Pricing beat anything I can find locally
Pricing beat anything I can find locally and delivery was on my door step within 2 days. Had no issues and found the process to be very streamlined. Stock of items may be an issue based on the sold out frequency on the website, but I haven't had an problem. Will be looking to them for all my future purchases
Bait and switch on free shipping
Bait and switch on free shipping. Made the order, waited over a week and then received a shipping quote of over $500 because free shipping wasn't actually available.
Not a fan
Not a fan. Misleading price matching policy. You need to pay for returns and they make you.explain why you want to return it. I would look elsewhere.
What a disaster
What a disaster. I wanted the sign up email coupon so I waited days for it. I contacted the company never did receive so went ahead and placed my order anyway to find out it was out of stock. Recieved email items was back in stock, went to purchase and out of stock. Finally purchased never received email that my item was shipped. Two weeks later told it's out of stock again. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company ever. Held back my order (I am assuming there was still stock) and I had to call to be told my order was on hold because the address didn't match my credit card address even though I selected a different address for delivery but the address for billing was correct and no one called/ emailed nothing, I had to find out myself. Never again. I'll stick to local.
I am very certain that his company is a…
I am very certain that his company is a remake of thei old business. A couple of years ago I ordered a product and it took some time but I never got it so I had to bug them for more than a month to get my refund. Then I came to trust pilot and I found hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of complaints about that particular company not chefsupplies though.
Then several months later I was on the Internet looking to buy some thing— cookware— and I came across this and I thought this is bizarre. This looks exactly like the other website and I’m pretty sure that is the design it is exactly like the previous site. It’s a monumental website and it takes a lot of work to create but they already had a site— They simply changed the names and some of the design.
NB: they are supposedly in Windsor. That’s Windsor Ontario. Windsor Ontario is the same place the old company was at.
I had even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Windsor Ontario. I had also called the police department in Windsor, and they told me that they “had heard of them.“
I also launched another complaint with some Canadian organization. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of that old company but I will look to see if I can find my original review on trust pilot.ca. Just now I realize that there is a trust pilot.com and a trust pilot.ca. Thank you.
Just beware —I’m pretty sure that this is the same same company where hundreds of people had filed complaints.

BEWARE: SCAM
In my experience, ChefSupplies.ca is not a reputable or trustworthy business, and I would not recommend buying kitchenware from ChefSupplies.ca. The item ChefSupplies.ca sent me is visibly defective, and, although they do not state this on their website, I believe they are selling inferior 'seconds' quality products and/or fake products and this is why the price may be lower than other retailers. Even though ChefSupplies.ca has received the returned defective item, customer service refuses to process the refund in a reasonable timeframe (especially given that the fault lies with them for sending me a defective item in the first place), and are telling me to wait another 2 weeks for my refund. They have absolutely no consideration for wasting my time, and I will be forced to dispute this transaction with my credit card company if the refund is not processed shortly. At this point, I feel that I have been scammed. Purchase from Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, or directly from the brand, NOT ChefSupplies.ca.
stay away, garbage company
Ordered multiple items which stated “In stock, ready to ship”. Items would show up randomly without any shipping notice or tracking given and one item has never been shipped. They are saying that it won’t be until 2025 even though their website says ready to ship. They wanted me to replace it with another item twice the price as it’s “in stock”. They also blame Shopify for the website, even though shopify only provides the platform, not the content.
What went wrong?
What went wrong?
- website states 1-2 day delivery. We are on day 19 and still no delivery
- customer service bragged about it being Canadian made. It’s being shipped from Kansas City
- when trying to get answers on delivery the CSR just argues and talks over me
You can see on here just with their responses, that instead of trying to improve, they just defend themselves.
Stay away from this site.
Pricing Changes Almost A Week Later, Unclear Policies, Slow Order Processing
Our experience with this company is terrible. We ordered on October 16. On October 18 the company told me that free shipping wouldn’t apply to my order, even though when I placed the order it said shipping was free. The terms and conditions on their website say there may be a shipping fee if being delivered to a remote location. This was being delivered to a city of 100,000 people in Alberta, I’ve never seen that be considered remote before. The postal code for shipping should have been able to indicate there would be a charge when I checked out regardless. They told me they would reach out when they received a shipping quote to let me know how much I owed. It’s now October 22 and I still haven’t received a shipping quote, nor has my order shipped (obviously.) Today I received an email saying there was a typo on the pricing and the products are actually over $100 each more than I ordered and paid for them. I don’t recommend ordering anything time sensitive from them. Expect to wait a long time for items to ship out, and be prepared for them to change the pricing, even if it’s 6 days after your order is confirmed.

