Definitely the best quality glass and…

Definitely the best quality glass and by far the smoothest hitting pipe I’ve ever had! I am going to order a couple dozen of these pipes for everyone in the state of Connecticut to get a calm cool hitting experience along with a touch of nostalgia. Very intriguing colors and art! Highly recommend

Moroccan water pipe bowl.

Excellent product. Moroccan water pipe bowl works great. Needed a longer stem but they were not available at the time. I Adapted it to fit and is possibly the best thing ever purchased! Right On!

Lightening struck twice. 2 amazing pieces!

I ordered the ergonomic glass ash catcher a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t be happier. I liked it so much that I had to turn around and pick up a Gandolf ash catcher. What can I say, Chameleon knows their glass!

I’m super proud to buy American products whenever possible. I hope the employees at Chameleon know how important what they’re doing is. Keep on producing as long as you can…Thank you guys for keeping the glass blowing alive in the USA.

Great company, no issues

I checked Trustpilot before ordering from Chameleon glass. The reviews seemed mixed, but I took a shot. I could not be happier. The shipping was quick, and the item was exactly as described and pictured on the site. It was thoughtfully packaged, and even had a hand written thank you note in the box and a piece of Hi-Chew! Nice touch! The glass piece I ordered is perfect, even better than I expected. The price was reasonable. I will definitely be ordering again from Chameleon Glass.

Good product incomplete order

Like product. However, in reading other reviews, the product I ordered included a carry case for my glass pipe. When I inquired about not receiving a case, the company did not respond.

Jeff, The pouches are not part of the product, which is why they are not included in the product description. Chameleon has run promotions offering free pouches and lighters before, but they are not part of the product.

I've not run a promo since before the pandemic because the factories I was sourcing them from closed. They are now 3x more cost, so, we stick to lighters these days.
I provide support for the products. You emailed me on Saturday (closed), Monday is a long day after being closed on Saturday and Sunday, there is a lot to do. 11 hours worth. My apologies for not having time until today to respond to you.

The owner of this company didn't like my review, So he sent an email threatening me with "putting my lights out" amongst other threats to my life. Anyone running company and doing that to its customers should be put out of business and shut down. buy elsewhere.

Chameleon > Literally anyone else

The experience shopping with Chameleon Glass was 10/10. A very awesome glass blower emailed me to help me through any problems. Emailed ME first! Now that’s grade A customer service. My glass came perfect, with extra goodies, and right on time. I would recommend you buy with Chameleon before anyone else.

JA contacted Chameleon. He advised that he had dropped several pieces and that ours broke. Glass breaks in specific ways. If there was an inclusion or workmanship, those breaks are smooth. When you drop or crush glass, it is jagged. The photo provided was around 20 individual pieces of glass. We warrant workmanship and materials, we do not warrant drops. I explained that it looked like the larger piece had fallen on ours, based on the number of pieces. I offered a 25% replacement coupon. JA was mad and sent us several more aggressive emails, to which I ended the thread by suggested he buy a Pyrex measuring cup at WalMart, smash it in the parking lot and then go into customer service to get a refund.

No case no lighterI???

I've bought from this company for years and always had a great experience w product and they always sent a case for my pipe and a lighter w a sticker and a candy. I bought a pipe this year for my husband for Christmas and no case no lighter??? So I'm very disappointed that they went cheap, if I'd known I wouldn't of gotten a case I'd wouldn't of bought it through Chameleon.

1 Star because you only got the complimentary candy. Ok, that's a new one. Tamara, as you know because I explained it in the email, we had to stop giving away free Bic lighters and cases because of the expense after the pandemic. 2 of the 3 factories that made the cases closed, leaving one open, allowing them to triple the price. Bc's were never cheap to begin with, but they too have gone up in price. Instead of raising our prices like everyone else, we cut back where we could to try and keep out prices at pre-pandemic levels, which we have done. I don't call that 'going cheap'. Threatening to buy a knock off, probably from China, instead of a Made in USA products because you don't get enough free stuff? Thats what I call going cheap. Please return the piece to me, I would rather you did not have my work. I don't care that it is used. As soon as it is returned, I will credit your card.

