Fantastic experience with an exceptional guide who was both knowledgeable and humorous. The tasting session we had at the conclusion was delightful. It was disheartening to hear some remarks from someone who was lactose intolerant, and those should really be removed.

I am trying to book a trip with my class because I have heard a lot about you here in my country, France. Are you still offering this opportunity?

Great tour, very good guide with lots of knowledge and sufficient humour. Of course the tasting at the end was lovely. Disappointed with comments from the individual with lactose intolerance, which should be deleted.

PROBABLY WOULD NOT GO AGAIN

I have always been a cheese lover but never knew how it was made. When this tour was published I thought why not give it a go. I was very impressed at the organisation that took place in order for us to tour a working dairy, especially with COVID. When we arrived there was easy free parking and a warm welcome by Steve the tour guide. He offered us PPE and as we were early, a refreshment. I don't think there was much Steve didn't know about cheese making and although he must have been asked a thousand times the same questions, he took his time to give us a full explanation. When I booked I thought it would be a quick tour of the dairy and some cheese nibbles, how wrong was I. I would have very happily paid double and highly recommend adding this to a place to visit in 2022.

We had an outstanding tour. Even before we arrived, Steve was very accommodating, suggesting different times and days that might work. The tour itself was great. We donned our shoe-covers, hairnets (even the baby got one, much to her delight) and white coats and had fun looking around the premises. The information was pitched at exactly the right level for our group. We then enjoyed some generously portioned samples whilst listening to more interesting stories and facts about cheese. We were also offered accompaniments like chutneys and biscuits and Steve even brought out another cheese he thought we might like based on our comments. Everyone in the group had fun despite ranging from baby and student to adults and grandparents. We did buy some cheeses at the end but felt absolutely no pressure to do so - they were just too delicious to resist!
