Scam company with fake positive reviews
I backed this company as a french guy who was confident about a French kickstarter with a return policy stating that it is possible to return the products in 30 days. I ordered 5 of them. First it took months to be shipped, even if their kickstarter stated that the production was already in progress BEFORE the end of the kickstarter. I was a little mad but I can understand production issue, it is part of the game. It would have been better with a little bit more communications but this is what it is.
Finally the products arrived.
They arrived in an aliexpress like packaging (no cardboard), it was the first red flag. I have no problem about China factured toys. But I have a problem about the fact that the company do not even ships the product to their basement to test it before sending it.
I gave the koala (the stronger if I understand correctly their comments on trustpilot asking guys to order the koala if the others break) to my dog and it took him like 7 minutes to destroy it. 7 Minutes for the "strongest dog toy", what a joke.
I see that some comments are stating that the toy handle correctly if you remove it when the dog starts to chew it. Bro, what the hell? What is the point of a strong toy if you need to take if back when the dog is... playing? Be serious..
So after months of waiting, I have now a destroyed toy and 4 useless toy that I can't give to my dog because they will last only few minutes.
I contacted the company and after more than a week of silence, they came with the exact same copy/paste than other, saying that they are thankful about my feedback and they will try to make the toy better.
First of all, how can you say that? My feedback? Come on... You can't state this issue as a "feedback". The only purpose of the toy is not reached at all.
They totally lied about it in the campaign, because there is NO WAY that the product I received was tested. Even a fork would destroy the toy easily.
Second, they are ignoring their return policy that THEY wrote themselves.
Finally, they are writing fake comments on kickstarter and trust pilot. They state that this is false but come on guys, be more creative. Only new accounts, no other comments, and positive comments came only after your last kickstarter news that say "thank you for the good comments".
So right now, like many others guy, I will take them into justice as they are ignoring me and their return policy.
I recommend everyone to do this and please, don't buy their bad toys. Even a low price toy can survive more time.
Edit after their answer:
"It’s unfortunate that you’ve chosen to escalate things in this way despite our ongoing conversation". What they call an "ongoing conversation" is, me, waiting for 2 weeks without any answer while they're still advertising their product. And finally an answer when I post a review here.
Return policy: You are not clear at all here. What you said in email is: You wanted a return policy even for the backers, you wrote it, but now that you know that legally you don't have to, you go back. And now you ask ME to find a LEGAL solution to make you accept the bad products, what a sick joke.
There are no false accusation on my review. Except for the "fake reviews" part, but be real, it is easy to see that they're fake, I can prove everything.
Anyway, don't buy to this scam company.

I have a small dog and she’s not even a big chewer, but she destroyed this toy within a day. Totally shredded. There’s a difference between “developed for longevity. Not As Durable As Advertised – Disappointing Experience
I was really excited to receive my CHEEKY dog toy after backing it on Kickstarter. It was marketed as “the strongest and safest dog toy,” made from military-grade ballistic polyethylene fibers and built for rough play. Unfortunately, my dog tore it within less than five minutes of use.
For a product that claims to be nearly indestructible, this was a huge letdown. I expected it to last much longer, especially given the price and the hype around its durability. I reached out to the company for a refund and am waiting for their response.
If you’re looking for a truly tough toy for your dog, I’d recommend exploring other options. This one didn’t live up to its promises.

Worst dog toy I’ve bought
This product wasn’t worth it at all… within 10 minutes, my dog ripped off its ear. Within a day, she chewed multiple holes in the main body and the fluff inside was falling out. I’m not sure how “indestructible” it can be when it’s destroyed within a day. I thought I could trust a company to create a reliable product for my dog, but boy was I wrong!!

Absolutely waste of money
Absolutely waste of money. And the Kickstarter was a complete scam. Be warned. Edit- ok cheeky please tell everyone why on November 9th 2024 you claim to be already in production then after collecting the money in December all of a sudden you had zero toys and there was no delivery that was stated. And it doesn’t take a month and a half of toy production to realize the needle and thread don’t work so don’t give at lame story. Name the labs and universities you partnered with. What actually tests were done. Why when production was done in china did you not test a sample before going into full production. I’ve backed lots of kickstarters. This was a scam. Prove me wrong and tell all your backers the information I am looking for. I guarantee you won’t because I have asked repeatedly for this and you never answered once. So don’t blame me for your inferior product.

The toys are very sturdy. I have two bull terriers who normally shred stuffed toys, but the Cheeky toys are still going strong after a couple of weeks.

Ordered on Kickstarter. My order was delayed 5 months because "the fabric was so strong it broke the sewing machines lol" - finally got here. I was impressed that such a "strong toy" would be as soft as it was, until my dachshund / corgi mix had the toy destroyed in 5 minutes.
No customer service response, they seem to be flooding Trustpilot with good reviews when it is definitely a dropship scam.

My dog, Sheikah is a "Ausky" (husky X red heeler) and she loves destroying her toys, something about pulling the fluff out of them just does it for her but as someone who has to clean up after her... Well I was less enthused.
So when I saw Cheeky being advertised on Kickstarter with toys claiming to be less easy to destroy, I was eager to try it out. I haven't been disappointed so far as it has been a good two or so weeks with her new Koala toy and it remains in one piece despite her attempts to rectify that. The toy itself is made so nicely that I felt a little bad about giving it to her, it really feels like something that you get for a child to love and not for a dog to attempt destruction.
Shipping was fast for me as well! I love in Australia so I'm accustomed to things taking a little while to arrive so when it arrived a week later, I was pretty pleased. I would and will happily buy another toy from Cheeky in the future and I'm looking forward to what other toys they'll make!

Utter rubbish. The toys lasted less than 10 minutes and I would strongly avoid this company. No response from emails,.no refunds and no explanations.

A huge amount of the backers are upset as the company claimed the product was being made on France, yet Made in China is all over the labels.
The company will not communicate other than a cut and paste reply, other than on here which they blame your dog for.
I stick by my original comments.
Avoid and don't give them your money.

The response from Celia at Cheeky was that the Kickstarter was to help R&D and that's why the products aren't lasting. However, revisiting the page and seeing the Risks tab, they state on there that the testing is complete and ready to go to production. So, more lies.
