Unprofessional communication, dishonest, incompetent

Ordered a chair, was told it would ship in 5 business days with a tracking number to follow. Never heard back. Had to chase them down 15 days later for a tracking number myself after finding a mystery door tag from FedEx on my door.

When FedEx attempted delivery and I wasn't called, I asked twice, directly and clearly, whether my phone number was on the shipping label. The founder, Tyler, dodged the question both times. First he sent a screenshot of a FedEx door tag. Then he told me FedEx doesn't usually call for deliveries. Neither response answered my question.

Luckily managed to catch the FedEx driver on the third and final attempt. He told me it was about to be returned to sender. Turns out Chairly put their own company phone number on the label instead of mine. FedEx had been calling Chairly's number at each delivery attempt. Chairly's own project manager later claimed these calls came "after business hours" despite FedEx coming midday.

After I let them know I had received the package and that FedEx had tried to call the number on the package at each delivery attempt, a project manager (not Tyler) emailed me confirming exactly this: FedEx had been calling their number, not mine.

The chair is fine. The experience of buying it from Chairly was terrible. Slow shipping, no proactive communication, and when they made a mistake that nearly got my package returned, they hid it instead of owning it. Buy anywhere else.
