertise in the field are unparalleled. She possesses a unique ability to break down complex techniques into simple and understandable steps, making the learning process enjoyable and accessible for all students. Aside from the exceptional teaching, the overall atmosphere at CSMU was warm, welcoming, and supportive. Thank you, CSMU, and a special thank you to Laura, for providing such a remarkable makeup education journey. I am truly grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained and will carry them with me throughout my career. I highly recommend CSMU.

Passed my exam for my makeup course, the teachers are great

Very thorough classes. Teachers are amazing and very helpful. I would recommend all budding MUAs to at least do foundation course here and it will help you grow your knowledge and build skills that are essential

This was a great experience. Each teacher took their time to explain and demonstrate looks, and very supportive.

A great experience. Expertise of tutors is very high and they are very thorough so this course is not for the faint-hearted! Feels brilliant to have passed though and can’t wait to get my certificates and paperwork.

I had an absolutely amazing experience during my one on one lesson with artist, Steven. I was extremely nervous going in as a complete makeup novice, but he provided really patient support and helped me to understand exactly what to do every day, including how to dress my look up and down. I’m now much more confident in my skills and I’m experimenting with a whole range of options. From start to finish, an excellent service I’d recommend to any novice!

The teachers are all really nice and helpful they give such good advice and provide an environment that makes you feel comfortable when learning new skills or perfecting one’s you already have. I feel like i’ve learnt a lot and feel a lot more prepared to start my makeup business.

Purchased a one to one make up session for my 15 year old daughter who loves makeup and wants to work in the industry. She loved it, wants to do it again. The ladies were really nice and answered any questions my daughter had.

I attended 2 week IMA foundation course with no prior makeup or beauty related education and had the best experience ever. Tutors are exceptionally knowledgeable and supportive, they adapt to each student’s needs and ways of learning in no time making everyone feel welcome as well as creating a safe space for students to grow. I can’t thank them enough for all the knowledge they give followed by encouraging to be my best self and work towards my career

I have attended the 2 week foundation makeup course and it has been an amazing full immersion in makeup. Although I had attended other courses (online schools) and was already involved in makeup, it gave so many new informations, tips and tricks, instructions,....that I never stopped learning during those days!
It has been such a nice experience I would recommend the school to the future makeup artists: when teachers know how to teach, you automatically learn what you need to know. I really wished I could have attended other courses straight away......