Ordered a stainless steel cabinet from them. They state on their home page "ships today or it's free". Of course this means if it's in stock and I didn't expect it to free even if it shipped two days later.
Here is the correspondence I had with them:

We appreciate your patience and apologize for the delay.

I did not want it for free but they should have offered an adjustment given that it still wasn't here after 23 days. I never heard back from them.
TERRIBLE SERVICE AND DEFINITELY FALSE ADVERTISING ON THE SITE HOME PAGE!!

Terrible experience
Well first, I tried to change my address before placing an order but instead, the order had been placed, I contacted them Immediately and was told that they will have the item redirected. Well, they did not, I received and email stating that product was delivered??? So I contacted them again and pretty much was told that I had to make the almost 3 hour drive to get it myself (even thought They obviously Did Not put a stop to the delivery as promised) So now, I have to contact the new owners to have it shipped (which by the way is a 7qt pot) so I am sure it will cost quite a bit to ship, it will probably cost half the amount of the item itself Which by they way I found on Amazon for almost $70 cheaper but they will not honor the price either, Oh yes they did offer a $20 shipping fee, I guess they have not shipped anything lately as to ship as $20 will not get a small envelope mailed. Oh and also if you are expecting them to honor their warranty? Good luck, you will have to send it to the company that makes it. Read reviews before you buy, I have added mine to the BBB along with quite a few others...
This is a response to your answer below: As I stated on the phone to you, your site Did Not give the option of reviewing the order before placing it, it just automatically sends it. I noticed right away that the address was my old address and barely clicked on the address to change it but, the order was already place. I immediately saw this and so I then immediately reached out but I did not get a response until I called you, if you wanted to be helpful then you should have reached out to my many emails asking you to please cancel this item explaining why I needed this to be cancelled, If I had left it a day or so, then I could understand the item being sent without being able to cancel but seriously? you could not have cancelled the item? Any company that I have dealt with has always First: let you review your order Before sending it and gives you an email with the Option of cancelling as long as it is done within a certain period of time..as I stated on the phone to you, I Barely clicked on the address to change it and all of a sudden the order was placed? Seems shady to me. Second, some how my card was on there without me entering the information, which I am looking into. Third, I asked if you would at least cover the cost of shipping then b/c your system is flawed Or, it works exactly the way you intended.
And, as for your prices?...I have since looked at other sites and have seen the same item for $400, your site states that this is a $650 pot that you are selling on sale at "such a good deal" at $418? I think not. Which, as I said when I put it in my cart, I wanted to to check other places to price compare, However, I was never given the chance to price compare, well, you know, b/c I was not given the chance to compare. As for the rate I gave? you are correct sir, it is not fair, I would have put No stars, however, I could not write my review without placing the one star that I reluctantly did give. You have a good day.
As I stated, I did not press anything to which I wanted the order placed. All I did was to move the curser to where the address was so that I can change it to the correct address but your site just went ahead and placed my order. That has nothing to do with how hard or light you press the key to order...It was never pressed...Again, your system is flawed and as much as I wanted to treat myself to an expensive item, I now do not care for it But hey, as per other reviews, you wouldn't work with a senior on assistance so why would you bother to help anyone else, also as others have stated, You were previously called Cookstore.ca but scammed so many people that you had to change the name. That is not me making false accusations people, go to scam advisor and look for yourself....But do not search chefSupplies.ca Search Cookstore.ca and you will see for yourselves a whole lot of complaints via Reddit, BBB and even an article from CBC.

A 5 Star Company
In April 2024, I purchased a Primo P7 Planetary Mixer from Chef Supplies. The unit was delivered quickly and without issue. In September 2024, after 5 months of use, the mixer had a signifcant issue. The speed control was going well beyond the highest speed and could not be shut off, rendering the mixer useless.
I reached out to MVP Group (warranty holder) and receive very poor customer service. I also reached out to Chef Supplies to ask for assistance. Chef Supplies continously went above and beyond to make sure the situation was recitified and was excellent at providing quality customer service, communication and pushing for an acceptable resolution for the issue.
Chef Supplies DID NOT need to do any of this. They do not hold the warranty - MVP Group does - but they still took the time to assist their customer with a frustrating situation. This speaks volumes about the values and integrity of this company. I would not hesitate to purchase again from them in the future.
Time waster
Time waster! Posted a “pack of 2” kettles but only shipped one! When contacted, their reply is they made a mistake, it is only one; either i keep it or return it; making customers pay for the error they made. And the “ship today” is falsely advertised as well! My order was labelled as in stock but was shipped the next day. The order was placed in the morning at 10am! Definitely will not shop on this site again.
LOL, not just the title states "pack of 2" but the picture also shows two kettles, not one, and you call that a typo? I would love to show the confirmation email i received and the posting if only i can post a screenshot here.
Yes it is okay to make mistakes, but it is not okay to make the customer pay or make up the mistake you guys made.
even a one star rating is too much!
Well, i am the one putting the effort if you are making me create label, print label, take the time to drop it off at a FedEx location where there isn't one close by, is it not? So why do i need to do all these to get this package back to you guys because you guys couldn't honor your pricing due to the error on your end? All you guys are doing is, (oh, sorry we made a mistake, now you either pay for how much we want to sell it for or return it if you want the refund) what did you do? offer me $40 credit? why would i want to spend more money on your site when you guys can't even own up to your mistakes.
my offer was either send me another kettle as what you guys posted or refund me half; you call that unreasonable? but making me do all the work to get the item back to you to get my refund is reasonable?

