Great Product - Fntastic Support
My wife gave me my Joule for Christmas and I LOVE it. There is no better way to cook frozen veggies, they come out full of flavor and not water logged. Eggs, hard boiled or poached, are easy and come out perfectly every time. Steaks are excellent when started Sous Vide and seared on the barbecue.
A few days after Christmas, I re-heated some medium rare prime rib. It was just as good and full of flavor as it was on Christmas Day. Since then I have used it to re-heat other things with excellent results.
ChefStep’s customer support cannot be beat. A quick email to them gets a response, most times, within minutes or early the next business day. The helped me trouble shoot my first unit, which was defective. No matter what the question, via email or phone call, I have always gotten a cheerful and correct answer.

I have a very positive experience with the Chef Steps soys viede. Received nicely package and in a timely fashion; app works great and has many helpful hints; machine keeps the water circulating and at an constant temperature; and the food tastes great.

I have used with three different phones…
I have used with three different phones and often have connectivity issues. When I purchased I read there would be a way to program manual use, so the button would recall previous temps, but it's never turned on by pressing button. Also, I wish the timer would start automatically as I often put the food in while water is heating up since it happens quickly.

Great results with minimal effort
I have been using the Joule product for a few months with great results. The tool and the app work well together, are simple to set up and effortless to use. The online recipes enable you to have quality results immediately and in the process you learn the potential of the Joule and may then start to experiment on your own.
I have prepared, salmon, steaks, and vegetable dishes that are flavorful with great texture and consistency.
One of the nice things about using sous vide is the fact that you have greater flexibility with the timing of your cooking as the technique allows for you to maintain the food at temperature without it drying out.

This is the sous vide machine to get!
Everything has been great with the Joule. The app runs well and it controls the device perfectly through Bluetooth and WiFi. I have found that the Joule is much smaller and more powerful than other sous vide machines.
