ChitChat is a good opportunity to make new friends and talk to people all over the world. The support is nice and gives quick responses. However, ChitChat has some flaws when it comes to it's guidelines.

Redirecting your chat partner to another platform is strictly forbidden EXCEPT you had a "meaningful conversation" with them. Now I ask myself: "What exactly do they understand as "meaningful"?". I don't know, that's the problem.

You see, guidelines and rules have to be made as obvious as possible. But this is like saying "Only good looking people are allowed on this website". Now what exactly is "good looking"?

This rule was made to prevent scammers or hackers from redirecting people to other websites, which i get. BUT this also makes innocent people get banned for no reason, which does not make up for a good reputation.

What should be done in my opinion is warning the user about what people's intentions can be on this website and cutting the restrictions. ChitChat is 18+ so everyone should be old enough to watch out after themselves.

If you want to create a safe platform for everyone, then you need to educate, not monitor. Because people don't want restrictions when talking to others, and they definitely don't want to feel watched.

Great and safe place to make friends, easy to start chatting right away. You can tell the moderation is much better than sites I tried before.

Worst site ever only people that want 18+ Stuff, No one normal this is not a Chatting Site. Admins censor bad innocent words and ban normal people yet keep the people who only seek dirty stuff. Do not recommend. Bad support aswell

I have used Chitchat for years now and the app is absolutely stunning, I completed age verification by providing an ID check and I was allowed back into the platform quickly.

The safest online random chat out there with amazing staff in email and discord. Thank you for making me feel less introvert when it's snowing outside. I'm actually happy that they're strict about bans because their support is helpful and can appeal

Bad Site overall, Bad Ownership and a really bad Support System, The site turned from peaceful with normal people chatting to a dating site and site where people you know. I don't want to say the word but overall this site has turned into nothing. Avoid at all costs.

Amazing place to hangout with people all around the world. No bots no spam accounts. Everyone is genuine here. Also kudos to the support team.

I think the discord server was pretty friendly

Chitchat is a fun website to use for passing time! The UI is familiar and the user count is high enough to never have to wait long for new conversations. The best thing by far though is the mod team who seem committed to keeping the website running well and ensuring users are following the site's rules.

They moderate the site quite well, and reply for a support ticket usually in an hour. Absolutely correct team and service.

The site is like omegle but way better. There are a ton of users, I could get a match in a second continuously. You can add them as friends and keep talking on the site, you can view past convos and send them a friend request, and all of your chat logs are saved. You can use tags and everything. You can set a username and a profile picture. I found the details to be cute and helpful but keeping it to its essence of random chat. You don't have to accept friend requests that you don't want to, but if you really clicked with somebody it's easy to stay in touch with them

I got banned for 2 weeks for recommending someone to try another social platform before having meaningful convo with them, which I didn't know but is against the rules. I appealed the ban easily and comfortably and said that I'm sorry and I won't do it again, and after a few hours a kind representative answered that they've removed my ban and that this system is in place to protect the users from getting scammed or used. So nice

It is a nice chat site, better than all the simialr sites, it keeps the spirit of omegle alive but adds just enough modern features without it turning into a social chat platfrom.
