They gave me a rate of $258 a nite and when I put my credit card in, the rate they charged was $100 per night higher. They argued I did not have a screen shot of the lower rate and it was non-refundable. If I could give negative stars I would. SCAM!!!!

Overpaid!!!

I booked a room for my on April 22 2025 through this website. They charged us 204.24 CAN for our room. When we got to the hotel and stayed the night the next morning we had a receipt from the hotel for 139.49. I called cheaphotels.com and they said it was a mistake on the hotels end and I needed to call the hotel to get a refund. I called the hotel direct, they gave us a refund and said next time to just book direct because that's how third party websites charge you more. Lesson learned, don't use cheaphotels.com and just book direct to the hotel.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH

I booked a King suite at Holiday Inn and my reservation paperwork confirmed it. When I arrived at the hotel, they said the third party (cheap hotels) had entered it as a double and they couldn't change it even though they had an available suite. I called customer service and spoke to a non American call center agent and she was no help. Holiday Inn even tried to get her to change the booking on her end and she kept repeating the same thing over and over. Holiday Inn helped me and told me it would've been cheaper to book with them directly. I'm never using this company again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not guarantee your reservation, you will not have a room and they refuse to refund. I made a mistake in booking and immediately called them to cancel. They told me that I had to rebook with them, but they would not refund. Your booking is supposed to be completed within 48 hours. 4 days later after I posted my first complaint, the booking for the WRONG Place was confirmed. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

I called cheap hotels customer service…

I called cheap hotels customer service number 1-800-310-4953 @ 9:15pm EST from 202-948-8474... a female rep answered sounding so sleepy or tired. Which is no excuse to hang up on me . We were on the phone for 3 mins and she was very unprofessional to hang up on me. All I wanted was to confirm the incidental amount of the hotel I was staying at. I called back immediately and advised this to the male rep that answered. My advice to any and all reps out there..... DO NOT work customer service if you have attitude problems and too lazy to work. No job will pay your lazy a**es to do absolutely nothing.

Typical big Co. against the little guy!

Coming back from California after picking up my VW bus and it was getting late so my wife and I decided to stay in Las Vegas. Got on website a couple hours before arriving in Vegas and reserved a room at Cesar’s palace. When we got there and tried to park there was no place to park because the bus on the trailer was too tall to fit in their parking garage. I called immediately and was told they had no accommodations for my Trailer and bus. What do you do? There are no roads nearby to park on. Now it’s midnight and I’ve got nothing! Unhelpful hotel and no place to sleep. So we went to a hotel off the strip and was told they had one room so I took it. Once in our room I called cheaphotels .com to try to work out something. The only thing they gave me was the middle finger! They do not care about you, me or anybody! Just money! I’ve since tried to dispute the charge but once they have their grubby hands on your money they won’t give it up for any reason. I wanted to stay in the room I booked but through no fault of mine I was unable. Very disgusted in Cheaphotels and will never use again. And neither should anyone that wants to have a good experience because circumstances arise and that means nothing to them!

Beware of dirty hotels

I reserved a room thru this company and when I arrived at the hotel- the room was dirty and literally had little bugs in the bed. I freaked out and went straight to the hotel manager and demanded a refund because I wasn’t going to stay there after that and all he said to do was call and argue with cheaphotels- we’ll guess what after being on hold for an hour, the rep refused to do anything since it was a non-refundable booking. Iam so upset and disgusted that they are doing business like this! $76 plus deposit lost.

This company is horrible

This company is horrible. DO NOT book with them. I have called and held 3 times for over an hour each time. Their computers are either down or they speak no english or they refuse to communicate. I will never use them again. And I am disputing my charges. I have been overcharged.

2019 and 12 hours after making…

2019 and 12 hours after making reservation and getting confirmation (that states , no need to call you’re hotel, we’ve taken care of everything), I arrive at hotel tired and it’s late. No reservation on file???? Embarrassing considering there are other people in line. I have to call cheap tickets which is hard to find the number btw. Get it straight and then the hotel is required to call back which aggravated them (the hotel). So I had to endure the hotel staff being frustrated (in front of other guests, like it was a bother). Finally got all taken care of. Only saving grace was the hotel upgraded my room to a suite for my inconvenience. Thank you holiday inn. .

I will never use this site again

I will never use this site again. I booked 2 rooms a month in advance and had to pay for then up front. Then after our stay, the bill was almost $200.00 less than what I was charged for and the hotel states the difference is what Cheaphotels gets for their services and I should call the hotel up directly in the future for a better rate. I spoke with customer service at Cheaphotels and they confirm they don't offer up any refunds. Never again.

It was easy to make the reservation, but that's all

It was easy to make the reservation.
The hotel was not how it was represented online. I ended up in a VERY SKETCHY area.
Arrived at hotel and they did not have my name, they did not have my reservation, they were full and overbooked.
The woman ahead of me in line was trying to get her money back and get the heck out of there. I heard her telling the desk clerk she just wanted to leave as soon as possible.
I was given a hard time when I called cheaphotels.com and told them my story. They said they had to verify the information. (why would I lie about being left out in the cold, so to speak, without a room to check into?)
They called the hotel and no one answered. I was watching the desk clerk from my car. She was standing right there.
