Working for Central Tutors has been a fantastic experience which I couldn't recommend enough! It is a well organised business meaning it could not be easier for tutors. You can chose how much work fits with your own schedule which was perfect for me as I entered my finals years of medical school.

Great support from management as a tutor. Very flexible job and good opportunities of pay rise over time.

I would highly recommend Central Tutors. My son has only had a couple of sessions and already the positive change in his knowledge and understanding of Chemisty is great to see.

We have been using Central Tutors this past while for my daughters SQA Nat5 level Biology & Chemistry.
After an initial consultation with Jamie he paired my daughter with Eilidh for both subjects. They have a great knowledge of the exams and levels and they get to know the person and have tailored the sessions around my daughter’s needs.

Eilidh has been excellent as a tutor and has helped my daughter work on problem areas as well as also working on what is most likely to come up in the exams. Eilidh has also helped my daughter with ideas and pointers of how best to retain the information covered in the lessons.

My daughter is currently receiving tutoring in Maths from Gaia and I don’t know if it’s a coincidence (I don’t think so!) but my daughter’s recent test scores in this subject have really improved. Gaia is patient and understanding and is flexible to the needs of my daughter who is on the dyslexia pathway. I would highly recommend Central Tutors. The set up and payment process is seamless.

Rebecca is a superb tutor for my son. She’s been encouraging and patient. His confidence in and enjoyment of biology has improved exponentially.

She plans each session and check she’s covering all the parts of each unit he’s ensure about.

We’re so pleased Central Tutors found her.

Charlotte is a great biology tutor for my son.
She helps him by going through topics that he was struggling to understand and presets them in a way that he can get his head around. The sessions are engaging whilst covering each topic in detail, followed by practice exam questions to ensure his understanding.

Charlotte is friendly, flexible and overall an excellent tutor who I strongly recommend.

I was recommended Central Tutors by a friend who used them. I initially met with Jamie to discuss our son’s weaknesses and we agreed a plan for both Maths and Physics tuition at Nat 5 level.

So far these sessions have been going well and helping to cement learning in both subjects our son has been struggling with. Jamie helps tutor our son in Maths and Daniel in Physics. Our son has fed back how he now understands topics that he previously just couldn’t understand.

I would highly recommend them.

Jamie has been incredibly professional throughout. After an initial consultation and listening to what we were looking for he paired my daughter with Gaia for both subjects. They have a great knowledge of the exams and levels - especially SQA. I felt other companies I contacted a little impersonal but the focus has very much been on my daughters needs.

Gaia has been excellent as a tutor and has offered both room to work on problem areas as well staying true to what is likely to come up in the exams.

I researched quite a few tutors before booking with Central Tutors and it's been really worthwhile and we are happy we went the them - it's given my daughter more confidence to work through these subjects 1 question at a time and break down the Highers in to more manageable chunks.

My daughter has recently started nat 5 maths tutoring sessions with Jamie. She has found his approach to teaching, friendly, informative and easy to understand.

Jamie has been excellent in helping my daughter with chemistry tuition, she finds the way that he structures lessons really helpful, and makes her more confident in her learning

My son was struggling with his Nat5 maths and was predicted a D.
We asked Jamie for support and he really helped my son by explaining what he didn’t understand and getting him to work through past papers. It really helped with his confidence.

Great help preparing my son for his maths exam

My son has really enjoyed being Tutored by Jamie and feels it has really helped his understanding of Maths. He is feeling much more confident going into his exams. Feedback has been great and Jamie is approachable and always willing to help.

I would highly recommend Central Tutors. Jacob has been teaching Advanced Higher Maths to my son. Jacob tailors each lesson to suit my son and he is so knowledgeable and friendly. My son really enjoys the lessons and is so much more confident in Maths now. I’m so glad I used Central Tutors.

Jamie has supported my son with his Nat 5 Chemistry studies - first with weekly one to one sessions, and then with a weekly group session in the build up to the final exam. He has benefitted very much from the additional focus Jamie has been able to bring to his revision.
