So, looking for a service history on a vehicle, and after giving the reg, the site stated it would refund the cost minus the admin fee if no results.
Well, no results. Refunded. However... total price of £7.59, refunded £2.09. What an absolute racket.

When a service history check returns no records, our system automatically refunds the report cost minus the stated admin fee. In your case, the £2.09 refunded reflects the refundable portion after the admin fee, which covers the cost of running the check through our data providers.
