1 star Trustpilot review

Rating: 1 star

I am leaving a 1 star review based on my personal experience as a long time customer. I have worked with domains and hosting platforms professionally for over 15 years, and this was one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a registrar and hosting provider.

The platform feels outdated and unreliable. Basic domain management tasks were often more difficult than necessary due to bugs and inconsistent behavior in the control panel.

One of the most serious issues involved domain renewals. On multiple occasions, after renewing domains, they did not show as renewed in the system and continued to appear expired or pending. I had to contact support just to confirm that renewals had actually gone through. This should not happen with a professional registrar and caused unnecessary stress when managing active domains.

Another major drawback was the lack of self service domain controls. Important features such as auth codes and domain lock settings were not easily accessible and frequently required contacting support, which added delays for tasks that are normally self service elsewhere.

Customer support interactions were also disappointing. Responses felt rigid and impersonal, with little flexibility or willingness to accommodate even basic requests, despite being a long time customer.

After dealing with these issues for an extended period, I transferred all of my domains to another registrar. Since moving, managing renewals and domain settings has been significantly smoother.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ChannelIslandHosting.net and strongly suggest comparing alternatives.
