SCAMMM

What a trash company!! Do not order from here! Because I got scammed! I have to go to my bank immediately! They emailed saying “it’s on the way” but then it will just say delivered and they said to check everywhere and I did but it wasn’t anywhere because it’s a scam and I need my money back!

Excellent - Merci Bettina

Hi

I can't rate the customer service enough.
Was extremely worried when I read the reviews on here.
I ordered my dress, wanted a confirmation delivery date and couldn't get hold of the UK line, or a response to my emails, so phoned the sister company in France and spoke to Bettina within 30 minutes, she had confirmed the DHL shipment and tracking number. A very proactive, and excellent customer care extremely professional.
For info The French Company took this company on last year, and is getting it back on track. Milles Merci Bettina

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE. It is a scam, they take your money, do not provide refunds and do not answer customer emails or calls.

Crooks - avoid at all costs!

I purchased a dress from chic by choice on 28 November for my office Christmas party. Despite statements on their website referring to postage from the UK and my paying £10 for postage within 5-9 business days, by December 12th the dress was still in Portugal. As my party was on December 15 so I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money.

They refused as the package was still in transit, so I agreed to wait for its arrival and then to ask for my refund once I had returned the dress. Somehow the shipper they selected (Chronopost) messed up the shipping and didn't deliver the package until 9 January - really shocking! The dress itself was in much grubbier condition than described (sweat/deodorant marks under the arms and faded colours) and I didn't want to keep it.

I immediately returned the dress to Chic by Choice by tracked postage and requested my refund. Chic by Choice told me their policy was to not provide refunds. I accept that this is posted on their website, however it is ILLEGAL.

If you are selling goods online to the UK then by law you must accept returns and give cash refunds if the purchaser tells you within 14 days of receipt of the item that they want to cancel the purchase. For more information, google "UK Consumer Contract Regulations online selling".

I have explained this to Chic by Choice and no response, no refund and not even any exchange or store credit. They took my money and gave me nothing but a headache.

Complete crooks. Avoid.

I purchased two ex rental dresses and returned the one I didn’t want. They never refunded me for the £350 dress and have been ignoring my emails and calls for weeks. They are complete crooks. Avoid like the plague. They will steal your money...

Terrible!

Terrible! Ordered dress in the sale a week ago. Money taken from my account but have not heard anything from the company about shipping my item. I have sent several emails and still not heard a thing. Avoid!

TO ANYONE THINKING OF USING CHIC BY …

TO ANYONE THINKING OF USING CHIC BY CHOICE - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I ordered a dress MONTHS in advance for a very special wedding and:
- it didn’t come (resulting in tears and no dress on the day)
- nobody from Chic by Choice called me to TELL me it wasn’t coming!!!!!!
- ZERO compensation from their part
- horrible, horrible experience with their customer service.

I repeat - DO NOT TAKE THE RISK.

Unacceptable customer service. AVOID

Ordered a dress 3 months in advance, for a try-on service and an event in June. They were late to send it for a try-on service (they did not have it in their warehouse the day they were supposed to send it over), but did send it in the next weeks so I wasn't worried (although this was clearly a red flag)! Then they call me ONLY THREE DAYS before my event (they close on fridays and don't work weekends while my event was a monday) to tell me I wouldnt have my dress and I they would send me others to try on. I replied that it was unacceptable but it wasn't even the lady in charge of me speaking to me so the person I was speaking to had 'no information' about the rental. Of course, I did not even open the box I received since I don't want to pay a huge sum of money for a dress I did not want, and sent it back the next day. They did not refund me and had the audacity of telling me that the dress they sent was sent back 'used' therefore they wouldn't. I am STILL chasing them about my refund.

I am owed nearly £500 in refunds

I am currently owed nearly £500 in refunds from Chic by Choice. One is for a hire in 2 weeks - they emailed to say they are having logistics problems and cannot send my order but I can collect it from their West London warehouse. I said this was not an option and would appreciate my refund. I have heard nothing more since and they are ignoring my emails, and telephone is permanently engaged.

I suspect they are having financial problems as they are also having a 'sale' of many of their dresses. I will continue to chase them

Avoid

Avoid. Still awaiting a refund from a try on service. Did not go ahead with order due to poor quality item. £100 out of pocket a month later.

I loved my chic by choice experience!

I loved my chic by choice experience!
It was a fantastic feeling to be able to wear an incredible dress without spending a fortune or worrying about the cleaning.
I really recommend this service to every girl who wants to feel like a princess :)

Couldn't recommend it more

Chic by Choice is my preferred solution everytime I have to be at my best for a party or event. The team is super helpful and have helped me multiple times finding the perfect dress. This saves me hours and hours I would have spent going from store to store or website to website exploring options. And when the party is over, all I need to do is pack the dress and send it back! Couldn't recommend it more.

Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting, appalling service and tantamount to highway ***. During the ordering service the team are polite and helpful. However, when returning items, which were the wrong size, far too big and of shoddy quality - that is where the service really shows its nasty teeth. Following phone calls about the quality of the products, the items were returned (2 days after being received, not the following day) with a verbal confirmation that our 'paid up front money' would be returned. Then once they have the returned, unfit and unsuitable items back in their greedy hands, the 'refund service' no longer exists. If I had re-ordered one of the 2 dresses, then the refund for the unwanted dress would have been made. However, as no re-order was made, then guess what you get absolutely nothing, not one penny back! Due to the 'late return' which was due due the phone calls about the wrong size and disgraceful quality of what had been received, with reassurances that the refund would be made. How this company gets away with treating customers in this way, the staff are rude, almost laugh at questions, queries and requests for them to be reasonable and suggest that 'most sensible people' read the small print. The small print suggests, that if the products are unsuitable then a full refund is given. The small print suggests that late returns will be charged at 5-10% per day, when indeed I was charged a shocking 100% for 2 dresses for a late return of less than 11 hours, due once again to communicating with them about the size and quality of the dresses provided, with not one single warning to return the dresses today otherwise there will be no refund what so ever. My advice is to avoid this company like the plague, the products are poor and shoddy, they send you what ever size they seem to have in their stock and when you try to complain or request a refund - then you are practically laughed off the phone. I for one will be continuing to seek legal guidance about this company and I am pretty sure in no time at all, it will find itself on a TV watch dog programme - there must be 1000s of disgruntled customers out there. A european company literally stealing over £350. Disgusting.
