Chewy went above and beyond during one…

Chewy went above and beyond during one of the hardest moments for our family. We received a beautiful memorial stone for our beloved Melvin, and the care behind it was truly touching. In a time of grief, their kindness brought real comfort. It’s rare to find a company that shows this level of compassion, and we’re genuinely grateful for the thoughtfulness they showed us.

Missing items, No refund/replacement, No follow-up

I am disappointed to have to leave this review as I have used Chewy regularly in the past with no issue.

I recently placed a recent order for seven items and only received three of the items. When I reached out to customer support about the missing items, I was told the “weight on the box do correlate with the contents” and that I would not receive a refund or replacement.

This response was questionable and did not resolve the issue. Regardless of the package weight, I never received the items. I attempted to escalate the issue to prompt a more thorough investigation and spoke to a manager who said that he would put forth an escalation case on my behalf. It has now been two weeks since that call, and I have received no response or follow-up from Chewy customer service.

As it stands, I paid for four items that I never received, and Chewy support has shown no meaningful effort to investigate or resolve the issue. As a result, I cannot recommend Chewy.

Chewy Uses an Undependable Delivery Service

Chewy itself isn't bad, but they contract with FedEx for deliveries and FedEx is horrible so Chewy is horrible too in my eyes. 90% of my Chewy deliveries are dropped 150 yards from my house and then the driver drives up TO MY HOUSE to turn around. Today my package of dog food was thrown in a ditch by the side of my road and Chewy says "Sorry" but it keeps happening. I complained numerous times to Chewy, but that accomplishes nothing so IMO it's Chewy at fault. I have cancelled my services with Chewy because it's actually more convenient for me to buy in person at a store.

This company is incompetent and a total rip off.

This company should be shut down. I am a very patient person but this company is over the top dishonest. I ordered a new light for my fish tank. It came with a very different plug but no power source. Then my automatic fish feeder I order (in the same order) never arrived. They offered to replace it but could not guarantee it would arrive within 4 days at which time I leave out of town. That is the whole purpose of my ordering a $150 automatic feeder. Therefore, I requested a refund and then shortly after they sent a email thanking me for the donation in place of a refund.
Very unreliable and very dishonest company. I spent the better part of my day trying to fix this mess to no avail.

UTI FOOD FOR US!!!

While I would love to save money by buying cheap cat food, you know, the stuff that's mostly corn, probably 50# for 3$, but alas, I love my cats too much. They are prone to UTIs so I buy UTI food. Duh... Anyway, I ordered the IAMS UTI food for my shelter, yes, they're all on it, and was thrilled with the price, not to mention the delivery time. This is my "go to" place for their food, although if Chewy is looking for cat models I have many to choose from, and they will work for food. Thank you for being there for us Chewy!

I have to say Chewy is good but……………..

I have to say Chewy is one of the best, Now I have to explain why I am adding this review. I was on Chewy today ordering Food for the pups. I did Receive a Bday card for my big guy. 20% off your bday shop. I did purchase some chews for him. The code did not work. I went to the chat where the CSR advised go to bday shop. I asked her to direct me. She did not. Left me cart locked. I went back on chat informed them of the lock and the code not being able to be used. NOTHING no I am sorry, NO explanation for anything. I did the purchase today however I will go somewhere else. Why give a code if you can’t get what the animal likes? Makes no sense. They were great a couple years ago. Would go out of the way to help. After 2 CSR’s not a thing….If I want o be ignored I can go anywhere…Thanks Chewy it was nice while it lasted…. Sad day….

Always great

Always great. Amazing support. Any time I've encountered an issue with an order, they've always corrected it right away. Way better prices than we find at local pharmacies for meds.

I’ve used chewy for a lot

I’ve used chewy for pet foods, toys, cat trees, litter, dog toys and medicine. They’ve always been on time with delivery and accurate packaging. Some things are a little more expensive but they seem to take good care of everything and work efficiently with my vets office

Not pleased at all

Not pleased at all. They canceled my order bc they couldn't reach the vet and still haven't refunded my money. Its been over 2 weeks now. Wouldn't recommend using them.

Excellent Customer Service But Prices Aren't as Competitive as They Used to Be

Chewy's customer service is always exceptional. My only complaint is that they use FedEx, and while I have no problems with FedEx in general, when I'm ordering chicken feed, the boxes are heavy. Our driver prefers to push those boxes out of the back of the truck and into the driveway, then leave them.

With an area retailer selling Kalmbach at the same price, it's easier to get feed elsewhere. I'm noticing that for many of my regular purchases, the prices locally are the same or cheaper.

Bait and Switch

The company is fine surface level. But if you ever have a shipping issue using their awful carried OnTrac you will be stuck without your animals meds for weeks. After 3 awful interactions with customer service I will NEVER use this comapny again

5 stars, hands down

We have been using chewy for about 5 or 6 years, and we LOVE them. They have competitive prices, a great autoship discount, and incredible customer service and responsiveness. We’ve even used the connect with a vet feature in a weekend semi-emergency, and they were also wonderful.

Exceptional Customer Service!

Chewy's customer service is truly exceptional! Not only are they quick to refund or replace any items requiring attention but are also compassionate and caring toward their customers! I recently contacted them regarding an issue with an order and referenced the recent loss of my beloved poodle. A few days later, I received a beautiful memorial stone decorated with my sweet girl's name. I was so deeply touched, i cried. They also sent me a get well gift as i had recently been discharged from the hospital and the kind representative noted how sick i had been during our phone conversation. Thank you for your kindness and incredibly thoughtful gestures! You're hands down the best online company I've ever encountered!

I want to 1st State

I want to 1st State, I think Chewy Products are Great.
Customer Service is very Good.
I Do Not care for their autoship option.
I order as NEEDED.
I had a problem with shipping, shipment packing wasnt good. But after speaking to Customer Service, I hope my future shipments will come in Properly.

Boundary breach and automated hassle -account closed

I am a long-time customer who officially closed my account today due to a major breach of boundaries. After a simple issue with an order, Chewy attempted to inject themselves into my energy and space by sending an unsolicited return box and initiating a process I never consented to.
As a business owner, I value autonomy and clear communication. Chewy’s refusal to listen to my 'No' and their insistence on an automated, high-hassle return process was the final straw. I have moved my business to local suppliers who respect my boundaries. If you value your peace of mind and sovereign control over your purchases, be warned: their 'convenience' comes with a heavy price of corporate overreach.
