I ordered a custom-built PC from Center Com, but the process was frustrating. It took over four weeks to receive my system, and communication throughout was poor. Many components were out of stock, an... See more

no returns
Don't get me wrong the store and franchise is good but a no return policy really?
Ordered incorrect part
Ordered incorrect part - contacted them before it was delivered to me to ask about the process to return and replace. After being disconnected and redirected to the wrong section 3 times I was told they had recently changed their policy that they do not exchange or refund for change of mind or choice of wrong parts even if the goods sent back were not even opened.
There's so many computer stores you can go to online, just do yourself a favour and avoid Centre Com
Thieves
Inadvertantly clicked on the wrong items. Refused to exchange items.
wouldn't recommend
wouldn't recommend, flaged my order for fraud and poor customer service
I'm disappointed in the deceitfulness…
I'm disappointed in the deceitfulness from a man in the shop claiming he had the best pc for your buck and my mom forcing me to get a gaming setup worth over 4000$ for my bday and it can't even run some games on it shame on the man who did that!
Asked to pay $45 to inspect the item.
I had a very disappointing experience with Centrecom after purchasing a TP-Link modem from them. Shortly after buying it, the modem stopped working as expected. When I brought it back to Centrecom, instead of offering proper support or honoring their warranty policy, they tried to charge me $45 just to inspect the item!
This is ridiculous—customers shouldn’t have to pay extra just to check a faulty product they sold in the first place. It feels like a cash grab, and it left me feeling like they don't value their customers.
If you’re considering buying from Centrecom, be careful. Their post-purchase service is seriously lacking, and you might end up paying more just to get basic support for a defective product. I won’t be shopping here again.
I had ordered a gaming laptop from them
I had ordered a gaming laptop from them
-Product arrived and after 3 months of use it turned off and wouldnt turn back on
-I contacted them prior to christmas, dropped the product off at their Frankston store on the 30/12/2024
-I contacted them the first week and was told they were still diagnosing the issue and that it was due to the motherboard
-They ordered a new motherboard and put it in the system and advised me that did not fix the issue also, I was told it was then that another part had been ordered and this was the AC power adapter??? and a topshell part??? and when these parts arrived at the store they arrived DOA (Dead on arrival) I have been going back and fourth with them since dropping this system off and it has been close to a month of them having the system. I had requested a refund but they said they are exhausted their diagnosis prior to issuing a refund.
I note in their invoice of the purchase it states: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Never buy off centrecom again
I'd give zero star if I can
I'd give zero star if I can. Extremely slow refund, been 60 days and yet to receive the money. Will avoid buying from them from now on.

Deceptive Horrible to deal with
Deceptive stock availability, will just not send your order out if something goes out of stock after your order is placed, they will not tell you or let you know you have to put in a complaint to find out. system showed stock available for 7 days after order and out of stock after 2 weeks still haven't sent order, Customer service terrible you put your order number in the support form and then they waste time asking for it again clearly not worth the few bucks saved.

