Cestlavie Birmingham scam

After emailing on numerous occasions, I finally received a full refund. I rejected the parcel upon delivery and constantly threatened the company with reporting them.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish, you do not get what you are paying for. I wish I looked up reviews before purchasing as I wasted upwards of £60 on crap I cannot wear and will probably turn my skin green. Don't be sucked in by the sob story. AVOID! I emailed multiple times asking for money back but they obviously went unanswered. Very disappointed.

Cheap tats from China not even worth their 80% off price

This so-called Eileen keep pretending that she really cares and feels bad that the items I ordered wasn’t as expected, then offered 25% refund and I keep the items. I declined. Then I was offered 50% and declined. Her final offer was 75% refund and said if I’d still like to return them I need to post to an address in China. At this point I contacted my credit card provider NatWest, explained that they made up this Eileen who lost her husband and want to close the company so offered large discount, forwarding all emails communications, forwarding their website links and links to items I bought, and photos of what I received, forwarding this webpage link showing them there’s no happy customers and most of the reviews call them a scam, telling the bank that this is clearly a dishonest business and I don’t trust posting the items to China because they’re supposed to be based in Birmingham. I stressed to the bank that if they don’t offer me chargeback they’d be supporting their scam. Within a week or so the full chargeback arrived in my account. Then another week later I got contacted by Eileen (I didn’t reply to her last email with the 75% refund and return address in China) saying that she wants to do the right thing by giving me full refund and give me a positive experience and I don’t need to return the items. I didn’t reply to that email either, I think they got in touch because of the dispute I opened with NatWest and this might have made it difficult for them to continue their scam.

Don't touch these people

I ordered a necklace back in september via facebook page. Never again. Eventually I received a pair of earrings - why ?DER!!!!!
Have spent since then trying to get the correct item. After much delay in them returning answers to my emails I gave up asking for the item because it was a present and the event had passed. So, I sked for a refund. Guess what? no answer to emails. Finally yesterday, I sent an email saying that I was taking it further if refund was not forthcoming and lo and behold today I have been told that a refund is in the pipeline. Lets wait and see if it arrives eh???? They kindly let me keep the wrong item (earrings) which have promptly gone in the bin as they are so cheap and plasticky looking I'd be insulted to give them to anyone

SCAM

SCAM. Stupidly fell for the dead husband sob story…spent nearly £200. Received their first email about defected quality on a product and sorry for the delay (to cover the time delay as really shipping from China) and was suspicious then checked it all out on here.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:
Contacted my bank straight away, told them I since found out it’s a scam. They were really helpful. Told me to refuse delivery and the basis of the dispute would be either

- not delivered on time (which it wasn’t, 2 weeks versus 1 week in description) or
- below par quality (false advertisement)

In the meantime, I emailed ‘Eileen’ and said I knew they were a scam and to save us both time as i’d already raised a dispute with my bank - not to send me the goods, no reply.

When the goods did arrive, I refused delivery, got one email saying to contact courier due to delivery issue. I ignored.

Rang bank again they said dispute was resolved and closed and the money was back in my account the same day.

My bank were great but also they had done their own research and saw all the reviews etc so no need for them to ask me many questions.

Don’t order, but if you do, contact your bank straight away and refuse delivery. Worked well for me, relief!!

Scam company

Scam company. Similar to others, I had issues trying to return items that I was not satisfied with. Items looked cheap and not as shown on site. Had multiple emails backwards and forwards offering partial refund until I threatened with legal action. I then received my full refund. Stay clear

AVOID

AVOID. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is a scam. They draw you in with a sob story about Eileen in Birmingham losing her husband and having to sell all of her stock. The item received was not good quality. Tried to return as per their 30 day return policy. They would not accept the return and offered a max 25% refund. Finally agreed to accept return but asked me to send the item back to China. Feel an idiot for falling for this. AVOID

OMG SCAM site

OMG! What a scam.site and I 'feel' so stupid' for falling for it! Ordered an item s'posedly sold for £100's at a great reduced price 😉 should've seen that as a warning! BUT I fell.for it. Item arrive NOTHING LIKE the item advertised and when asked for a return and refund was 'offered' just discount for a future order!!! NO way ever order again! Then!! % refund and to keep. WELL I do not wanna keep as it is NOT as advertised so 'trading standards and the consumer act come to play 😉 YES can have refund. Hmmmm, only if sent to return address in CHINA!!! Where it will have come from originally! Cost of which prob outweighs the goods cost. Moral of this review 'trust ya gut instinct' I
usually do BUT caught this time 🙄 SCAM selling site only DO NOT entertain any business with

Avoid this Company at all cost. You don’t get what you ordered - not even close!!!!

Would not touch this company at all. I ordered a lamp that in the advert picture looked lovely, all glass and lead like a Tiffany lamp but what I got was a bit of yellow plastic shaped dog that had been hand painted in some of the squares. Wish I could add picture to show you. Don’t purchase from this company. Also, they are not in Birmingham, they are in China. It’s going to cost me half of what I paid to return it - joke!!!!

Report to action fraud

I stupidly bought from this website. A load of plastic jewellery arrived from China, definitely not gold or silver as advertised. I complained to them and they said they understand and offered me a 50% discount to which I declined. I kept asking for the return address and then they offered a 75% refund. I declined and asked for the return address again. Finally they provided it, every email was written like it was Eileen and they kept up the sob story. In the end because I didnt trust sending the jewellery back I accepted a 75% refund. I have however reported them to action fraud and hope to get the rest of my refund. No idea if this jewellery is safe to wear never mind sell on. Please dont fall for their scheme as they have other websites under different names such as Alice&Fred and cest la vie New York.

Scam!!

Do no order via the website, insta or Facebook.
Complete scam. I ordered a silver ring set, a cat ring and a bracelet bundle and received coloured plastic bundles. I opened a dispute with my bank after hearing nothing at all from the seller, low and behold a day after the dispute is open they reply asking for details about the issue, got the *this is not how we operate" speech and a half hearted apology. After sending photos they finally agreed to refund me.

Total SCAM

Total SCAM! I purchased two pieces, and the quality is nothing like what they promote on their website. I requested a refund, but instead they offered a voucher for another item with a 25% discount — which is ridiculous! I made it clear that I was requesting a full refund, but they said they could only give me 25% back. This is completely against their promotion and against consumer rights. I filed a dispute with my card company, and I hope this fake store gets shut down. They are fraudsters.
