Buying a used car is always stressful. This one was my daughter buying which made me very nervous. She was very specific about what she wanted and this was the 5th viewing of the day. I wish it had been the first. We had called ahead so it was ready for the test drive when we arrived. By far the best car we had seen. The salesman, James spoke to my daughter like a grown up and answered all her questions. Friendly and professional. Great price for what we've got both for the car and the service. Really can't fault the experience. My daughter and I couldn't be happier.

My son told me about this garage that they had good second hand cars for sale, this is very true, great selection in my price range. Gavin one of the sales guys showed us around and within ten mins I had seen what I’d been looking for. Went for a test drive perfect and the deal was done. They MOT’d it sorted any problems out and I bought a 1yr warranty also which included MOT and first service
Which you have to have done there but that’s great, Taxed it and delivered it two days later to my house. It was delivered by a guy called Mark really nice guy went over all the paperwork explained anything I wanted to know. The best experience I’ve ever had buying a car!

Moved to chequers for my MOT this year. Really easy to book, and received a cheery confirmation call as well. Easy location to get to on the main road (don’t miss the enormous rear car park like I did though 🤦🏻‍♀️). Each of the 4 people I met were friendly. Sit-&-wait MOT was done in well under an hour, and passed (not bad for a 2006 plate!) Happy days. See you in 2026 :)

Although we ultimately did not purchase the car as it did not fully meet our requirements, the service we received was outstanding. The team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely treated us like family. I took my car into the garage at 8.00 am this morning and received a phone call from them in early afternoon to say that it was ready to collect after a service and MOT. I couldn't have wished for more.

After a horrible accident which saw me needing to buy a new car, I went to Chequers Cars and met Gavin. He has been amazing to deal with at every step, from the initial meeting through to the collection of my car. There was no hard sell, nothing was too much and he gave clear and concise advice and information on the car I was looking to buy. Everything Gavin said he would do, he did! I am so pleased with my car and service received! My car was very well presented for collection and everything was checked a final time to ensure I was happy. He looked over the vehicle and did a short test drive before phoning to get funds released. He stayed till the first nds had been transferred and talked me through the on line reporting to DVLA. Both your staff were great Peter explained the process and that his mate would take a few minuets checking over the car to see it matched my description. Once done, the paper work explained, and that was that. Money in my account and the car was gone. Many thanks for a quick and pleasant sale.