Carefully read the reviews! Ken is a d-bag

After carefully reading all the reviews (mostly negative) I decided to go ahead and order it anyway. The checkout process was a little difficult/ trying to select the right pipe with a limited menu. I found the entire experience rather confusing (lots of pieces but not all are as available and the pictures aren’t accurate on the website)

I decided on the Gandalf hash bowl pipe, with a glass wand. To my surprise it arrived unbroken and with two pieces of candy. Anyway, I took it outside with a brand store bought chunk of full melt hash- dropped a piece in and began to heat the glass wand up with a lighter (as the website said) after my lighter started getting too hot I put it down, touched the hot end of the wand to the hash AND…. Nothing. The wand wasn’t hot enough. The hash got warm started to melt but no smoke was coming off of it. Now the wand was messy and the hash was wasted. The wand was too hot to get the hash off of it, but not hot enough to fully evaporate the stuck in gunk. I burnt it off and tried again. Same thing ^

I wait 24 hours and eventually find a torch from a gas station, excitedly take everything outside and begin to heat the wand with my new torch. This time the wand became slightly red hot. I slowly pressed the red hot end into the hash and started smoking this time but the hole where so high up above the bowl that I couldn’t get it all into the chamber (yes, the carb was covered) and much of it went up into the air. The wand cools off way to quickly as well, only making smoke for approximately 3 seconds (it was a good chunk of hash it should have had several hits) I also noticed much of the hash “ran away” from the hot wand and ran up- and into one of the glass holes, mucking up one of the three air holes.

*SIGH* I was hoping to find a simple hash pipe with little set up/ prep work involved. I don’t feel that this pipe was worth anywhere close to $54 (after shipping). It’s something I would expect from a “hemper” subscription box. I’m not happy with it but seeing how the owner responds to people- I’m not even going to attempt to get refunded/ return it. It will just sit in my closet and collect dust.

Trust me, just buy a dab rig.

Update* the owner proceeds to send me a personal email telling me how my payment didn’t go through therefore I must not have the pipe in question LMAO.

Yes my card wasn’t working. So I used a different card under my girlfriends name… WOW. Didn’t think of that did you? YES I got the clear, Gandalf hash pipe. No it doesn’t work. Yes I used a BIC lighter LMAOz this guy will think of every excuse in the book aside from accepting that the product wasn’t up to standard.

I already said I’d don’t contact you first^ learn to read, ken. I stayed olainly that I had no intention of contacting you because of how you reply/ react to your negative reviews. There is a reason you have less than 3 stars… more than half your customers are unhappy. Myself included. No, I don’t want another equally crappy pipe. No, I don’t want to communicate with you via your personal email.
And since you’re such a d-bag I’m changing my review from 2 stars, to 1.

As I said in the email to you, I use mine everyday and have full confidence in the product. You refuse to return it or send pictures of the issue (bowl shape), so I cannot help.

As you saw, your credit card failed (twice) because you used the incorrect address. The only reason I provided the information was for your own knowledge.

Hi Mark, Quite a bit to unpack here. Most importantly, you never tried to make contact. I cannot do much if I am unaware of the issue you are having. Review flaming me via blind side without even trying to make contact is pretty lame. Also, you did not actually buy this from me in the first place. Your attempted order failed twice. Maybe you bought it locally or used a friends card?

First, Earlier in the year, I switched the Hot Stick from Pyrex to Quartz because I had customer feedback that the 'Bic' lighters were not working as advertised. What I found was that most but not all Bic lighters work fine, but there are sooo many different lighters being used, many are garbage giveaways, not Bics. To avoid the issue, I switched the hot stick to Quartz so you can use a torch. The Bic will still work for low temp use, but, most consumers want clouds, so a higher temp/torch is a better call. I had adjusted that on other vented models but missed updating the website for the product you purchased, which is my fault. I've updated it now that you have brought that to my attention.
I don't know if you used someone elses card, but the reason you were struggling to place the order (that ultimately failed) is because you need to provide an accurate address for shipping and billing. You attempted the order twice, both were declined. I am happy to provide you with the screenshots, but you already know this.
Because I made a mistake on the description, I tried to pull up your order to send you a shipping label to get the piece back for training purpose. The carbon push tool wears out and needs to be shaped to push the bowl so it is identical to the Hot Stick. You indicated you had received a bowl that was not suitable for the shape of the stick.
Even if you bought it somewhere else, I still warrant our work and am happy to replace it or swap it out for a different vented model if you want something more simple like the shorter Glenn's Briar (sku 143), all you need to do is follow the return process: Send it back referencing your order number. It's always best to send the requested email to support@chameleonglass.com to describe your issue so I can better address it. Your call.