Think Twice
I wanted to surprise my daughter by buying her pots and pans. When she received them they weren’t what she wanted so when I contacted Chef Supplies they stated that they do not pay for customers to return their items. I told them I am a senior on a fixed income and they didn’t care saying that I should have read the Terms of Conditions. That’s how confident they stand behind their product so think twice before buying from them. It costs me $87.00 to return their pots and pans,. I will never do business with them again and encourage you to really think twice if a company can’t stand behind their product!!!!

Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost. This is the most useless company to deal with. They keep giving false excuses of delay from their suppliers. It’s been 10 days I paid for the equipment and they aren’t able to give me tracking number of the product or send it yet. They are not canceling it too and issuing me a refund so I am stuck due to the delay.

I ordered a Flat Beater for a Eurodib mixer with the cost of $162.74 CAD taxes included. The website stated Free shipping and ask for any shipping charge during check out. But a few days later they emailed me and asked me to pay and additional $350CAD for shipping cost. Don't recommend to order from this website, wasting time.
Great customer service! Thanks for your help, Ricky! :)
I recently experienced the unfortunate event of having a package stolen from my porch. It was the first time something like this had happened to me, and I was under a lot of distress. I contacted customer service, and luckily, Ricky was there to help me. Throughout the entire interaction, he was patient and understanding, carefully walking me through the steps I needed to take to resolve the issue. Ricky answered all my questions and reassured me throughout the process. He was kind and showed great professionalism. Filing the claim with FedEx wasn’t the smoothest experience, but Ricky’s assistance made a huge difference. He provided clear instructions and followed up to ensure everything was progressing as it should. Thanks to Ricky, my issue was resolved, and I felt supported every step of the way. His exceptional customer service turned a negative situation into a positive experience. Ricky, you are a great guy. Thank you for all your help and kindness! :)
Free shipping my a$$
Ordered a poly cutting board. 22 days after ordering it still hadn't arrived. I reached out to customer service and was told that it hadn't shipped because the shipping cost was too high. Despite advertising free shipping on all orders over $99 (mine was over $500) they then told me I'd have to pay a $200+ shipping fee.
The worst part is they just never contacted me in the 3 weeks since I ordered.
Terrible customer service. Never ordering from this site again.
ChefSupplies.ca advertised a product…
ChefSupplies.ca advertised a product they didn’t have, so they shipped out a different product that I don’t need. I live in the US, and they only ship to Canada, so I paid extra to someone else to forward it (the wrong item) on to me in the US.
Now they are saying that the only way I can get a partial refund is if I pay to ship that incorrect item from the US back to them in Canada.
So I’m supposed to pay for the original product, forwarding to the US, and mailing back to Canada, in the hopes that they might then give me a refund.
Update on June 21, 2024: My discussion with ChefSupplies has reached the end with no resolution (the only one offered requires me to spend even more money), so I have to accept the loss and move on.
But I am not alone. From another customer in April 2024 on the Better Business Bureau website: “Chefs supply been doing false advertisement online for their products, using new models pictures while they do not have any in stock, shipping a totally different item to me”.
ChefSupplies is a storefront with other sellers fulfilling their sales orders. It appears that at least in some cases they do not know if the other sellers have the items available.
My problem would have been avoided if ChefSupplies knew if their resellers had available the items they are selling in their storefront.
And to reiterate what they have said, they make it very clear that they don’t support any business with clients outside Canada.

No refund on pizza bbq
No refund on pizza bbq - the no refund policy wasn’t advertised, and is further confusing because it is dramatically different from the producer company’s guarantee in the States.
