Chess pieces and board are well made and nicely finished / weighted. Board is likewise very well finished and a very well sized for the pieces. Delivery was 1 day as promised, and as discussed via the chat, both the delivery and chat were very good. very pleased throughout.

The backgammon board arrived promptly…
The backgammon board arrived promptly the next day even though we had the free 3 day service. The set, a 21 inch tournament board, was excellent quality and very good value for money. On the strength of this I will soon be ordering a further 6 boards for my club as we want to set up a Backgammon group.

My chess box on receiving was slightly damaged. On contacting Chessgammon Customer Service a replacement item was received undamaged, as ordered. The chess box is just the thing to safely store my wooden Staunton Chess pieces.

An absolutely lovely chess set
This set as listed as an economy range wooden chess set. Well I can't see what's economy about it. It's beautiful and well made with hand carved wooden pieces. It comes with a gorgeous ebonised black felt lined box to hold the pieces and the board is nice and heavy. It's a quality item, especially when I've seen what else is out there in the same price bracket. This will last me years and I love it every time I use it. Well worth the money. 5 out of 5.

Excellent customer service
My dad ordered a chessgammon set for me for Christmas, and there were some pieces missing. The customer service team not only answered my query immediately (I'm pretty sure they were even on holiday at the time), but they sorted the problem and sent the missing pieces out with zero hassle. Really good service, would definitely recommend.

I ordered the 'Classic range Chess & Backgammon set' with 'Mother of pearl' - 20"..on Thursday 6th january, paid for next day delivery, and received it on the Friday!
It was very well packaged, and when I opened it, I couldn't have been happier! It was beautiful, with a polished finish, which made it look very good quality.
The backgammon pieces and dice etc were in a velvet drawstring bag inside the hinged board..as were the chess pieces, in a separate bag, and I was really pleased with the quality and colour of the chess pieces. Looking forward to using it!
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a good quality chess or backgammon set.
They have a large selection of sets, for different budgets.

Lovely item, quick delivery and good quality. Sadly one of the chess pieces (the rook) was slightly damaged but the customer services team offered me a range of options and apologised immediately, which was nice of them. Can’t wait to use them!