Pipes that waste your time, money, and smoke.

They poorly produce thin pipes that waste your smoke by hitting very badly due to much too small restrictive holes. The proprietor, Ken, is a narcissistic a-hole who blames his failure to produce decent pipes on the customer. Do not buy from them. They are no longer trustworthy and produce mostly poorly fumed trash. You can find much better for much less elsewhere.

BT ordered a Gigantic Gandalf. Because the GG is a very uniquely shaped product, the product information for the GG is clear to include the dimensions in RED text on the product photo and the written product description. BT sent us a very aggressive email about the GG being too big. Our standard response is the same with all customers, 'send it back clean and we will credit your card'. That was not goo enough; BT felt that we should pay the shipping back. If a product is defective, or does not perform, we send a shipping label and either credit or replace the product. If it arrives broken (glass sometimes does), or is stolen, contact Route and have them claim the shipment to receive a free replacement. Even if you ignore everything on the website about a product, you can still return it, but we're not going to pay the shipping, because we already payed for the shipping For those of you reading this, take a moment to consider a purchase from your local smoke shop. Do they take returns at all, or are all sales final? I've been to a lot of smoke shops in my 30 years in this business and still have not visited one without a sign for All Sales Final. So, since customers cannot physically review a model before purchase, we do what we can to provide easy order/easy return but we draw the line at free shipping on "I decided I did not like this" kinds of returns, that's all. We're a small, family owned glass pipe manufacturer actually making pipes here in the USA, not Amazon.
Now, to address BT's reasoning for the reader of this review:
I am a narcissistic a-hole based on one email response?
BT places one and only one order, but passes judgement on my entire line of goods?
Where else did BT find a Gigantic Gandalf? Nowhere, no one makes anything like it. Amazon/China won't make them because of the shipping cost. The few remaining Made in USA companies making glass pipes won't make a model like this either; they are difficult to properly package and expensive to ship.

I have been working with chameleon…

I have been working with chameleon glass for just over 10 years, early on I was paid low wages to pump out 50 pieces a day as a mandatory quota to keep my job.
the pipes I made were sold for exponentially more, but I love blowing glass so I accepted it.

After some time and when I had gotten all my own equipment I began contracting for chameleon from home, where I would get $5 a piece for what he sold for $20 and $10 for pieces that sold for up to $36 (this is a generalization and not trade secrets).
I was happy to give him such a good deal because I was blowing glass again it was a great deal because I was now paying for materials, fuel and shipping for pieces.
I found later that the amazing deal he was getting on pipes wasn't enough, he began lying to me about when payday was ultimately delaying payment for months at a time.
Being lied to, gas-lite, and eventually paid without any paperwork many times like a roll of the dice if i was gonna get a break down of pay and the numbers not adding up!
I dealt with this for about 3 years having to work many other jobs to survive.

Recently we got a large order where like always had to pay for fuel out of pocket and spend weeks hyper focused on getting the order out quickly and with good quality.
I was told I would be paid for the order in 10 days.... the time comes with no communication and I'm told he hasn't been paid yet after i reach out and ask... so I cant get paid and he cant tell me when I get mine.

Well.... 30 days go by and I finally get a check with no paperwork explaining why its only half of what he owed me (par for the course trust me!)
I text him to find out what the deal is and he says "that's all the first quality pieces he got from me"...... My first thought is "If that's true why didn't you tell me something in the 30 days? you knew I was waiting!"

But its not true!!!!
He sent me the "so called" 2nd quality pieces along with $600 worth of eyeball pieces.....

He told me to make these eyeball pipes (optometrist) using a washed out red for the veins, which he sold me the color!!!!
When I brought the washed out color to his attention he reassured me (fact) that it would be fine and to continue using the bad color so I did, in fact i bought the rest of the b.s. batch!
After delivering them he ignored them for 3 months!!! went back on his word (fact), he kinda danced around it every time I would beg him to pay me!
Instead of paying me for them in any reasonable time he asked "do you want me to look at those?" at this point I was fed up with the lies, gaslighting and 3 months it took (of course I want you to pay me for those, like you said you would months ago!)
so I told him to send them back if he cant stand by his word and pay me for them, so he sent them back, I took it as a refusal to pay or play nice, rather have my pipes than months of more non truths!

