Top drawer brownies - delivered quickly- beautifully packaged- enough said!

Beautiful packaging and next day dispatch. Bought a box of brownies as a gift and I was so tempted that i bought myself a box too. They are very rich, dark and deep flavoured- even the ones with sweeter mix ins have that bitter edge- so probably wouldn’t be enjoyed by kids or those who have a very sweet tooth. The good thing about this is that it means I couldn’t get through more than one in one go. They are baked separately so have the crust and gooey middle. My favourite in texture was the chocolate orange one which was a bit less baked and was almost like a pool of ganache rather than a brownie. One star taken off, because I found the fact a note added to the box cost £1- and they were a bit too dark for me. I’d maybe try the blondies in future but wouldn’t buy the brownies for myself again. Just to add, the “letterbox” brownies don’t fit through the letterbox, so aren’t true letterbox brownies- while not an Issue for me, that’s something to bear in mind for those who might not be in to take a delivery.

Chummy's Bakery is the best online hamper service I have used. I have used 2 others previously, but this company is better because the food is fresher and homemade. They take care of how they package the goods. Will definitely book these again. Delivery was on time, and the service was good.

These products are absolutely stunning to look at and most importantly they were, according to the recipients, delicious. Something a bit different and made a fab gift. I will be treating myself to a box after this!! Great customer service too, delivery was on time and they responded straight away to a mistake I’d made re the delivery address. Would highly recommend as a gift to yourself or others, really lovely brownies.

Never arrived

These were meant to be delivered by DHL as a surprise and seemingly never arrived. Received an email saying they were delayed but nothing more was sent.

Terrible customer service!
I ordered some Brownies for a member of staff's birthday on Thursday 23rd April for next day delivery. Filled in the boxes on the website with ease after logging in, only to get an email confirmation which changed the delivery address from my work one to my home address, the name of the recipient changed the my own and the confirmation also stated that the next day delivery that I paid for extra would be on the Saturday - which is not the next day!

I tried calling but it constantly went to voicemail so sent an email requesting the changes needed if not, they're to cancel the order. Of course, someone emailed back straight away confirming the changes requested as if they did not they would loose out on a purchase.

On Friday 24th April I received a one hour slot of 15:00 - 16:00 from DPD , my driver being Reks. We ended up stalling the colleague from leaving as to receive the brownies. They ended up leaving at 16:15. After checking the tracking, DPD stated there was a delay and the driver would be there shortly. I stayed at work until 17:45. During this time, I called Chummys many times and sent emails with screenshots regarding the delays. Nobody from Chummys reached out or followed up on the situation. I'm sure they bake over the weekend and send food out then too. So if you can accept orders, respect your customers and communicate.

At around 19:00 my tracking changed to missed delivery attempt. Oh, I forgot to mention that I work at a primary school. So it's Friday, school closes at 15:30 but after school club is on until 17:45. The last member of staff was the until 18:30 and cleaners leave between 18:45 - 19:00. Again, I sent the information to Chummys. Now remember, I've ordered fresh brownies to be delivered the next day. These are now sitting in the back of a delivery van and are of no use to me. I contacted Chummys again, email of course as they do not answer customers calls and stated that I do not want them and would like a full refund. I was offered a refund then this was retracted as DPD delivered the perishables on the Monday even though it was received by reception while I was teaching in class. Is it not the companies responsibility to contact their couriers and informed them what to do with a package if the customer has already requested a refund for non delivery before the package arrives all be it late. I stayed that I did not want them. I stated that I wanted a full refund including the next day delivery charge. I continuously kept the updated via messages on their answer machine and many emails. I requested a call back to discuss the incident but I have not been contacted. They blamed the couriers but I didn't order from DpD, I made my order with Chummys.
If I have ever had any issues with couriers before the company has taken responsibility and followed up on the matter. Chummys is an unprofessional company who will do what they can to take your money but not take responsibility for their lack of customer care, respect and communication in ensuring a smooth ending to the problems that they can contrill and rectify. They have stolen!

Update:
Chummys have now given my refund. I will always endorse their products as I've tried them on many occasions.

The best brownies and cookies we have ordered! Its my 'go to' when sending to friends and family.

The delivery is very quick and efficient and customer service is the best.

What is there not to love about Chummys, all the products are delicious. I regularly send the cookies/cakes as gifts, the team are really helpful & ordering is easy.
