Missing products, delay, lower quantity than advertised

Received the products with delay, after 11 days from the order confirmation.

Shipment was late, and with missing items. The weight of the product was lower than that advertised and paid for (e.g., Grana Padano advertised and paid for 2.5Kg, arrived 2.1Kg).

Customer service was entitled, trying to find useless justifications rather than just apologising for the delay and the missing items.

Ordered some pasta

Ordered some pasta. Fair enough, will take a 7-10 days. 2 weeks later... no sign. A mail is sent and replies to be fair were good on comms (hence 2 not 1 star). Strong suggestion it will come the following week.
2 more weeks pass, enquire again a solid month after ordering... "our supplier no longer has it". Which... took a month with my money to work out.

My first experience of Cibimarket following mixed reviews

Having tried Cibimarket for the first time after reading mixed reviews, I found their customer service excellent, keeping me fully updated on my two orders the whole way through and always coming back to me very quickly with any queries raised, so would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Their prices for italian produce are I beleive the cheapest available in the UK, with their prices not dissimlar to the price you would pay for the same items in Italy, even though the items are being imported from Italy to the UK.

Good transaction

Used this Company twice now and orders arrived promptly, some items were out of stock after I ordered them but the refund was issued immediately.

Great experience with CibiMarket

Great experience with CibiMarket, italian food distributor in Uk.
I now became a regular customer.
Very top quality of selection food and wine from Italy and nice Team.
Thank you very much!

Quite honestly i was disappointed

Quite honestly i was disappointed, Lead time was far too long considering the price i paid for postage.

Quality of product was adequate, but could have gotten same quality for less elsewhere.

Avoid if possible!!

Great Italian supplier

I made several orders from this wholesale online shop. They get their supplies from Italy directly so all products have long shelf life. Prices are very competetive. It takes 1 week to deliver and they always inform about any replacements in advance. I like their customer service.

A disorganised mess with the worst…

A disorganised mess with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They tried to EXTORT extra money out of me threatening to cancel my order if I did not.

I make my own wine for local establishments and thought I would try out a new supplier (Cibi Market) as they have Italian grapes. So, because the reviews for this place are few and far between and of the 3 I could find, one is 1* citing the customer service is bad. I wanted to make a smaller order before buying in bulk to assess quality. However, upon trying to order a crate of each variety, the shop wanted to charge £120! Which is shocking given I've had delicate garden statues which weigh hundreds of kg delivered for less than £40. After removing one item, I found the delivery had gone down to £60 and made the order.
After making the order I wrote to Cibi to ask about the extortionate postage costs and they said it was an error, and that I could add more grapes to my order without extra cost if I wanted to. Hesitant to do this because of facing problems already - I declined.

I then began to buy some new equipment to make smaller test batches, additives and other consumables which I would need and waited almost a week (at which point all the new equipment had arrived).

At this point, the promised delivery window for the first three lots of grapes was closing so I decided to message Cibi to check on my order. To my astonishment, they told me to pay an extra £60 in postage (stating that their costs were high - never mind that £60 was already extortionate) or have my order cancelled! I was horrified that I was being extorted extra postage on top of the already unreasonably high postage a week after I had made my order and ordered equipment especially for this purpose. I thought it may just be down to error but I even spoke to a member of staff after making my order (who offered for me to add extra items at no extra charge!) - who should have picked up on any problems. It's quite clear that this was a case of extorting me at the last minute to pressure me into paying more.

At this point, I had had enough. They are disorganised, dishonest and almost criminal if I'm totally honest. To add insult to injury, I now have to return £500 worth of equipment that I won't need.

Avoid this company like the bubonic plague!
