Responsibility and trust is important

When it comes to financial advice, insurance, and investments, trust is very important; trust is everything you have to rely on as a customer. We have experience with the owner of Checkpoint Finanz, which is important for you as a potential customer of this business. On July 29, 2022, the owner did not comply with the right of way in his large (maybe 10 tons) power boat. About two nautical miles southwest of the Swedish harbor Bua, the owner collided at full cruising speed into our small sailing boat. See the report from the Swedish Sea rescue company and the police report. The damages were quite extensive, with open fractures through our hull, demasting and damaged sails. We survived, but my wife was under deck, tumbling around, and was hit at several locations on her body. Unfortunately, my wife still has problems with the lower part of her back (hip). The owner was charged and convicted by the Swedish police (Kustbevakningen). Our vacation was terminated, and we had to leave the damaged boat and travel home. Since then, getting the boat repaired has been a fight and a major task. Many, many hours are spent. And it has taken eight months to get our sailing boat back. The owner of Checkpoint Finanz has the responsibility for the violent accident, but he still refuses to pay for the vacation days we lost, for the loss of access to our sailing boat, and for the days that my wife was on sick leave after the accident. This is not a responsible and trustworthy way of acting as a German visitor in our Scandinavian waters!