In the package he shipped other than the stale optometrists I only had 38 so called seconds on the order in question if they were actually bad than fine (4 were reasonable 2nds the rest were fine trust that!) I only get $6.37 each for those so it didn't even close to add up to the money he still owed me!! (81 more pipes, probably sitting in a box on the floor if honesty isn't the problem but negligence is)
When I messaged him about the continued problem he GHOSTED ME!!!
At this point "Chameleon is a liar" at least to me, and until he pays me or returns the "alleged" 2nds he is also currently stealing from me (in my opinion).
This guy takes advantage of his contractors and employees.
Don't buy his over priced pipes!

I guarantee the owner will respond and it will be an attack most likely not related to my grievance. You will be able to tell the type of person I'm dealing with by his method of response.
he might even refer to himself in the third person, this isn't a review from an employee, this is a review from a customer who bought tons of materials and used the service chameleon offered for distribution so it really shouldn't violate any community standards, he flagged this for being harmful or illegal but really its just the truth.
the idea he would attack my performance is just sad, I was recognized by pay grade and the pieces I made as a high intermediate pipe maker when I worked there, I don't want to get into the inner-workings of chameleon but I was not laid off for performance issues my performance was always above and beyond, it was my birthday and I was proud to show him my first ever beautiful and successful recycler, I was one of the last to be laid off in a season of layoffs ON MY BIRTHDAY.. after 4 years, It was so sad to watch chameleon fail so badly!
He is acting like i dont realize i have material costs associated with my pay except... i have been contracting for him for years , the fact is he ows way more than material costs!

I always thought these 'reviews' were for Customers to rate and review Products or Services. It says that clearly in the Trustpilot T&C's. I also know this because Owen from Trustpilot contacted me within 10 hours (Denmark) to offer me a Business Account to 'better manage' my ratings. Owen stated clearly that employees and contractors were not allowed to vent their unsubstantiated claims unrelated to my Products or Services, but I should still pay for the account. When I declined, Trustpilot removed the flag and let this review stay. Better yet, at the time of this second /final edit, Trustpilot allowed Nick to re-edit his comments 9 times. Remove knife, sharpen, re-insert. Every time I repond, Nick changes his story so my comments seem disconnected. To me, Trustpilot is not only allowing hostage taking and blackmail, they are fostering the behavior. That may be my opinion, but I have the emails to back ALL of it up. Oh well, such is life, this is the way big corproations actually work, so, no surprises; Money talks. You can draw your own conclusions. Now the second and last edit/response.

Nick's has a book of unsupported fictions on why my company has disadvataged him, a couple of points to interject on our behalf;

Nick was laid off because he could not follow product specification. As pipe makers get better with experience, they earn more complex designs that pay better. The easier, lower skill/lower paying designs are passed down to the new hires. Nick never moved forward. Catalog number "171 - Blam-O" is a simple silver fumed spoon with a head and mouthpiece wrapped with clear rod and melted in on 5" of 25mm x4mm pyrex tube with a finished weight of 3oz. The silver fume is applied so that it is present (slightly yellow) and still transparent to allow color change.

Nick produced pipes that weighed 50% of spec. Customers want heavy, thick pipes because it seems like sturdier glass.

Nick produced overfumed opaque pipes that would not change color. Customers who buy Chameleon pipes want them to change color.

Nick produced pipes that totally dismissed the design spec with some wrapped at the head and frit (crushed glass) at the mouthpiece. Customers want to receive a product that looks like the product in the catalog, otherwise, they (rightly) return them.

Since Nick chose to include a missive on me as a 'slaver' (btw Trustpilot allowed Nick to re-write that part after I flagged it) Nick is accurate in his telling that we have Quotas. Quotas set based on 30+ years of glassblower after glassblower after glassblower making a design. Both Diane and Travis, who did not take snake dab breaks every 15 minutes, easily made the #171, to spec, at Quote/Bonus quantities. Quotas are set based on model complexity, the matching skill level, raw materials cost and yes, time required for an average pipemaker to make one product divided into a normal 8 hour workday. I can't remember a time I input a bonus for Nick. Nick never could, for a number of excuses/reasons, make quota.

And therefore, Nick never progressed past simple pipe making. Worse yet, what to do with all of his seconds and defects/rejects from Quality Control. Stagnant skill + Massive cost of unsaleable product = Laid Off.

Nick reappeared about 18 months ago, and wanted to be a contractor. I don't have to accept his off spec work and he can work whatever hours that suit him best. That'll work! Nick's first production shipment was still Nick pipes, well, actually worse. The ripped paper bags with crayon writing as his invoices, the grocery bags wrapped in duct tape instead of a box, and then, the bird feces covered pipes.

