The itinerary planned and coordination by Virginia for my 5 nights stay in Beijing, was fantastic. Everything from hotel recommendation, itinerary, transport, where to dine, were spot on. Leah has worked with us for about a year and half. The first departure date was September 2025 but had to be changed because of a bicycle accident which caused us to delay the trip. China Highlights had no issue with us changing the date to May 2026. Leah worked with me on many changes because as I read she answered my questions and honestly answered if was a good idea or not. Such as she said try listening to Chinese Opera before making a decision. Good piece of information. Leah was always prompt in answering our questions. We discussed with her adding a few days in Hong Kong and she was honest and said that we would be able to handle the trip on our own as we have traveled extensively around the world. The trip in May 2026 has again been cancelled/delayed because of the war in the Middle East. Our flight through Doha was cancelled. We still plan to use Leah for our trip in 2027. When the flight was cancelled, China Highlights provided the refund within 7 days. Very positive experience

I used China Highlights' services for a trip to China in 2011. We were very satisfied with the guides and tours, so in 2026 we used their services again, this time for a private trip for two including China, Laos, and Thailand. Our agent is Lucía, who, in addition to being very efficient, is very kind and professional. She answered all our questions, made excellent suggestions, and greatly facilitated the planning and communication. We are very grateful. We will definitely use their services again.

We had a fabulous time in Bejing with our tour guide Tom. We had many conversations about the history, culture and philosophy of China and also discussed the technology especially the discussions about energy. Really changed the way we view the world. He also gave us a complimentary tour of Hugon neighborhood and taught us calligraphy. He was a great caring guide and our driver Peter was also great. Hope to come back again and do another Tour. I booked a family holiday to China and Hong Kong through CHANDLER for 17 days in March and April. We visited Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing, Zhangjiajie, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
CHANDLER put together a personal itinerary and covered the cities and sights we wanted to see and he also recommended others.
CHANDLER’s communication was always very prompt. Whatever annoying question I asked was never a problem and CHANDLER even looked into places he was unsure of even visiting a Family Ancestral Memorial Hall in Guangzhou.
We had an absolutely awesome time visiting China and Hong Kong and would fully recommend CHANDLER in putting together an itinerary for yourself.
We had no problems at all whilst on holiday. Everything ran very smoothly and was very organised. Nothing was ever a problem. He even checked in with us a couple of times during our holiday.

We started planning our epic one month tour of China 5 months ago. Private Trip planner Mia Jie helped develop our extensive itinerary. She was on the ball and left no room for doubt about her professionalism and extensive knowledge of the needs of Westerners. She dealt with our queries and doubts promptly and we were reassured every step of the way as we had chosen China Highlights based on online reviews. We are now half way through our one month private tour… guides and accommodation have been superb.

2 of us did the slightly > 1 week Yunnan tour to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangrila. This agency and Ms Carrie (our planner) made things so stress free and easy plus it was tailored to exactly what we wanted with last minute flexibility if needed.

Our guides- Selina, Jessica, Eleanor and Jackson were obviously well versed in their areas of knowledge. They became more like travel companions showcasing local culture and food and helping us bargain when needed :D

After much research, it was clear that China Highlights was the company to use for our trip planning to China. The reviews were not wrong. Our planner, Suki, made the process so easy! She asked good questions and made great recommendations as well as answered all or our questions quickly. My wife and I have just returned from an 18-day trip to China, one of the most beautiful vacations of our lives. Beyond the extraordinary beauty of the places we visited, a fundamental role was played by the organization of China Highlights, which supported us throughout the journey with professionalism, flexibility, and great courtesy. In every destination, we were able to rely on high-quality transportation services and truly exceptional guides.

The entire experience was expertly orchestrated by Giulia Zang, an impeccable professional of rare kindness, who designed our tour down to the smallest detail, making it truly unique. We also had the pleasure of meeting her in person during a dinner in Guilin—a moment that allowed us to appreciate even more her professionalism, availability, and genuine warmth. To her go our most sincere and heartfelt thanks.

In Beijing, we were fortunate to be accompanied by a truly caring and attentive guide: Xue.

From the very first day, she took care of every need with great sensitivity and attention, helping us not only with logistics but also in understanding local customs and behavior. This made our first approach to China smooth, enriching, and especially enjoyable.

She guided us through iconic landmarks such as Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. During our visit to the Wall, an unexpected snowfall made the experience more challenging than planned. Xue immediately coordinated with Giulia and, with remarkable responsiveness and flexibility, they reorganized the itinerary so that we could return the following day—this time under clear skies—without having to give up any of the planned activities.

What impressed us most, however, was her genuine kindness. When our return Etihad flight was canceled, Xue even offered to host us in her home, or with members of her family, for as long as necessary. It was an incredibly generous and thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. Fortunately, thanks to Giulia’s prompt intervention, it was not needed—but it remains a true testament to her exceptional care and generosity.

This was our first time using a company to help us organise a trip and we were not sure it would suit us, but it couldn’t have worked better! From our first enquiry to our flight home it was spot on! Suki looked after all our wishes and requests seamlessly. Her communication was prompt and personal making sure we had the holiday we wanted.
She even checked in a few days after we arrived to make sure we were happy with everything. We really could not fault the way our holiday was organised with every detail covered, from being met at various airports and stations to finding and helping us order at restaurants , taking us to all the sights we wanted having purchased tickets in advance for us. All the guides were conscientious and ensured that we got the most out of our time in China. Can’t wait to go back!