Ordered a GPU and it got sent to the completely wrong state making me wait an additional 14 days for something that should have taken 3-5 days.
Poor customer service, terrible handling of warranty claims
Would not recommend purchasing anything from here.
They have made claiming warranty for a faulty product I purchased from there an extremely difficult process.
I have also been told that I may incur fees for postage and testing of said faulty product that is still under warranty
What a joke, at this point I just want to return it for a refund, but they refuse refunds. Not sure how that’s legal.
Beware of Frankston centrecom
Go to Clayton centre com, nice people and service .Frankston is bad news
Dodgy return/refund policy, terrible customer service
On the 10th December 2024 I went shopping for a keyboard to use with a desktop pc that I had got recently assembled at centrecom to my specs.
I was after a full keyboard with numeric key pad.
Display of items on shelves was disgusting, as price tags were ad hoc and didn't match the boxes on the shelves. I therefore got staff assistance, (some staff had even less than my limited knowledge of keyboards and features). Acting on staff advice, I was sold an AKKO 3098 keyboard for $109.87. (.87cents card fee)
The sale occurred at 4.19pm Upon looking at the item after arrival at home, I was dismayed that the keyboard doesn't have a Print Screen key, a feature that I use a lot.
I went back to the store the next morning to get a refund and to purchase a more suitable replacement.
I was refused the refund by intransigent staff quoting centrecom return policies supposedly on health grounds. When I complained about not being aware of this policy as it isn't prominently displayed, I was shown the fine print at the bottom of their web site. How is a customer to be aware of this policy when purchasing in store and staff don't inform the customer either verbally or in writing?
I thought I had found a good pc supplier, but now will not return as a customer because I consider centrecom to be a shonky business.
I am amazed that the above situation isn't in breach of consumer law.
Store outright refuses refunds
Store outright refuses refunds. Disgusting company.
Scammers
Dodgy A-Holes! I spent $8000 on a PC (without monitor) It was as about the highest end possible. They picked half of the parts but there were issues. The 128gb DD5 ram that I bought was running SUPER slow! I did some research and found they werent really compatible with my MOBO. They said it's not their fauly and would do nothing. When I asked for my retails cope of Windows they just suplied me a key writen on a scrap bit I paper!! Other issues also!!! THIS IS THE BUNDOORA STORE!
The Bendigo store takes no…
The Bendigo store takes no responsibility for items can not work with computer items mentioned by customers. I had this with 2 motherboards. They were fit for gen 12 and 13. My cpu was gen 14. Now another problem. A psu. It is a sfx psu. Not fit for a full tower case. Bendigo centrecom manager wants a 15% discount for restocking that.
I don't recommend.
1. They charge credit card fees. The reality is that if we paid cash they would have to pay a huge amount to a security company to take it away. No other high value company passes these fees on.
2. Their reviews when you google them are BS. Look on Product Review and here and you get the real picture.
Shady company, shady management clearly.
Vote with your wallet. If we let them win then they win. This is not on.
I had really wanted to build my 9800X3D…
I had really wanted to build my 9800X3D upgrade with an Asrock X870E motherboard, I contacted ASRock who had advised me that a shipment had arrived at Centrecom.
I called Centrecom and spoke to the owner of the company, and that I had wanted to place a backorder on the motherboard that was coming in. The owner told me they don't have a shipment from ASRock and don't plan to sell their motherboards this year at all.
Disappointed, I purchased a different motherboard. However I found out a few days later that Centrecom had started selling the motherboard I had enquired about, and realised I had been lied to. For whatever reason the owner of Centrecom did not want to sell me the board, likely reasons I can think of is he couldn't be bothered taking a backorder, or is simply clueless about the shipment entering his company.
Given this experience, I would not be purchasing at Centrecom again in the future.
Holding refund ransom on unprocessed order
Ordered a custom PC via their website.
A couple of parts were listed as pre-order (delivery in 2-5 days).
After a week of not hearing from them, i contacted them. Was told parts wouldn't be in for another week. They offered me to cancel my order.
After a few more days of waiting and continuing to check the status of my order (which still said order hadn't even begun being processed). I decided to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere.
They seemed fine with me cancelling the order, but then a few hours after i cancelled my order i got an email from them saying my order was "ready for pickup" (3-4 days earlier than they said it would take to get the parts) and due to this i had to pay a 15% restocking fee.
I checked the status of my order online again and it still said it hadn't even begun being processed.
They keep saying my refund is being processed. Then the next day or two they send me another email says "partial refund".
I requested the refund 11 days ago and still haven't gotten anything back.
Terrible tactic holding my money ransom until i fold and accept a 15% restock fee on an order that wasn't even processed.
Steer clear
Good products, good prices, & speedy delivery
I've now had two purchases from Centre Com online & on both occasions I've been very happy with the quality, the prices & especially the speed at which I received my goods to rural Tasmania. Also, my emails were replied to quickly & helpfully.
They get 10/10 from me.
