The quality of the board is rather…
The quality of the board is rather average for the price. The size of the gap in the chess board when open is surprisingly wide and the squares don't line up well. I wasn't expecting premium but certainly better.
I also chose an engraved message for the board which wasn't done. Since it was a birthday message it's a little deflating. It was a free offer so not the end of the world but the service is obviously lacking.

Our new 21" Walnut boards with hefty Staunton pieces have us set now to kick of our 2024 Chess Tournament. They are wonderful to play on and the pieces behave very nicely letting us play speed and blitz matches comfortably.
