We booked two tours on our trip to Italy - one was in Rome for the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums and the Basilica - the other was a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre. The latter tour was fantastic and everything we had hoped for - well organized, wonderful tour guide and a great way to see a very special part of Italy. The first tour, however, was a complete let down. We started out with a large group of about 26 - however from the group meeting location to the starting point of the museum, an individual of a couple got lost. We spent 30 minutes outside the entrance to the museum while our group leader ran around trying to find the lost individual.

Needless to say we started the tour late and then ended up ending the tour 30 minutes earlier than we were supposed to. I am not sure if the tour guide, upon starting late, rushed us through the rest but it seemed that it was far too fast paced and we feel rushed throughout the entire tour. Very sad and frustrated that we were not able to fully enjoy the museums, the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica. I would recommend for this tour in Rome - the groups are smaller or you have two group leaders to assist with maneuvering such a large group from the meeting point to the entrance since it is a bit chaotic.

Service, service, service! Ciao Italy excels in what they do. From transfers, excursions, best hotel recommendations and dining. I will only use Ciao Italy for my Italy trips.

My guests were thrilled with their Sicily vacation with Ciao Italy. I am quite pleased with this company and their follow though.

Clients enjoyed their trip but there was an issue in the timing of the tour departure from Rome. The time for the tour was booked up for the same time as they were departing Florence. It worked out in the end.

This is the first time I worked with Ciao Italy and Isida and I was very impressed. So were my clients. They liked the individual service and going to the front of the line on some tourist places, especially the Sistine Chapel. Being driven around in a private car was something special to them and made their trip even more wonderful.
I will truly be back to book more clients throughout their Italian travels.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our 3 day stay in Rome with 1 day trip to Florence via high speed train. The private transfers were exceptional!! as were the guides in each location. Very professional. Everything went smoothly without a catch and we enjoyed the Hotel Empire Palace in Rome. Lovely quiet neighborhood with 3 nice restaurants few steps from the hotel. Isida at home office took care of everything and we highly recommend Ciao Italy and Carrani Tours!!

Guide was great. Most hotels were good, exception being Brescia. All in all, a most enjoyable experience.

My Clients were so happy with Carrani tours in rome, and the Vatican tour they had. They said the escort was amazing and her knowledge of the Vatican was so interesting. We will continue to use Ciao for our clients tours.

Most of the client experience that I booked through CIAO Italy was good. The couple of experiences that went bad were due to CIAO Italy not confirming with their sub-vendors that everything was all set. Both bad issues were in transportation. One local company had the wrong date for the transportation, and the other the driver got lost on a 2.1 mile ride...and the driver was a local. Not quite sure how that happens. Neither of these issues were CIAO Italy's fault, but I think they should get in the habit of confirming the information with their vendors so the clients have a smooth experience.

Prompt response to last minute request for multi-city hotels, rail and transfers...in high season! The trip was handled professionally and completely. Great experience!

An Evening At The Vatican With VIP Dinner Inside The Museum. Guido & Anna suggested that our group do the Vatican dinner and evening tour of the Sistine Chapel & Library museum. The dinner was amazing and was so nice to have a private gathering on the Vatican grounds. While the rest of the tour was still very busy & crowded, it wasn’t as bad as going in the day. The tour guides were very knowledgeable! Expect to do a lot of walking on this tour! We had a great time! I will highly recommend this tour to any of our clients.
