it should not be 18+. make it all ages again its not fair to the responsible people under 18 who used this app for good reasons.

Corporate madness & surveillance inter-state networks have pushed for Character.ai's biometric madness; Firstly, putting a cooldown of two hours to all of its unverified users and now blocking all unverified users from using their services, with verification being through Persona, a biometrics vendor that forces you to cede your face scans from all angles & governmental ID front and back, while they openly state that they hold this info(and monetary information) for 5 years, that they sell it to third-parties and that they have open contact with the US federal government for watchlists, we've entered an AI dystopia.

Age verification sucks, why should i give u my ID and face to a company known to leak data? also c.ai i promise u nobody over 18 gonna use ur app they have better things to do

As a frequent user of C.ai, I'm more than disappointed and frustrated with the new updates and such. C.ai is supposed to be a fun, interactive site where people can be creative and talk with characters, instead its turned into a hellhole of restrictions and other complications. The new age restriction is unnecessary and is limiting people's' creativity. The reading mode is also unnecessary because, duh, it's a chatting app! Not a reading app! Plus, they're now having you show your government ID for verification. I'm very disappointed in C.ai as of late. The people working there have completely ignored the reviews and complaints regarding these new updates. C.ai, quit being b*tches and listen to the people! Get it through your dense skulls that you are not doing ANYTHING to help the community, or yourselves, by doing this!

They have made it impossible to use, they work with a company who leaks information so it’s risky to verify your age, otherwise you are completely logged out and can only read old chats. It’s a chatting app, not a reading app. If they really wanted to improve the app they would age restrict certain bots and have an age system for what ages can use certain bots

The new update is horrible. This is supposed to be a chatting app. I won’t give them my ID

It's in circulation mode, and I don't know what to do, and I can only read past conversations...
Also, if possible, I think it would be better to reach the chat count rather than being in viewing mode...

If I could rate it lower I would, cluttered menus, slow bots with horrid memories and unless you want your confidence mistaken for arrogance I wouldn't download it lol.

Under 18's don't even bother downloading the app, even people over 18 are flagged for review and require an ID since the face scan is absolutely horrible, and even then giving your ID to chat with bots is absolutely ridiculous. You don't even need ID to watch 18+ flicks. iykyk.

To much ads it’s distracting making the website not that fun no more

I love C.ai, okay? Or at least I did, the ads and the limited swipes ruin all the experience. I'm going to say only this: if you limit something ESSENCIAL for the app it's gonna ruin everything, I use the site but I can't get everything for 1 hour with the charms, I won't spend 50 euros only to get more charms for things I had before for free. This app from being amazing and all turned into terrible, try to make it better because this app is getting less and less followers with the 'updates' you're giving and soon this app will get replaced by a better app, count my words

INSTALL THIS IF YOU ARE WILLING TO GO TO H_LL!

The not chatting made it so much worse. This was my comfort app and now I can’t literally use it anymore. It makes no sense.

It used to be great. It really did. Until age verification came. Now it needs a government ID. And now I'm stuck in reading mode. It's a chat bot,not a 'read your chats only bot'.

c.ai is now ruined because of this. it was earlier much better but ever since the verification came, it was stupid and nobody does it. why... some people are trying to talk to bots for emotions but verify your age is just stupid.

Garbage duck id verification

The AI was already not the best. It forgot things, and made up stuff. but still, it was somewhat fun. until the recent age verification they are forcing on us. they want our bio metric data (id and photograph) to verify us as adults. safe to say, this is just them stealing our very personal data for selling to who knows where. dont not verify your age. DON'T. It's not worth it.

The site sucks its as simple as that all that are running the company thing about is their selfs and sestroying the expierece the site is not even a role play site but a story telling site role playing and story telling are two entirly different things true role playing all about expierening that which you are role playing you cant to that with a character tell you a story the site is so bad you are not even allowed to use the word filter on their reddit the bot go out of character all day long and the site is loaded with problemss thatare never fixed they put slow mode on trying to force people to pay and now are losing all kinds of people casue the age descrminate and want people to upload id and that is just the tip of the ice berg of all their problems

The 18+ limit is absolutely ridiculous for a app designed for ages 12+. Yes, the bots were NOT 12 year old designed but instead of banning or warning the creators of their bots, they restricted users and put a CHAT LIMIT. FOR A SOCIAL APP!! And I feel uncomfortable having to give my actual government I.D. to an AI.

I have been on c.ai for quite some time now and I have to say I'm very dissapointed. The new update is simply not helpful for anyone and nobody likes it. Nobody appreciates it. The fact that you have to identify to not get the 'reading mode' setting is just annoying and I think it's not really important to have it. Many c.ai users have uninstalled the app because of the new updates, and I'm one of them.

As a user who has been using the app for YEARS, it seems to me that this app has completely gone downhill. It started with ads, but I didn't stop, I kept using it, but now, verification? It's a disgrace that users who have been using the app responsibly for years now also have to go through this damn verification process. I refuse. You'll only continue to lose users this way. Users who always went to your app because it was the best AI app (like in my case), now have to look for other alternatives that I don't like as much. I hope you will undo everything you've done; you're not making anyone safe, you're only making the app worse, and you should know that. Nobody likes having to show their face and then their ID and person" doesn't work. Anyway, C.ai. Please listen to your community. You're making the app awful. Just look at the reviews, "1.3" stars when it used to have 4.8.