To directly address the untrue comments about money, Nick fails to understand he had to pay for his raw materials (I supply at my cost) with a credit card or a deduction and why: Pipes - Raw Materials = Payment Amount.

Finally, Nick wanted a birthday present. I need money, 'just take the rejects' and pay me. Quality does not observe Birthdays.

They are a good loyal company

I really like the bowl that I found online but it did not work for my bong but that's nobody's fault the owner went out of my way to help me out and showed me respect even when I was having anxiety and cared about my needs. I recommend them if you want someone will that will take the time to help you out in difficult times as well when you are nervous about something. They really go out of their way to troubleshoot an issue and work with you I am very satisfied that Ken was such a good owner to take care of me. You are in good hands going with this company. Thank you so much Ken for everything you did!

Hi Tiger. After the emails, I am a bit surprised at the 1 Star. For the record, my company made a mistake. You ordered a 14mm Female model, but you received an 18mm Female model in error. In a perfect world, I would have thought a simple "I got the wrong size" would have taken much less time for both of us. You'll be receiving the correct size tomorrow.

We exchanged 5 photos. There was no damage to be seen, and the product is not defective. If you felt that the time and service I provided was inadequate and really warranted a 1 star, may I request that you provide accurate information to begin with in the future. Clearly, an 18mm fitting is too large for a 14mm fitting, it would be noticeable loose. Had you said ANYTHING about a sizing issue, or it not fitting right, I would have been able to diagnose the problem far more quickly than 'its defective'.

Unlike the china glass rig you purchased elsewhere (that did not provide you with an appropriate flower bowl piece in the first place), our items are still made by hand in the USA ... and when a customer states it is defective, I try to find out why so we can improve our product for future customers. No good deed goes unpunished these days, sorry for trying harder than your china website.

I thought i was ordering a hash pipe.

Website is misleading as i thought i was ordering a hash pipe.

the description reads:

"We have chosen to include a unique bowl selection on one of the -Aragorns Briar Glass Pipe models; an old school Hash Bowl. We skip the bowl hole at the bottom of this bowl and put vents instead."

It goes on to read "Select the ‘Clear’ photo showing the hot stick for this bowl option"

but no where did it mention that the clear version is the only version available for hash pipe. I selected the color changing silver fume version and received a flower pipe, not a hash pipe.

the pipe they sent me feels cheap and light weight (34 grams, not even an ounce and a half), i have sent numerous emails to get a refund which have all been ignored.

Buyers beware, this company does not honor their return policy.

Their return policy states:

If you read the excerpt you have used in your own submission above, it (and my website) clearly states that to receive the pipe you wished to receive, to select the clear version. I am sorry that was not clear enough for you. I'll try and re-write that to make it more understandable for future customers.
As far as the week to respond, my wife and I are here on a Saturday (today) to return the support requests from the week. Unfortunately, Arizona has been hit pretty hard by this Covid in January of 2022. I have been down 2 staff in the office and 3 in the studio for the last few weeks and some of the support responses are in fact lagging, my apologies. You will receive your requested RMA number within the hour.

Good company, Beautiful Glass work!

Initially had trouble placing my order online and the team at Chameleon Glass was very responsive to my communications and were able to quickly solve my issue. I ended up placing my order and the shipping was very quick. Once my order arrived, I opened the box to find the most beautiful American made glass work I’ve seen in a while. The worst online purchase experience…

The worst online purchase experience I've ever had. The piece was over priced and what they sent me didn't resemble the website picture. Their rep, Ken, admitted so much in writing. Unprofessional to the point he actually cursed at me in an email response. Avoid Chameleon Glass at all cost.

Hello Aaron. Still looking for that freebie, huh? Lets see, where did we leave off? Oh, yes, you were not pleased that the model you purchased 8 years ago was different than the model you received in October of 2020. I explained that new blowers make different models and that I would be happy to provide a selection of available units to swap for you. I sent two sets of photo lineups of 5 different units for you to choose a swap piece, which you declined any to select. I offered you full credit upon return of the unit you were not pleased with. You responded: "My time is more valuable than that and I should comp you another piece of sh*t that you will just give away anyway". As you know, all of this is on email, you being the first to 'curse' in that thread. I have a great idea, why don't you post ALL of the email thread for everyone on Trust Pilot to read and let them decide who is the unprofessional party?
