I received a charge for $29.99 on my bank acct for a subscription that I did not approve. I had approved a purchase of $1.00 to see my test results, not expecting to be charged $29.99 and subscribed to a website that I don't need. Needless to say, I'll be asking for a full refund and cancelling the unwanted subscription.

I did not realize when I signed up initially (so I’d be able to take a test which was only $1.00) that Cerebrum automatically debited my bank account at a cost of $29.99 per month. Plus, they charged me twice in one month. They debited my bank on 10/29/25, 11/20/25, 11/26/25, 12/18/25 and 01/15/26.
Please help me get these charges reversed. My I’ve never even been on the site since 10/22/25. Please help. That’s $150.00. I’ve been in the hospital and not aware of these debits. Please.

As an 82 year old I was tempted to try this but found out I was a real loser. I found out that it was a subscription without ongoing value or use. My 86 year old spouse is in a nursing home & and we have no funds to squander on limited pensions. Amounts charged were 2x $.70 and 2X $44.99.This was on Feb.3/26. I have contacted Bank Fraud at local bank and also will publish this scam in the newspaper to warn of this. I have had to do this before so please refund charges or further consequences will follow. I was charged $29.99 on Feb 5, 2026, without clear consent. I contacted their support with my payment details and proof of their own confirmation email, but they keep denying my account exists. This is a common tactic to avoid refunds. I have already initiated a bank chargeback. Order reference available upon merchant request.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! They keep charging me even after I tried to cancel a subscription I didn’t know I signed up. It’s been over a year and they charge me $19.99 3 and sometimes four times a month. I’ve tried emailing to cancel and no luck. This is ridiculous and a scam.

I took an online IQ test through My IQ. Cerebrum is the parent company. I was charged $1 for the test but then I was charged $24.99 for a monthly subscription. I did not authorize this. Sent an email to MY IQ regarding this. Was told I would be refunded and subscription would be cancelled. However a charge was taken out for the next month so nothing has changed. I have been in contact with my bank and waiting to hear back. DO NOT trust this company. Terrible to run a scam like this. Hopefully my bank can handle this dispute.

Still haven’t received any answer about the refund im asking.
It will go to law suit and make this spam company closed down, it’s time!

Do not use this site. They charge you a £1 for your results and then lock you into paying £14.99 every 2 weeks or £29.99 a month. Their UI is very confusing particularly for my 90 year old dad who used it to test out his IQ. Trying to cancel it for him is proving very difficult - will have to report as a scam to the bank I imagine to get it cancelled. So many bot reviews on here as well - CerebrumIQ is the parent company which does the same thing.
EDIT: What reference are you asking for in your request? And why do you need my phone number? You're already clearly a scam why would I give you further details?

This company will make unauthorized withdrawals from your account if you purchase the one time IQ test. I did it for fun and now they are billing me $24.99 every month. Watch out. I’m looking into possible legal actions.

*** update 05.02***
on 22.01 I received a public response to my claim, and a refund was authorized, and approved – after staling for over 10 days, now they deny the refund.
This is a scam-adjacent/dark pattern practicev: no sign up to, or subscription information, just paid 2 x 0.47 CHF for a test. 2 other monthly payments from my bank account where thereafter made – I only noticed after seeing these unknown charges. The contact points and customer care are only automated responses, by "David", a bot, which much likely sounds like 2001's HAL, by stating that refunding my would be unfair to other users, but every complain is the same. Stay away, or learn the hard way!

I did not receive the promised IQ test. I am complaining about the
amount of 1 EUR. Furthermore, an unauthorized payment of
29.99 EUR was made. I did not register anywhere, I wanted only 1test for 1EUR but I don't even have that. I request a refund.

This is a thieving scam. I signed up to nothing and just paid 2 x 50p's for tests. These rouges then took 3 monthly payments from my bank account without any authorisation. The contact points and customer care are only automated responses. You get nowhere. No uk address or phone number. Beware.

Got ripped off. Was suppose to charge $2 and charged me 25. I was under the impression that it was only $2 or I would’ve done it. This was for the results for an iq test. I am in a nursing home and on Medicaid. I used PayPal clc8191@outlook com.
Thank you

Disgusting company scam you out of your money
Also disgusted that trust pilot gives them 4srars that should be on minis 5stares
The refund they have agreed is £1 not the £29.99 they have taking
Just a ploy to say to trust pilot they have refunded but they have not

This is a formal Cease and Desist notice to Cerebrum IQ / MindOrbit.
You have charged my account twice for ₦26,308.47 and ₦26,364.24 without authorization. You previously acknowledged the refund was approved under reference AHMADAYINDE603309, yet your support team (Dairo and James) continues to stall.
Wema Bank Purple Connect (Ticket #6212582) is now investigating these as unauthorized Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions. I am demanding the immediate reversal of the full ₦52,672.71 to the original payment method.
Stop the stalling tactics and process the refund today to avoid further legal and banking escalations

Cerebrum contacted me in 2025 and indicated they would correct the issue (that started in February 2025) and provide a refund. The charges did stop however, unbeknownst to me this fraud didn’t stop there. The charges only stopped temporarily. Based on information from the Bank, they changed their merchant information and began charging fraudulently again so the bank would not identify them and their fraudulent charges could resume. $387.99 charged as of today. I am contacting the Attorney Generals Office with my documentation and screen recording (captured months ago) of the blatantly deceptive and fraudulent user interface the company claimed wasn’t intentional. This is the most egregious and unethical web based scam I have ever personally dealt with. I can only imagine the sheer level of fraud this company is responsible for given the circumstances and number of reports with agencies like the Better Business Bureau.

I have requested a refund and cancellation of my subscription for two months and I continually am charged. I have asked for a refund and no response.

Cerebrum IQ is a scam. I paid for a one time 0.99 reading and have been signed up to a subscription I didn’t know I was signing up for. I have since been charged £20 from my bank account every two weeks for the last month. Contacting their customer helpline to ask for a refund just resulted in a refusal to refund and very rude customer service. Do not use.

I have decided to change my original review as I was contacted by the company shortly after my review went live - a full refund was very promptly received which is fantastic customer service. Thank you Cerebrum!
