They WILL find a way to scam you

I booked a cruise for the wrong date. Within only minutes of receiving the confirmation, I called. They couldn’t transfer the fee to another date and to cancel would be $100 charge. I think this is extremely shady business practices not to mention horrendous customer service. This company is out to scam people, plain and simple. Also if you look closely, and compare every detail of the reservation and offers, you can get the same rate if not better by booking directly with the cruise line. Do NOT use Cruisewise, CheapCruises or any of those companies as they are all affiliated. Just look at all the other complaints with the BBB, Google, and other review sources.

No response on OBC

We booked our cruise with cheapcruises.com for January 21,2033. One of the perks was a $100 OBC. We had the option to use on board or get a gift card when we got back(4-6 weeks). The credit wasn't put on our Carnival account and we haven't received a gift card. We have sent agent several emails and left messages. No response. My friend had a cabin next to ours. Same thing. She has called and emailed too. No response.

I wish I could give it zero stars

I wish I could give it zero stars! I just called the one 800 number because I received a flyer from them and the guy immediately started asking me all these questions that I had no idea how to answer like what what ship I wanted. I said I don’t know I just got a flyer from you guys so I’m just looking at that and he said very irritated“Jesus Christ” and then put me back into their system! I didn’t even talk to him for more than 10 seconds! I literally cannot believe what just happened! But, after reading all these other reviews, I can see why this happened. Pathetic.

Beware when booking withCheapcrusies.com.

Beware when booking with Cheapcrusies.com. My booking agent was wonderful, the process was pretty easy, and the price was good. However, they advertise that you will get a $150.00 credit, but that was not the case for me. After I booked our cruise, I asked about the credit and was told since we didn't book 21 days in advance there wasn't enough time for them to alert Princess Cruises for them to issue the credit. This made no sense to me since we live in the 21st century and with a click of a button the credit could have been added. When I spoke with a supervisor, I was told I should have read the fine print before booking. I did go back and was not able to find that information. At least it was included on the link advertising the $150.00 credit. Hopefully, the rest of our trip will go well.

lying employees and careless company

So after spending literally 8hrs on the phone we got our cruise booked, had to make a change and then the agent lied to us and stuck in the 1st deck of the ship. We spent many more hrs on the phone only to find that Carnival and cheap (ass) cruise dont care about their customers. Book if you wana be a fool

They will mislead you to get your business

I booked a cruise for Europe that is 6 months away, however, when applying for Visa I was denied. So I had to call and change the cruise, well in advance of the 90 day notice required by Royal Caribbean. However, CheapCruises wanted to apply a $100 fee for cancellation even though the cruise line was ok with the cancellation. It says on their website, if you book another cruise instead CheapCruises will waive the $100 fee... which is a lie. I tried to book another cruise and they said the $100 cancellation fee will still be applied, even though the cruise line will not charge.
Avoid using this scam site and just book directly with the cruise lines. Their website is misleading

I will never use this company again nor…

I will never use this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone, and what ever you do don't give them any money upfront before you decide. They are very pushy and If you put any kind of deposit and cancel with in any amount of time you can kiss that money goodbye. We were trying to book a cruise for our family and made a tentative reservation to hold the room while the other people in our party could decide if they wanted to go or not, but the dates didn't lineup. So we canceled the reservation 24 hours later. Then charged a $200.00 cancelation fee, the cruise was for August of 2023 9 months away. At least with the cruise line you don't get your money back but you can put towards the purchase of a future cruise. Not the case with the travel agency. So my recommendation is ask up front about deposits, and refund policies. Also it's better to use the Cruise line to book your cruise at least they actually care about the clients vacation experience and try their best to make you a repeat customer. I can't say that about cheapcruises.com. They charged me a $200.00 cancelation fee within 24 hours of the original booking. Really? I hope you enjoy the $200.00 you guys stole from me. Cheapcruises.com GFY!

DO NOT USE THIS WEB SITE

DO NOT USE THIS WEB SITE. I booked a cruise through cheapcruises.com. Little did I know that if you cancel for any reason they charge $100. Also we took out travel insurance. In the contract for travel insurance if you cancel after 10 days of purchase you do not get your money back. We have cruised 21 times and thought we’d try cheap cruises. BIG MISTAKE. They contact the cruise company to make the reservation you’re interested in. So you’re better off calling the cruise company yourself instead since they’re not giving you anything extra. Because we had to cancel our cruise even though it’s not for another 6 months from now, we are out $300.

I am done with cheapcruises.com

I am done with cheap cruises. We booked in November 2021. Our credit card then got hit for $700 in airline tickets. New card only used to purchase this cruise. Had 300 obc. Our ship got changed and they removed us from a handicap room. We change to a different cruise. Lost the $300 obc and they gave us $250 obc. We asked that we link to 2 other guests and have early dining. Ok they said done. Last night I went to make my final payment of $212.36 and found out we weren't linked and had no dining chosen. Our only option was late or your time. Both are unacceptable. No choice we have to chose. So I authorize my $212.36 payment. I get up this morning and find they charged $254.83. It took 2 days to get that straight through my bank. And my obc is now $75. I am done. I've been using cheap cruises for over 10 years. All my cruises have been booked through them. Not again. You will not cheat me again.

Arrogant and nasty customer service

These guys are arrogant, rude and not willing to stick to their words. We had a cruise reservation to Jamaica last April. Since the pandemic hit, we had to cancel the cruise. I got an email directly from a travel expert at this company stating that I am issued 125% of what I paid.

Now when I go to get the credits, they are arguing with me saying that I am looking for free money and I don't deserve that extra 25%. They were just talking nonsense saying that it was a mail blast, which is not true. The mail was specifically addressed to me and said 125% of what I paid. Then the person said, I did not specify any dollar amount. So, we cannot honor this.

My point was, say that I made a mistake by sending that email. Instead, they were trying to harass me for their mistake and insult me.

Even if I have to pay a few hundred dollars more, I wouldn't book through them. Such a nasty people working for this company.
