I cant thank Karen and the wedding team enough for delivering the most amazing wedding day for me and matt. The day was perfect and ran smoothly. Every single one of our guests couldn't believe how outstanding the food was. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Channels you have exceeded our expectations and more. I would absolutely recommend the retreat at channels the night before the wedding. It has everything you need, you are able to stay there up until your ceremony. Thankyou for everything. We held our business 20th Anniversary celebration at the Essex Barn at Channels Estate. Can't thank Paul and his team enough for a fantastic day / evening. Communication was great from initial booking through to party time. Special thanks to Eloise, Karen and Charles who dealt with all challenges and requests with ease and professionalism and nothing was to much trouble. The service throughout dinner was exceptional and the 3 courses an absolute delight well done to the chefs and kitchen team. Will definitely be back, and fully recommend Channels Estate as the venue to hold your special occasion whatever it may be.

As a wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing memories at The Essex Barn on multiple occasions and I have to say, it is truly one of the most stunning wedding venues I have ever had the opportunity to work at. The surroundings are simply breathtaking and provide the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful, romantic and timeless images.

The ceremony garden is an idyllic location for tying the knot. The pavilion, surrounded by antique wooden pews, is set against the magnificent Essex countryside and provides a truly breathtaking backdrop for the couple's special day. The tranquil Channels’ surroundings, with its extensive grounds, fountain, lily pond and avenue of mature trees, are a photographer's dream come true. I have been able to capture beautiful and natural images of the couple and their guests, making for a truly memorable experience.

The 17th century thatched Essex Barn is an absolutely stunning wedding venue. The venue has been beautifully restored and is full of character, making it the perfect place for the couple to exchange their vows in front of up to 100 of their closest loved ones. The interior is simply magnificent and provides a warm and intimate feel, making it the perfect location for a truly romantic ceremony.

As a wedding photographer, I was thrilled to hear that The Essex Barn is fully licensed to host civil ceremonies for both opposite and same-sex marriages under the 1994 Marriage Act. This makes the venue a truly inclusive and accommodating space, perfect for couples of all backgrounds.

The newly refurbished outside garden, a beautiful extension to The Essex Barn, is the perfect space for serving canapés and reception drinks. The secluded wedding garden provides a fantastic space for live music, children's games, and photo opportunities. The stunning country views are an incredible backdrop for capturing memories of the couple and their guests, and the intimate feel of the garden makes for truly special and unique images.

In conclusion, I highly recommend The Essex Barn as a wedding venue. From the stunning ceremony garden to the beautifully restored 17th century thatched Essex Barn, to the newly refurbished outside garden, every aspect of this venue is designed to make the couple's special day truly unforgettable.
